Sorry to hear of your loss buddy. I lost my grandfather back in 1996 when I was 13 and I was the one who found him after he passed. My grandmother passed in October of 2010. They were my only grandparents. My mom's parents both passed before I was born. Merry Christmas! I truly hope you have a good holiday!

They need more 1hour episode adventures like this! Reminds me of the old Top Gear, but more genuine and real. Makes me feel like, I'm actually with them on that adventure.
Re watching this again, Turbos & Temples 3 has just been announced. I can't wait, this is my favorite content when it comes to automotive on all of youtube.
I've found one Bangladeshi Guy and it's you. Big fan Nafeez bhai. I met you at my school Dhanmondi Government Boy's High School last year. What happened to the Lancer btw?
Thank you so much for highlighting the importance of farms and especially small family farms. Its so important to remember. And the most difficult part for small farms is that legislation that attacks large scale production farms kills the small family farms. And I love the march. Killer film as always fellas.
Man I would have happily paid money for this. Ten times over again... Thanks so much for all the hard work and the cost to do something like this and giving it to the world for free... Maaaaadddd .... You guys are a bunch of legends! Love from America

When I first saw 91mins my thought was “no way, ain’t nobody got time for that at Christmas”. I’m 30mins in, not finishing the food prepping that “boss lady” has requested, and am now 3 beers over the allowable limit per hour (set by that same “boss lady”). But I’m here till the end now !! Happy Festivous to All !
I fell asleep about 15 minutes into this and woke up when marty was driving the tractor ploughing the field and moog had the little moped and can honestly say I wasn't surprised.
I remember when this came out. This is like my fourth time watching turbos and temples 2. That opening sequence🥲 forced induction playing when you pick up the super turbo🥲 I'm 17 now and I remember when I first found your channel (I think I found it on roadkill's half of the collaboration) I watched an episode and didn't like the music. Now Moog Is my number one listened to artist on my Spotify... You guys are awesome.
Unlike prime-time travel shows and whatnot, with you two I feel like I actually just went somewhere for the past 1.5 hours. Your trips to Japan make it seem more like a real place to me, I can't put my finger on why. All I know is that I now want JDM breakfast.
The theme of youtube's rewind is social engineering. A car channel that focuses on cars/parts/mods was never meant to be in rewind. They wanted to promote channels that pushed social ideology, not channels that actually added entertainment value with useful information scattered throughout and the occasional bad joke (MCM is in the top 10 of word play on this platform imo). Until google decides to stop pushing social agendas MCM may never be in rewind. If you don't believe a word i'm saying go watch rewind again and listen to what they are telling you. It's a shame too, this channel should get a spotlight for the donations they've made alone, even if they do receive some minuscule tax relief from doing so.
@@swmp9x19 Also, they promote creators who make the most money for youtube. I think their main agenda is maximising profit. Everything else is secondary
I have been watching you guys for a few years now. And I very much enjoy all your content. But the true testament of how good this latest film is, My wife of 24 years PUT DOWN HER IPAD to watch this with me. She said you guys were very entertaining. You have no idea what a big deal this is. She never puts down the ipad when we are watching anything else.
The scene at the end with the two of you on the farm is just awesome. It's clear y'all are just two friends having the time of your life together. No supercar bullshit, no impossible to get to place, just two dudes on a farm. I've always wanted to take a road trip in some random car with my best friend, but this has cemented it. Awesome film.
years ago in a driveway showing people tricks to make swagger, who would have thought this is what you guys would be doing now? thumbs up. not like i had anything to do with it but views and likes and i feel proud for you guys. chop the world. Oh can you get youtube to make your thumbs up the chopped sign that would rock.
MCM - still putting commercial television to shame. This was nothing short of fabulous. Had goosepimples more than once. Thanks for another great year of amazing content. Here's to 2019!
Proper inspiration guys thanks for being legends awesome watch, sick cinematic's and great music. Big smile on my face when I sore the Super Turbo 😅 Seasons greetings to all 🙏
Hey Moog! I found your movie very inspiring!!! You made an effort and in my book you’re the winner! I used to be 150 kg and i was struggling with my mental health at the time and believe me the most important thing is to start and to believe in yourself thank you for the inspiration P.S. love the channel and the main one of course im a fan from 2009 so its been a while, in a way i am who i am because of you guys! :)
its all moogs own music, you can buy/download it online, not only the songs used in this feature film but any of moogs music is amazing and most definitely worth chcking out, i enjoy it on a daily drive from and to wherever i go, so do all of my Passengers haha, definitely one of my favorite artists of this time (as i like mostly older music non related to edm/electro/dnb/etc..)
Whoever filmed and edited this with you guys is a legend. That was a work of art in itself. Loved the angles, the lighting, positioning and vision that went into the shots. While it was simple, I think my favorite shot was both of you sitting in front of 7-11 in Japan enjoying the maaad JDM breakfast. Loved the film!
Just finished watching. Can I just say this is the most beautifully shot movie you guys have ever done. Was exciting to watch from start to end. Can't wait for the next instalment!
Figureight i find it so cool that you watch mcm! It just goes to show the car community can bring so many people together even from other sides of the world!
ValleVaan give me 16:9 please. Pretty much all display devices sold are 16:9. My tv is 16:9, my laptop is 16:9, my phone was chosen on the fact it is 16:9. Give me the correct 16:9 please. I presume this was filmed in 16:9 and then some data was needlessly thrown away to make silly black bars on any ordinary 16:9 display.
@@nordic5490 there is no black bars added by editing, if you wouldnt be stupid you would understand it, it is filmed in 21:9 and uploaded in 21:9, if they were to film it in 16:9 and then add black bars to make it 21:9 i would see black bars on all sides, now i can watch it full screen without any black bars, just as it should be. also it is not my fault that you are stuck in the past and one single aspect ratio, my main monitor is 21:9, my other monitor is 16:9 in portrait mode and my phone is 19,5:9. also there is no ''correct'' aspect ratio, hell, when years back people were saying that 16:9 is too wide and 4:3 is perfect, do you see anyone with a 4:3 monitor anymore?
@@vallevaan Dude, I have the same problem with black bars on my 21/9 monitor. Do you know the Google Chrome extension, Ultrawide Video ? It's super duper useful, you can strech, crop and just turn it off, when you dosen't need!
