      Subway and bus fares are going up to $3 from $2.90 in August this year.They have already planned for the shortfall from congestion pricing due to less traffic,and the plan is to force as many people as possible to use the subway which is not safe for obvious reasons and commuter trains as congestion pricing fees increase in the future.
      Everyone is getting the shaft (pardon my expression) wherever one turns.

    • @Riks718
      @Riks718 День тому +9

      $6 and $9 5-7 days a week for a month become two completely different numbers when you are living on a budget. I spend about $1,000 a month on tolls just crossing bridges and tunnels and that’s working maybe 4 days a week. Now that $1,000 is going to become $200-$300 extra a month. The 59th street bridge just got a toll tagged on it because of this congestion pricing. No way to avoid it. Also, maybe people may not actually need to drive into the city but the convenience of having your own way of transportation and not having to rely on public transportation is a huge reason why many people drive in. I haven’t taken the subway or bus in 5 years because of safety. I’m 38 and I don’t even feel safe the 1 or 2 times I tried the subway and I got off the very next exit, and I grew up in the hood.
      Traffic was fine in the city until these lanes were reduced for bike lanes and these citibikes. Perfectly fine parking spaces have been eliminated. You can’t park in the street in midtown unless you are a commercial vehicle during certain hours. Two lanes turned to one lane. Three lanes turned to 2 lanes. Outdoor dining on the curbside eliminates parking spaces too. All of this creates heavier congestion. It can cause you to take 20 minutes to go from 5th ave to 6th ave easily (I know from experience). Congestion pricing could have been eliminated in many ways.

      All this did was just push the congestion into the bronxs and other neighborhoods, basically making the lower classes life harder.

    Going to be a bunch of situations
    happening on the subway and buses specially if it last for the summer, an overly packed trains and train stations is going to cause a bunch of problems, a lot of fights because of personal space or not having proper nyc/mta etiquettes(real native New Yorkers know the rules an how to move in this city). it’s gonna be nasty. All these nyc transplants an non New Yorkers that agreed to this will feel the effect or at least have front row seats to nyc fight time.

    Bruh. I love the idea but you gotta check your camera settings. Is this in 720P? Because it’s dark and blurry. Hard watch. Great idea though. I hope you can fix that! 🤷🏾‍♂️Take care

      Thank you. Make sure yours is playing in 1080p. Sometimes, when it's set to "Auto," it will drop the quality because of bandwidth. Plays great on my TV. Not so great on my sons, which IS a 4k TV, but cheaper.
