I found your channel through Carol and Ken’s channel and have been binge watching your Ireland series since. As an Irish person I have to say thank you for painting Ireland in such a good light. Your positivity and enjoyment, even when faced with the worst of Irish weather, is really impressive!!
Well I am glad you found us and that we have represented your country well and we have shown it as we found it. For us the changeable weather is great as it shows the landscape and villages off at its best We have a few more to go but we will be back as we must do the north so hopefully you will enjoy the rest of the channel. We strive to improve our content and Ken and Carol are beacons with respect to that
During a visit to Ireland my friend and I accidentally wandered onto Conor pass at midnight in a rain storm… in a small suv at a crawling pace prayed al the way, a terrifying yet beautiful adventure ! God bless your journey!
They are often the best memories and adventures I have a feeling we should of thrown the logic out the door and driven it Thanks for watching and commenting - must of been a great feeling the day after lol 😂
We always follow the signage guidelines for driving or not driving over "passes". Well done! Cor! Look at the waves and wind having a fight! Thanks for taking us there! Ju 😁
I am jealous you being there so enjoy your trip - I think we bailed to easily but it was the insurance position that made me nervous I should of just embraced the risk 😂 Thanks for watching
One of my back windows shattered during a strong wind storm in Northern Scotland last autumn, probably the same that hit you hard in Ireland! As Stu mentionned a quick fix was in order, duct tape, lots of duct tape, grocery shopping bag and bin bags were very useful. I spent the night at a hotel... 😅
Yes it probably was the same storm passing through - that must of been frightening when it shattered - duct tape fixes everything oh as well as a bag for life lol 😂 Guess it’s all part of the memories that make Vanlife a true story
@@getawaygeese i was shaken at the time, but the next morning was really glad to go straight back to Pétunia, a nice gentleman secured a board over the hole. My van is now my cocoon and my safe place. I am addicted and cannot sleep anywhere else! Great following your adventures.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy the content - we are planning a new trip next year to the north and will be hunting down more jambon for sure and I am sure some craic in the pub
Great video again you two, the storm before and after shots were great and we just loved the insight into how your living in the van is adapting over time❤
Love your videos guys, thanks for all your kind words regarding Ireland but you are not the first that have mentioned the lack of bins about the country which is a shame really but you have shown us parts of our country we have never seen before, so thanks for that and keep up the fabulous work. Tommy & Mary Kildare 👍
Glad you enjoy them and we have shown you how we found it - we finally cracked the bins in that you just have to store it and go to a waste site - just wish there were more local areas so we could get rid of rubbish more frequently even if they expand those big yellow paid skips
Wow, what a great video. I'm from Ireland and when I watched this video I kept thinking how mystical Ireland looks. I love the wildness of it all and the nature. You managed to show it off so well. I think you were wise not to try and continue over the pass. I hope that you are not getting too depressed by the rain. But, the weather is looking up so enjoy the rest of your stay in Ireland. Thanks for showing Ireland in such a positive light. I noticed those Tayto bags in the van ! and I have to say, I loved that pub you were in.
The films are running behind and we are home now - they take ages to produce and as you see we had loads of them. The trip was amazing as every day we had weather extremes that really shows off Ireland We plan on coming back next year and will visit the North Hope you like the series and thanks for watching
Bless you two,ye are living your best life. Enjoying every minute of your holidays. Keep those trears up. I actually lived when ye were stuck indoors in the storm, recharging your himan batteries, just whats needed.
Hello you - can’t beat a storm we love it it’s when you are really close to the weather in a van yet you are also safe and warm Ireland gives you extremes in a very short period of time As ever thank you for watching and glad you enjoy
Hi Jane and Stu, that looked like an ideal park up for the storm. There's nothing worse for disturbing your sleep than the van shaking in the wind. Take care guys.
Hi guys. That pub looked brilliant. You’d have had to drag us out of it if we were there in that storm lol. Although there is something reassuring and comforting about listening to the rain on the van when you’re all cozy inside. Fab park up too, shown off by some fine drone footage. Take care x
Thanks - that pub was special as it was so homely and I suspect like you we love a storm in the van you feel as close to the elements except you don’t get wet lol Thanks for watching
@@getawaygeese lol. Yours works for you which is all that matters. We get paranoid putting the awning up in windy conditions anyway so there’s no way we’d put it up in a storm lol.
Thank you that’s very kind - we have a few more in the Irish trip then a whole new one but we are planning to return to Ireland in 2024 Thanks for watching
Don’t lol - sorry it’s taking so long but a 9 week trip resulted in so much interesting stuff A few weeks left then the next trip Thanks for watching and hopefully enjoying

Once again thank you so much for sharing all the beauty of Ireland and making the best of the bad weather....😛
We love Irelands bad weather as there is always something to see and it tends to move on fast - thanks for watching
I was in Garvey's in Dingle this morning.. and now I'm in Connemara.
I drove Connor Pass today and there was a small coach battling it and conquered.
I am jealous you being there so enjoy your trip - I think we bailed to easily but it was the insurance position that made me nervous

Heres to you Mrs Robinson, love the way you travel. No rushing just enjoying the journey. Murphys bar looks a very welcoming pub.
Where did you get your collapsible food containers from please? X
Off Amazon - search collapsable container as you may get different sizes - last lot we bought were all the same size from this link - amzn.to/3IH0wzb
Its a jambon 😊