Valle, I have shot in 14bit 444 RAW, and all kinds of aspect ratios. I have done lots of Adobe Aftereffects work. The sensor on MCMs camera is likely to be natively 4:3 and is then cropped internally to whatever MCM set it too. I am going to guess that MCM likey shot and edited this in 4k 16:9 and then cropped the the top and bottom off as a last step pre youtube upload, to suit a few people such as yourself. This is throwing data away by definition. MCM may have well agonised about this, ie, 'do we make it look nice for nuf nufs skinny smart phones (possibly MCMs core target audience), or, do we make it look nice in 16:9 for the general public (not MCMs core audience) ?' I think it is very silly cropping the image to suit skinny phones (my Sammy note is 16:9), ie, were do you stop ? Should MCM start filming in vertical format too ? Have a nice day mate.
Have got an a FD RX7 and a R34 GTR,. Moog I am sorry to say, Marty is right. R34 GTR is the clear winner for covering distance with ease. For twisting roads and driving feel, nothing beats the RX7 and I personally like it more but you don't need handling to cruise on a freeway. Book a flight down to Melbourne, welcome to drive mine back to back and compare.
I think what I enjoy most about your vids is your friendship. You guys are so likeable and you also clearly enjoy each other's company. Oh, and all things JDM is fabulous.
i cant get over how good this is..... the editing, music , voice overs, drone shots, cinematography ..... this is like BBC top gear quality. you guys have 1) cool/rare car 2)new food/location experiences 3) an awesome friendship/relationship - people want all of this. the lifestyle, cars and comrade is what kept top gear on for decades.
Marty & Moog! It’s highly unlikely either of you would see this, but I’m still going to try cause I can! 1 fan comment into the void of UA-cam. I’ve been following you guys since the beginning. I haven’t seen every single episode or build but it doesn’t matter what time of year or mood I’m in I can always put you guys on and sometimes find myself binging for hours. Chasing midnight is still my top favourite and I’ve probably seen it 100+ times. Theres a few points I’m getting at, first is, thank you guys for all your efforts in the content you make. It’s cause of guys like you my passion for cars hasn’t died. I’ve come close many times to entirely throwing away the passion before. But! Then I remember the budget street cred build, turbos and temples, chasing midnight and kei to the city. In those moment I find myself remembering why I love cars so much. I struggle with a lot of things in my life like pretty much everyone on earth, but seeing how far you guys got always gives me major positive energy that I, myself, could achieve not all the heights I want, but a lot of the realistic dreams. Like owning a dream nugget! I’m not there yet. I don’t have my dream, but I do have something that keeps my dream alive, with lots of fuel into the passion. That’s my 1999 Impreza L in Black. It’s not a true GC8, but it’s a platform that can be a WRX/STi some day. It’s not super pretty but it’s getting there slowly and everytime I fall away from my love for cars I look at that ( beautiful to me ) GC sedan, and I think about when Marty picked one up and all the work you put into it. Someday I’ll get there. I don’t know when or how, especially financially, but someday I’m going to make videos about building her. Not to replicate you guys but just because when I watch your videos, I want to go outside that instance and do it myself because everything you do looks like so much fun and it’s something that can be done at any price range. Budget or not. I’m still carrying on the heritage and passion for 90s Japanese cars, because guys like you two are both still keeping it alive as well. I may never make it to the levels you have, but what’s important for me is that my passion doesn’t die. So keep making beautiful movies and how-to’s. Keep helping the upcoming generations find their interest and passion for cars. Keep exploring and searching for the best nuggets. Let’s all help keep this alive for as long as we physically can. The world is changing and someday we may lose the ability to drive petrol engines. These cars we build now may end up in show rooms never to be driven again. Wether they’re golden nuggets or belong in the bin. As an enthusiast, and as a fan of yours, thank you so much for the years worth of your life experiences and all the amazing people you’ve met along the way (especially the 88’s, those guys is what helped me decide what kind of enthusiast I wanted to be and what kind of shop and friends I want to be around) but especially the cars you’ve bought and did amazing work with. I never knew what a daihatsu was until you guys and now it’s on my list of most desired nuggets. The fairlady Z that you bought, reminded me of my old 79 280zx. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. I loved watching you work and build yours just as much as I loved the GC build, and even the s13 build which I also owned 2 of at one point. The point for this one is that it is extremely enjoyable watching people you’ve been following for 10 years build, not only your top favourite nuggets, but also nuggets you didn’t even knew you liked until you saw it in a MCM video. Nugget side note: I really wanna see you guys tackle a s5 turbo2 RX7. The only thing I haven’t seen from you guys yet is a rotary venture. I hope someday you do it because I’ve owned 4 of them already and no longer have any of them which I totally regret to my very core. But I will have one again, they’re also one of the most desired cars on my list even after owning 4 of them and knowing their pains. I don’t know how often you interact with fans and I don’t even know if this will reach you. But that’s my one major suggestion. Tackle a rotary please! Wether it be a FB, FC, or FD. Please help keep that community and love for rotaries alive!! Along with the rest of the other communities. We’re a dying breed and I haven’t seen anyone that doesn’t agree with that. Trust me I started out with Nissan and they’re still my number 1, and of course Subaru is my 2, but there’s something about an RX7. They can be really easy or extremely difficult. They require a bit of finesse and really fine tuning but man the driving experience is just insane. Please consider it!! Coming from someone who shares the same top favourite dealerships. I think you guys would love the challenge. Last point! I hope to still be able to watch you guys 10-20+ years from now, even if the content does slow down. Or you take breaks here and there kinda deal, someday, I wanna be able to show my kids if I can ever have any, all your adventures. And I hope they enjoy it as much as I did growing up. Your content, your music, your travels, the originality and sometimes raw aspects you both provide make it enjoyable to watch and it feels truly genuine. That’s why I’m so okay with continuing to watch your channel and even buy your Merch. All that aside, thanks guys, really. Sincerely- A Fan
The fact they don’t cut scenes every 10 seconds during dialogue is pretty great. No obvious practice runs or anything...just straightforward great content
Actually made my day, what a beautiful experience watching that film was. I appreciate you guys putting this on the internet for free, considering what kind of work has obviously been put in!
wow......just wow you lads are constantly lifting the bar, other youtubers simply don't come close to this, the production and camera work is stunning it really feels like a movie!!! this is something I can find myself coming back to watch and recommending to others and hopefully one day showing my kids! The best part though of your work is the relationship you guys have, mates until the end and have such a passion for cars and learning more, if there ever should be an example of friendship, it should be you to! what a cracking 2018 lads, looking forward to the next year! Merry Christmas & Happy new year to everyone reading this, hope everyone is winning in life & driving fast cars.
Other UA-cam R's are chasing the dollars, these guy's love what they're doing and it shows. It'd take a multi million dollar budget to reach their level and even then it'll be fake

