Enjoyed the vlog and the beautiful photos. Talking about the kindness of strangers we did a B&B tour of a Ireland when we first married some 30 years ago. Got a puncture in pouring rain and managed to get to Bantry where a man said he could take us to a garage. We followed him down country roads, getting a bit twitchy, but it was fine. Got the tyre replaced and went on out way. Never forgotten how kind people were .
Another great video, with wonderful scenery. the wee road at the beginning did not look like there were many pacing places, hope you did not meet too much traffic. The grass in the middle reminded me of the "main" roads the first time I travelled to the NW Scotland many many years ago. Many thanks for sharing. ATB
We went out of season so all roads were quiet but we did meet the odd one and you only need one 😂 I think it is similar to NW Scotland for sure Thanks for watching and commenting
Oh Stew. Taking that second bite of that chicken burger, was like seeing a sign for "Wet Paint" and touching it to see if it is. Trusting you had no ill effects 🙂🐕🚙
Hi. Not sure how I came across your channel but I’m glad I did. Thoroughly enjoying your vlogs. Will never get to Ireland myself so this is the next best thing. Love how you go down all the “side roads”. Have a long way to watch all your vlogs but giving it a good effort in doing so. Cheers Lynne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺🐨👍🏻😃
Don't you just love a single track road, especially one with grass in the middle. You actually had some crap weather! You had some gorgeous weather on the whole from what I can recall up to this point. There you go, dry weather again lol. Karl's phone is always deleting footage, it's so annoying. That was a nice walk and a lovely waterfall too. Just our kind of place.
Yeah the weather was changeable but it was autumn we tended to get stunning mornings - from what I can see it’s your sort of landscape and isolation with loads of history
Great video! Was a bit worried about Stew after the turkey burger😅. You put a lot of effort into filming, researching and editing to make very enjoyable videos. We have amazing scenery up north too…and we’re also very friendly 😊
Thanks Ruth thats a really lovely comment. Stew will be very happy that comes across as he puts so much effort into the videos. I was also worried about Stew when he ate the burger especially after he recognised it wasnt cooked and he then went in for another bite 😂😱 🤦♀️. Thanks for watching. Jane ☺️
Hope you got the loo fixed. Your gonna need it after eating those burgers lol. Those narrow roads can’t be good for the bowels either! Another lovely park up. Beautiful scenery and good fishing. Can’t ask for much more.
Running repairs worked and I can confirm the bivvy is still in tact and all was good with the burgers following a quick flash in the pan lol thanks for watching
Re previous vids if your unsure of the road ahead being suitable for a van dont forget you can take a virtual walk on street view on google maps. Great vids.
Hungry Hill campsite is named after a nearby mountain of the same name which is also the title of a novel by Daphne du Maurier based on the family who ran the copper mines at nearby Allihies. The actress Maureen O’Hara lived for many years in Glengarriff.
Loving following your travels in Harry and can't wait to start my own - 'Sadie' will hopefully be arriving by the end of April after ordering last March 😊
It must be terrible to come from somewhere that people don't speak to one n other even strangers, I hope we don't ever lose that in Ireland, enjoy your vids. Well done,
Yep please keep it as it was noticeable ‘heads up’ approach so I assume that wasn’t just rural areas and towns to - refreshing to watch Thanks for watching
Great video, well done. That small road with the grass growing in the middle is what we'd call a bóithrín (boreen), which is the dimunitive of bóthar (bó = cow, thar = width of) - in old times a track just wide enough for a cow to pass became known as bóthar, in modern terms it means road.
Hi you two,ye are down a area that we want to retire too,a beautiful part of Ireland. There is a lovely campsite down Glengarrif called O Sheas, and winner of many a RHS flower show. Great captures on yer road trip, thank you. Try online re losing footage, can sometimes open up the memory card and it is still there,or some apps can get it for you.
Thanks for watching it’s a beautiful part of Ireland for sure and glengariff in particular. We take so many gb of data cloud backup doesn’t really work for us due to size and stream rates. I just need to check and double check lol 😂
@GetawayGeese no harm checking, as I've deleted stuff off my system, and they appear when I open on laptop. But my son found a thing he old retrieve stuff at one point that he deleted.
Some stunning scenery in this episode. Loved the drone footage. That island looked very appealing. I wonder if he had a helipad. Looking forward to see where you go next 😀👍
I’ve said this before but it bears repeating…I so enjoy each episode you post! The scenery shots and Stu’s drone footage is gorgeous, Jane’s history notes are wonderful, and I love the comic banter. You two are such a fun couple! Do you need a porter to follow after and help w logistics?😁
Hi Jane and Stew. That sounded like good rattle under the van on the wee road. I hope there was no damage. That was a great park up, a lovely sunset and sunrise.
Thanks for watching and commenting so when we started out I used free software on the Mac called iMovie which is more than capable but my step son and wife bought me Final Cut Pro a couple of Christmas ago - you can get a similar base equivalent called davinci resolve or something like that so you may want to check that out to
You say you can't do roasts. I always wonder why people don't have airfryers in camper vans, is there a reason why you can't, the wattage or something? They would be so convenient, you could do a roast chicken and potatoes in an hour
Thanks for watching - you will see some vans that have a high capacity on battery to be able to use that which would be good or if you are on campsites you may be fine if it operates at the right wattage . We do a lot of wild camping so we don’t have the battery capacity to sustain it
Well if that was pur holiday home on that island we would be having a permanent holiday. Was that turkey burger still alive🤣 Supermarkets over here could learn a thing or two from how to display fresh produce.
Absolutely re shops we were amazed at selection of fresh goods in remote places - it’s just how they are set up I was going for the al dente turkey burger Thanks for watching
The rod is a rigged and ready x5 rod and reel kit - not cheapest but a great adventure rod and high quality stuff - case is brilliant Some do the whole wild Atlantic way in 3 weeks but I think you need to be selective and spend time in places - enjoy
Zetland pier I think you are referring to - in the video are the what3words if you use that but also the google long and lat you can type in google maps Thanks for watching and we will be a. It more prudent on shopping when we visit the north
Enjoyed the vlog and the beautiful photos.

