I will never forget being in my mid 20's, pretty burned out on heavier music, wanting something that was a blend of prog and metal that I had loved prior. Then I saw a random video with Misha playing guitar riffs and I was blown away by those demos he was making. I instantly began digging and finding Periphery and was hooked...it really did draw me back into the metal scene, thanks.
ive heard and loved so many bands .Now just turning 43 and being a lead guitar player for 25 years i can honestly say Periphery is the best band ihave ever heard .Keep up the great work guys.
Love how they are all just having a blast. Great to see bands that make heavy, interesting, and innovative music but don't take everything so seriously. Gotta enjoy yourself while you can! :D
Periphery by far are one of the pioneers of Progressive music. It's so easy to identify their sound, it is like no other. A through professional cohesive unit which kicks ass with each release! \m/ \m/
Periphery is in no way, shape, or form pioneers of progressive music. Progressive music has been around before the members were born, and that music had pioneers.
this legit almost made me cry. idk why, but it did. I guess I just know how much making this album, with how different it was and how scared you guys were of the reaction from the fans, I know you guys put everything into this album that YOU guys wanted to hear and seeing you guys playing it live and having so much fun and being loved for it, really says something. this is my favorite song from periphery, great job as always guys.
Orvius SoundLab Dude, I fucking love vids like this. One's like the vid in Scarlet are fun and appreciated. Sometimes necessary to make us laugh and provide comic relief, etc. But vids like this capture the raw emotion that drove me to be an artist and seek nourishment through other artists. I discovered Periphery because of this. And it makes me want to contribute even more. Keep it going gentlemen
A year after its release, I think this is still my favorite track from this album. I really connect with the music and lyrics, and Periphery as a band overall have helped me through some hard times. Thanks for what you guys do. Favorite band since P2.
Select Difficulty is the first Periphery album I've been able to listen to from beginning to end without skipping. Not because it's more melodic, but because it's so well written and without any filler or prog excess.
Sean Martin No shit?! I guess I missed the news on that one. Good for him for doing what he wants but I'm not gonna lie, that's disappointing knowing I'll never see him play live with them
Watch any song by Avenged Sevenfold Live at the LBC, Zacky Vengeance, the rhythm guitarist is wearing a white shirt and bowtie. That was over 10 years ago.
See that guitar strap that misha has? I own that now lol. I bought it from their merch stand when they were in my city! Signed and everything Sometimes it glows with arcane power...
Man, I feel so blessed that I got to be there. Most energetic gig I've been to. First time seeing Periphery. Matt's drum clinic was the strawberry on the cake. 💜
the black metal i listen to sound just like that ,so if you look for examples : illyria , Myrkur , Oathbreaker , And i also recommend to add Blackgaze to spice it up with astronoid , have fun ♥
These one shot videos are SO fucking cool
Eyy andrew
Andrew Baena I've been seeing you everywhere
Matt's smile at the end is so wholesome and makes me feel happy.
Wow ❤
This mans videography skills are god-tier. Bless him
Emmanuel Torres for reallll
periphery gives me life and makes me forget about all the negative shit in life. love these guys more than anything
🍻
Happy blasts make me feel good
Then have a blast good sir
I always do when Jake Bowen and his 7 strings of wonder are involved ;)
If you like happy blast beats check out the album Air by Astronoid
Just wanted to ask for some recommendations! :D Already know and diggin this one, any more ideas?

I love this band with passion. I wish I could make it to the tour with Periphery and Animals as Leaders
same, i was so fucking gutted when i realised i couldn't make it, that would have been my dream tour
Plus Car Bomb. What a fucking lineup...
I seen them with animals as leaders and Deftones during this album cycle. Amazing show. Mark is my spirit animal.

Nick Acker P A S T A M A N S I O N
Not to toot my own horn but that new page banner is lookin PRETTY nice
Nick Acker it's looking pretty nice, but where's da sauce???
Nice pun, intended or not!
This song makes me feel like crying, but it makes me happy at the same time. Periphery can really mess with your emotions.
Featuring Nolly "MacBook in the background" Getgood lol
Raijin Tsoutai did he left the band, sick... or something? I've seen a few fan videos around the last 2 months and he is not in the stage
technically, he still is in the band. But he doesn't wanna do live shows as he's focusing on producing music (in england, i believe).
I think Nolly was filming actually. Hence him not being in the video. So talented that he's directing now.
its JP Kaukonen, not Nolly
It's a joke. Nolly doesn't tour with them. They play a bass track from a macbook.

