The cinematography is just epic Blake, as is the incredible flow of the edit - an exponential feat to deliver in such beautifully graded 4k! The soundtrack is absolutely on point, next level Moog. Martin, your feverant joy in the simple things is infectious. And the genuine mateship and camraderie playing out so naturally on screen between Marty and Moog serves as an inspiration for us all to cherish both friendship and passions shared. Marty & Moog, after watching this film I must say I got rather emotional. It made me remember the first time I stumbled upon your channel roughly ten years ago.
I was about 11 years old back then and in a few weeks I turn 22 which is insane. You've given me immeasurable pleasure and entertainment throughout the years, I just can't describe how much fun I've had watching your videos. I want to properly thank you for existing, no one in this world could possibly replace you, I swear you have the most interesting and fun personalities imaginable. So whatever you guys end up doing in the future I'll always be watching and if I ever have the pleasure to meet you, I'd love to eat some Kebab or Takoyaki with you.
    Happy New Year in arrears!
    Sincerely,
    Zeb

Electro Drives ‘Stutututu’ turbo flutter is actually the opposite of blow off noise. Blow off valves dump the excess pressure the turbo creates when you close the throttle. Without the dump valve the excess pressure the turbo creates on overrun has nowhere to go because the throttle butterflies are closed (on non fly by wire cars anyway) so it goes backwards through the turbo and stalls it. The stutututu is actually air trying to go backwards through the turbo, dump valve pshhhh is that excess air getting vented to prevent this.

Ive seen every video at least once. There's something so pure about the videos you guys make that keeps me watching. There have been dozens of other mainstream auto youtubers that are in it for the money or fame, not the cars, friendship and experiences like you 2 are. And thats why i think i relate to mcm so much. Its not about having the best car its about having a good time making memories with your friends and sharing your passion together. This is a message you guys really portray in your videos very well, especially in the feature movies like this. You guys are truly masters at your craft of video making and i cannot wait to see where it goes. From humble beginnings to a bright future, mcm has changed so much since it started but at the same time so little. The message is still and always has been the same. This film has once again reminded me why i love cars, and why they are so special. It is exactly like you said, they tell a story, they take us places, and through that they become our most treasured possessions. It was not too long ago that i was in a very dark place, and i didn't see a way out anymore, but then i watched Chasing Midnight and i was reminded of what i live for, and the beauty in how cars can bring people together. This film made me feel the exact same way, the shot of the 370z in the streets of Tokyo was favorite one, the 350z was what started my love for cars, and seeing the evolution of that car that i love so much driving down the streets of the number one place i wanna visit in that lighting and with me the music etc. had me in tears.

In an era where people are looking for breaks with superhero flicks(although that isn't a bad thing) you two folks have found an amazing recipe to turn (what most would think is) a regular journey through modifying cars, turned it into something much more rich and intense with your everyday struggles and the truth behind ownership of aging pieces of automotive history. You've also taken us through the hall of fame(if you will) of how the people live in Japan, came to design their set of wheels and also how they drive the cars that they've designed on their own roads. What's even more funtastic is how they are all layered and serve each other both vertically and horizontally(respect, honor, function, the way of life and understanding), as any symbiotic community would need in order to function. A stark contrast to what people elsewhere think need to be done by serving yourself alone.
Like any film that has depth in character, said character's backstories and the usual shenanigans, you two have managed to make the car the character of this film while also not getting lost in the process as most would happen to do for the sake of UA-cam.
Believe me when I say that it's 4 42am(where I'm residing) as I type this out to you fellas, after watching the concluding part to this 2 part film. I apparently finished work early so I can finish dinner early and sit down to watch this like any enthusiastic film goer to the theater would. If I had to buy tickets to this show, I'd do it over and over again over every weekend in honor of the dedication, effort and resolve towards making this film come to light.
Tipping my hat would be an offence in Japanese culture so I would rather bow in humble gratitude. To bring another matter to light, I thought you guys were fumbling idiots at first glance(the Ferrari in Abu Dhabi video) but upon request to watch your content courtesy of my little brother(who is more madder than you two combined) you and your antics have grown on me, across the years, much like family.
So mates, ありがとうございます for 3 hours of bliss and a semi-parting gift to 2018! Please pass my gratitude on to the people behind the scenes that made this movie possible, they were part of it, after all!
    Cheers!
    :)

This makes me miss my old nugget... 1985 Toyota Celica GTS.. in white... the 22re motor was bulletproof, a friend of mine bought a whole parts car for me for $50 (needed interior parts and some little engine bits) it loved curves, and screamed on the straights. Before my dad died from MS, dad bought me the parts and I did a block in engine rebuild (rear main bearing slipped) and he took the first test drive afterward.. (dad loved speedy little manual trans cars) that celica never left me hanging.. even with a slipped main it always started and ran, amazingly the crank was totally fine, it was so dependable... sadly had to sell it to get a more practical vehicle when I became a foster parent to two wonderful girls. Told myself “one day.. I’ll buy another” then I became the father of four more amazing kiddos, (couldn’t find enough cool people to hang out with in the world.. so I made my own 😆” my youngest is 4 now.. by the time he turns 16 I’ll be 58 years old... I’ll always remember that 85 celica.. and the smile it put on my face.. love your movies guys.. music is awesome too... reminds me of my earlier days.. I embrace fatherhood now, I wouldn’t change if for the world... strange how a little white Japanese nugget can remind you of such fond memories... have a good one guys..

I just looked and the same car is over £5000.

The sheer joy on Marty's face just says it all.
Great series. Watched it a few times now. Love the quality content you guys continue to put out. Probably the best channel on UA-cam.

That was amazing. The production value is really, really good, I was completely soaked in. This is cinema worthy stuff. If you guys are up for it, you should make Feature Films like this about different keyplayer countries of the world's carscene. France, Germany, Britain, Italy, USA, etc. I think we all would love to see the both of you tear up some Alpine roads in an Alpine A110, swerve through the hills around Sochaux in some fast Peugeots, go 300+ km/h in an RS6, do some wet laps in a Lotus, etc. I know you guys'll love that

I can’t believe I didn’t see these when they came out. It felt like hanging out with the bros on a trip. Thanks for sharing this. I watched after I saw your episode about getting your car imported into Australia.