Without a doubt, you boys are the greatest gift to UA-cam & TV ever, such quality, entertaining, professional work and you make so much effort to keep it free. You guys are modern day legends.
The video quality in 1440 and wide aspect ratio on my s9+ is the best I've seen on UA-cam, you guys are at the top for sure. And that's coming from an American who is a massive Roadkill fan. Once again, a very enjoyable Aussie-accented insight into Japanese life and Japanese car culture. I hope to experience the country and its cars firsthand one day :)
That little engine sounds so crazy lol.... love it..I know it's not the fastest... but I'd drive it all the time for the crazy different boost and relief sounds lol... and I'm 42... who needs a sound system with that sound track lol
can't wait for the second part.. next project better be Moog's RX7 Merry Christmas guys! edit: I love how angry Marty was when Moog ruins his freshly plowed field, HE WAS JUST TRYING TO BE HELPFUL
The best car show on the interballs ever.... it is reaching the goodness of old topgear. Funny, entertaining, educational content. My girl is not into cars but watched this with me for the first time and when it was over she sad are there more? I am so happy maybe she will see cars in a different eye now and to understand car culture..
This is one of those automotive UA-cam master pieces.. Reminded me why MIGHTYCARMODS is awesome and why I watch it.. All the little garage videos are always good but when MIGHTYCARMODS do these feature films they blow everyone else of the TV. (GEARS AND GASOLINE are a close second). This was an amazing video, brilliantly edited. Main stream TV just can't make this sort of thing. It's Christmas morning and after the kids opened their presents I sat and watched this and it was a perfect Christmas gift for myself. My wife used to have to pay £15 to HMV for me to have quality automotive greatness on Christmas morning.. Thank you MIGHTYCARMODS. If I was give a UA-cam award for best video of the year then you guys just stole it. GEARS AND GASOLINE did a great series earlier in the year about driving from Florida to Alaska which is now the runner up..
I think the guys on GEARS AND GASOLINE do work on their own cars too... I was just referring to their ability to put together a feature video. Both channels are awesome at it. The camera shots, stories, information, the editing. I watch quite a few UA-cam channels but definitely MIGHTYCARMODS and GEARS AND GASOLINE put their films together like professionals.
Still one of the best intros of all time. The entire sequence of picking the car up is like something out of a video game. Lighting is perfect. Setting is perfect. Car is perfect. Fantastically done all
Hi Mightycarmods. I have been watching your for around 4 years and haven’t missed a single video, and bought many mad merch! And I have just imported a JDM mini because of you guys, it’s totally mad and like a go kart, it needs some love and some new paint. And seeing all those minis in this amazing video bought a tear a tear to my eyes. If you do read this thanks guys you have changed my life!
Sorry, a bit late to the party but had to pick up a few beers. Hats off to the three of you, all done with no ego, arrogance or hubris and the quality is of professional standards! All that and humour?
As a massive winter sports fan I love ski and snowboard films especially the ones that feel so natural. What MCM does with these movies gives me the same excitement and drive and commitment to always keep chasing my love for cars. Thank you MCM