I don’t think the attitude has changed based on that fantastic memory story of yours - thank you for watching and sharing your story
Great, fun enjoyable video. Lovely drone footage and music. Thanks Stew and Jane.
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching
Great video with lots to enjoy, thanks for sharing 🤗
Thankyou for watching
That was a beautiful moon shot. Take care Gill
We were so lucky I happened to wake up and look out - thanks for watching

Yes I do that as well - I am fortunately here to tell the tale - quick re flash in the pan did the trick
Thanks for watching
Loving the glasses Jane 👍
Lol I have to take 4 back up pairs with me 🤦♀️ cant see my phone without them 😩. Jane
Great travel VLOG again.
Thanks for watching and feeding back

Nice drone footage and music. Hope Stu was ok after the burger! 😬 loved the island in the moonlight.
I lived to tell another day or at least to cook another burger 😂
Hungry Hill campsite is named after a nearby mountain of the same name which is also the title of a novel by Daphne du Maurier based on the family who ran the copper mines at nearby Allihies. The actress Maureen O’Hara lived for many years in Glengarriff.
Yes we saw that but never knew about the novel and Maureen o hara. Thanks for watching
Lovely combination of food, scenery and van life. Happy travels.
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed
Loving following your travels in Harry and can't wait to start my own - 'Sadie' will hopefully be arriving by the end of April after ordering last March 😊
Long wait I know but enjoy the planning as all part of the process - thanks for watching

Wales and Scotland folk behave similarly.
I think we just noticed that everyone was pleasant in a positive manner that’s for sure

Well I never knew that Jane will love that fact and yep can confirm narrow for one cow

@GetawayGeese beyond Glengarriff, is superb, so beautiful. Thing is need to bring your own beer ha ha,they don't sell it in the shops lol
Beautiful area 🥰
Some stunning scenery in this episode. Loved the drone footage. That island looked very appealing. I wonder if he had a helipad. Looking forward to see where you go next 😀👍
The landscape is stunning ( Cannes UA-cam word lol ) and no helipad from what we could see

Hi Jane and Stew. That sounded like good rattle under the van on the wee road. I hope there was no damage. That was a great park up, a lovely sunset and sunrise.
Harry survived another scar lol thanks for watching
I've got one like that... taking me on a walk and then not knowing where we're going etc!!!!!
Thanks for taking us along!
Ju
😁
Lol that’s our sort of walk - thanks for watching and hope you are both well
Another enjoyable episode with some really beautiful drone filming... thank you, it’s such an amazing stretch of coastline.
Thanks for watching and feeding back - yep the coastline is spectacular but different to dependant where you are and weather
Loved that shot of the moon.
I've been meaning to ask how you do those 3D Animated maps of Harry?
Thanks for watching - it’s a small app called travelboast very simple to use and export
Nice lovely drive. Very interesting about the non native plants 🌱. The drone shot were great and the island was beautiful! Great video 😊
Thanks for watching and commenting- video capture is easier when the subject is so beautiful.
Another lovely visit with Stew and Jane. Really nice drone shots and music! If you don't mind, what software do you edit with? Thanks!

What was the name of the fishing rod kit thinking of doing irland in the near future is 3 weeks long enough for a good look around
The rod is a rigged and ready x5 rod and reel kit - not cheapest but a great adventure rod and high quality stuff - case is brilliant
Some do the whole wild Atlantic way in 3 weeks but I think you need to be selective and spend time in places - enjoy
what was the name of the pier you parked on in episode 15, also when you are shopping in Ireland you get better value in Lidl or Aldi
Zetland pier I think you are referring to - in the video are the what3words if you use that but also the google long and lat you can type in google maps
Thanks for watching and we will be a. It more prudent on shopping when we visit the north
