I own two Carminas. The first ome a Shell cordovan long wing blutcher. Fit is a disaster... The second one is a Shell cordovan wholecut in rain last. Fit is excellent. One of my best.
Amazing how that works, right? Maybe one day I'll go downtown to Carminas NYC store and try lasts until I find one that fits. I'm guessing they don't have many in my size in stock tho.
I'm a fan of Carmina, but TLB Mallorca Artista Line is a GREAT BRAND, I own 3 pairs of Carmina 2 LWB one in Burgundy Vegano Leather, one in Chocolate Suede and a Black Suede Tassel Loafer, from TLB Mallorca Artista Line I own 2 pairs both Oxfords one in Burgundy Museum Calf and the other in Dark Brown Hatch Grain Leather, the only thing I don't like about Carmina is their Customer Service with being said I enjoy the brand but with some companies out there like Yearn, CNES I love try different brands with my shoe collection over 50+ shoes, also I'm a huge fan of SUEDE SHOES.
Thanks for that, David! (no relation to Allen, I presume 😂😉). I also really like my TLBs, and they are my best fitting, most comfortable so far. Yearn is making me another pair with added arch support, (I think I have high arches), so we'll see when they arrive. I'll be sure to update you!
Hey buddy, I like your watch, shoe, suit and fit content 👌🏽✨ you’re a man of quality and good taste like myself, do you own fountain pens? If so make some vids on that please. It’s funny that I went through the same path through good year welted shoes, have you tried Meccariello?
Hi Frank, Thanks for the compliment. I haven't used a fountain pen in years! I like the way certain nibs can enhance your handwriting. Maybe I'll look into it. And Antonio M 😉
@ That’ll be great if you get back into fountain pens, journaling and organizing. Since you have an extensive Seiko collection, you should stick to Japanese craftsmanship and pair them with pens like Sailor and Pilot. Good luck and enjoy your holidays!
Great review and honestly I like your Navy BLK BRD shoes that you you reviewed way better than those Carmina shoes. I actually just placed an order for that Navy BLK BRD you reviewed but I have them making it for me in a Navy suede and they are adding a medallion to the toe which I requested . I also have a customized Mustard and Brown shoe coming from them also so I'm looking forward to seeing what BLK BRD can do. I actually work down the block from a Carmina store in NY and their shoe look decent but honestly they aren't worth the price.
@@bigbristv I told them to take their time on my 2 pairs so they can come good so I'm figuring I'll probably get them sometime in Feb so I'll let you know how they turned out.
Hey Big Bris, I agree with you about the differences that you pointed out between this pair of Carmina, and the TLB and Yearn. If you can, will you give another opinion about these shoes after you put several wears on them? And from a distance, while on your feet, do these differences matter that much? Thanks again.
Hey, Arthur. Thanks for the comment. I will be sure to give an update once they are worn a bit more. I will be sure to talk about the aesthetic differences, too. They don't really matter that much visually, but there are some advantages when it comes to support and comfort with some of the things I pointed out.

I'm glad to see folks are trying BLKBRD. I hope your orders exceed your expectations. Thanks for the comments & support!
@@bigbristv Their price points are amazing and you can upgrade the leather like I did so for $45 more I'm getting
a water resistant suede.
@superhuman67 I agree. I will keep my eyes open. Let me know how your pair turns out. 👍