I still remember how excited and intrigued I was the day that this movie came out. It was Christmas Eve here in the US (obviously), and my sons had already opened their first Christmas gifts, and I was scrolling on UA-cam looking for something to watch because I was bored. Along comes Marty and Moog, with an amazingly awesome movie on Christmas Eve, from the land of JDM nonetheless. I was so grateful. It is currently 2/15/20 and I'm watching it again in the background while I work on my piece of crap Mk4 Golf...(don't get excited, it's a 2.0 8 valve NA 5 speed, but I am about to put a Turbonetics 60-1 on it).

Thank you so much for highlighting the importance of farms and especially small family farms. Its so important to remember. And the most difficult part for small farms is that legislation that attacks large scale production farms kills the small family farms. And I love the march. Killer film as always fellas.
i grew up in a midwestern american farming family. which is why i somehow ended up driving volkswagens and building computers for a living.

It's a Festivus for the rest of us! Festivus isn't over until you pin me!!

I fell asleep about 15 minutes into this and woke up when marty was driving the tractor ploughing the field and moog had the little moped and can honestly say I wasn't surprised.
Thanks!

MCM #2 on Trending. Yeah the boys!
MCM is better than anything you see on Australian TV. It's creators like these guys who should be on UA-cam Rewind!
Grant Cassar not enough vloggging or reaction videos perhaps
Not just better than Aussie TV mate, better than most Brit TV too, and I bet, better than most TV anywhere.

Rx7 is dream car tho
Whoever filmed and edited this with you guys is a legend. That was a work of art in itself. Loved the angles, the lighting, positioning and vision that went into the shots. While it was simple, I think my favorite shot was both of you sitting in front of 7-11 in Japan enjoying the maaad JDM breakfast. Loved the film!

uploaded correctly in 21:9 and not with black bars! HELL YES! THANK YOU!
MCM may have well agonised about this, ie, 'do we make it look nice for nuf nufs skinny smart phones (possibly MCMs core target audience), or, do we make it look nice in 16:9 for the general public (not MCMs core audience) ?'
I think it is very silly cropping the image to suit skinny phones (my Sammy note is 16:9), ie, were do you stop ? Should MCM start filming in vertical format too ?
Have a nice day mate.
So relaxing. Gotta love these feature films. Watched this multiple times just can’t wait for the next turbos and temples!
only gotta wait one more day, cant wait...
Sincerely-
A Fan

This was an amazing video, brilliantly edited. Main stream TV just can't make this sort of thing.
It's Christmas morning and after the kids opened their presents I sat and watched this and it was a perfect Christmas gift for myself. My wife used to have to pay £15 to HMV for me to have quality automotive greatness on Christmas morning..
Thank you MIGHTYCARMODS.
If I was give a UA-cam award for best video of the year then you guys just stole it. GEARS AND GASOLINE did a great series earlier in the year about driving from Florida to Alaska which is now the runner up..
Unlike gears and gasoline, at least marty and moog can work on their own cars...
