RoadKill - I think you guys represented RoadKill perfectly! The epic-ness of the zip-tied, sketchy, completely inappropriate level of parking lot engineering is what makes watching RoadKill awesome! WHEN (not IF) you go down under, I'd like the challenge to be saving a car from a wrecking yard and making it awesome (or Ma-a-a-a-d!). Probably too much to expect 1970s era cars laying around for cheap in AU, but if you can find an old 1970 Holden Monaro (coupe) or Belmont (ute). It's about as close to American as possible and still be truly Australian. Alternates are the Chrysler Valiant Charger (pre-Mitsubishi) or the Ford Falcon from the same era. (Saving one from a wrecker would also completely play up to the "greener" sensibilities of the blokes from MCM and possibly convert a few JDM guys in the process.)

You can't deny the the Aussies put way more effort in and had a much better product in the same time frame. This episode makes me think that roadkill isn't as good as I thought it was

does anyone realize that mcm had 4 extra specialized guys, a lift, more tool options, and a shop to do build a car in? road kill had like always, a parking lot, 2 people total, and a box of what appeared to be borrowed tools. MCM kept with their typical fashion, and road kill stuck with their halfass roadkill work. each side did their thing as agreed and it was an awesome mash up.
I'd agree, but they do generally at least do a bullshit last minute awesome thrash on the car IN THEIR EMPLOYER'S GARAGE. They could at least have done the same exact thing on those premises lol. In all seriousness I agree that it's typical Roadkill v. typical MCM.

As long as the vehicle was manufactured with no seat belts, then none are needed. As far as the no headlights, that probably depends on how nice the police are. And most cities have noise regulations, so both the subarute and the impala are exceptionally too loud...
Ali D engine modifications are restricted to smog but they pass you if you know the person whos testing. My cars too loud, would never pass smog, so youre not too far off

Subaru did have a ute back in the day. it was called the 'brumby'. Pretty rare now days as far as i know. i havnt seen one in ages. But i know some lunatics have swapped WRX parts in it and made them nuts.

to everybody bitching about the half assed impala: that's the point of roadkill and that's how it's always been done. start at episode 1 and make your way back to this and maybe by then you'll get it.
It's been done 1000 times. Of course it's not easy but you can't something that is done so often hard either. Im Aussie so I guess a bit biased but they could of put more effort than just sticking in an engine they already owned, and doing a half assed job at that even considering the alternator didn't even work.
MrFunnyMonkey that would be a mistake. a welded rear end and new tires would make the weakest link in the chain their transmission, which is relatively stock. increase the traction and it'd probably fry the clutch discs.
The stock turbo 400 is RELIABLE at around 450lbft. This big block is making a lot more than that. If the torque converter is a lockup-type, it could very easily lunch the clutches or break the sun gear.
It probably had a mechanical fuel pump driven off the original engine. In the interests of time and speed they make the parking lights their ignition source.
After watching MCM fly to LA and stay up for two days making an awesome car, then watching these guys put any existing motor into a rust bucket, I know who won.
@Thyer Hazard You know Mighy Car Mods also run their second channel "mcmtv2". Moods also make all (most atleast) music in their main channel episodes to! However, they flew from Australia just for this episode, witch mean you probably gonna have the extra energy in their brain to put more effort and will into it. Not a daily RK fan but they sure did a very great job to, i would have wanted abit more scenes from the swap/building sceenes. But that maybe aint their style and then i accept that!

Kim Chi said it just as well as I could! Swapping a Gen 1 Chevy V8 is about the easiest thing to do in the car world. MCM went full bore on cutting, welding, caging, painting, modifying, and tuning. Roadkill effed up dropping in a crate engine.
They absolutely could have, but then it wouldn't have been roadkill. This highlights perfectly the difference between the 2 shows (just in my opinion). :)
This episode is seriously the only reason I went out and traded my 83 LTD for a 69 Impala. Mine's even the same rusty blue, but a four door with a 327. Greatest car I've had in a long time.
McM flew in from Australia, jet lagged.Had a garage prepared, bought a car, asked friends to skip the holidays for the episode and they didn't even get to do burnouts on the car that was built for them. I hope they take the Subaru back home

uMovie97 Rice or weak bolt-on mods every episode, incessant overacting by Moog/Marty (one plays the funny-man, well he tries to at least, and the other plays the fool), and anything that requires time or skill almost always involves a bunch of wankers. Those are some great reasons to flip them the bird. Turbo Yoda is the only decent bloke who makes an appearance on the show, and he also happens to be the one that barely ever speaks. Funny how that works.
Roadkill needs their own UA-cam channel. I'm not subbing to Motortrend to sift through all the videos I don't wanna watch, just to find ones that look like they could be Roadkill episodes.
Maybe they'll release another schedule for season 6 on their Facebook page, like they did with season 5. The last 2 episodes of season 5 will be released on January 6th, and January 27th.

You know Mighy Car Mods also run their second channel "mcmtv2".
Moods also make all (most atleast) music in their main channel episodes to!
However, they flew from Australia just for this episode, witch mean you probably gonna have the extra energy in their brain to put more effort and will into it. Not a daily RK fan but they sure did a very great job to, i would have wanted abit more scenes from the swap/building sceenes. But that maybe aint their style and then i accept that!

MCM went full bore on cutting, welding, caging, painting, modifying, and tuning. Roadkill effed up dropping in a crate engine.
Road kill basically is a chevy v8 swap that dies every 20 minutes, lol. That's what they do, don't every change, roadkill.

They absolutely could have, but then it wouldn't have been roadkill. This highlights perfectly the difference between the 2 shows (just in my opinion). :)
While the frame is trash in true Roadkill fashion they just gifted them a 5-8k motor.

This episode is seriously the only reason I went out and traded my 83 LTD for a 69 Impala. Mine's even the same rusty blue, but a four door with a 327. Greatest car I've had in a long time.
McM flew in from Australia, jet lagged.Had a garage prepared, bought a car, asked friends to skip the holidays for the episode and they didn't even get to do burnouts on the car that was built for them. I hope they take the Subaru back home

uMovie97 Rice or weak bolt-on mods every episode, incessant overacting by Moog/Marty (one plays the funny-man, well he tries to at least, and the other plays the fool), and anything that requires time or skill almost always involves a bunch of wankers. Those are some great reasons to flip them the bird.
Turbo Yoda is the only decent bloke who makes an appearance on the show, and he also happens to be the one that barely ever speaks. Funny how that works.

Roadkill needs their own UA-cam channel. I'm not subbing to Motortrend to sift through all the videos I don't wanna watch, just to find ones that look like they could be Roadkill episodes.
Maybe they'll release another schedule for season 6 on their Facebook page, like they did with season 5. The last 2 episodes of season 5 will be released on January 6th, and January 27th.