More like pioneers of modern / progressive djent but yeah, you're right - they are evolving and every next release is more and more exciting \m/
Periphery is in no way, shape, or form pioneers of progressive music. Progressive music has been around before the members were born, and that music had pioneers.
Just because they didnt get there first doesn't mean that they can't explore it further!
They definitely helped make modern prog metal more easily accessible.
Y'all Google everything right? Found out just by seeing the word "pioneers" and "djent"
this is already on track to grow on me, it's already happening. and it's happening FAST. oh my god it's so beautiful
yep, i cant stop listening now. 2:55 is one of the best riffs ive ever heard in my life
I wish all live music videos had this ones flow. So good
These lads are just incredible, one of the best prog metal bands, Spencer's voice is amazing, he's up there with Jesse Leach.
I keep coming back this song over the years. It’s the ultimate encouragement when life gets tough. (And let’s be real, life is tough in general.)
🍻bro, keep on, keeping on🫡

Haters gonna hate,

+Cody Price It's a common yt comment meme.

PeRIFF

2:35 "At the bottom" *points camera at bottom*
Bottom BUTT I'm...
@@MrYourpersonalarmy _points camera at butt_
What a great shoot and original concept... best live video I've ever watched. Big fan
He's done other live videos like this. He did one for Veil of Maya when they played Nyu and Leeloo
and psychosphere

Halo mas Febri Orvius
Gak kebayang pegelnya si director gotong kamera red 1 shot selama 1 lagu. Ini pundaknya yg sabar mas JP~
That smile by Misha is my spirit animal. 😁 They look like they are having so much fun!
Never seen a one-shot live footage of this insane quality. The person who's done it is a f$%^ing hero.
This song is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life.
All live concerts should be filmed like this!
One of the best music videos of all times imo.. so much energy.
The quality of this video is so high. So simple yet absolutely getting the point of it across
1:13 - 1:32 is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
periphery is the best internet thing !!
the references to this in thanks nobuo made me so fucking happy i cried.
Amazing video and song. It's rare you find a music video showcasing ALL the members equally, well done! Seriously...
Periphery is a perfect example of progressive/djent metal that can be inspiring and upbeat as well as hard-hitting. PERIPHERY FOREVER! \m/
With emo vocals
@@SkvvintZ lmao you know nothing
Periphery is yes! Quality unmatched at the moment.
Miss Nolly :( Great clip anyways!!! Thank you Periphery, Sumerian Records and JP Kaukonen!
i think this vid made me need Periphery to come to my town even more than I already did
I love this fucking band
Quite possibly the friendliest blast beats I have ever heard.
so much talent. Periphery is uncomparable.
One of the best songs of all time!
oh shit!!!
Other genres should be jealous they don't have JP to record these insane live videos.
The Djenty riffs over Holcomb's weirdly melodious tunes is a divine combination.
These are my favorite types of music videos. :)
I love everything about this
A year after its release, I think this is still my favorite track from this album. I really connect with the music and lyrics, and Periphery as a band overall have helped me through some hard times. Thanks for what you guys do. Favorite band since P2.

world's happiest blast beats
man, is this great.
I have so much love for this group... every single one of them are too talented. just amazing
Donde esta Nolly?!
Also this one take camera work is SO AWESOME
psychosphere is awesome one take too
Nolly doesn't play live with Periphery anymore, he's too busy producing.
Sean Martin No shit?! I guess I missed the news on that one. Good for him for doing what he wants but I'm not gonna lie, that's disappointing knowing I'll never see him play live with them
Didn't he said that he was just taking a break from this particular tour? Not 100% quitting periphery?
Yeah, he stopped touring with them for -I think- more than a year now. Still a member, tho'.
I've never thought i would see someone in a white shirt and a bow tie, at a metal live show...
jet black are you kidding!!! That’s metal as fuck and I love it
Watch any song by Avenged Sevenfold Live at the LBC, Zacky Vengeance, the rhythm guitarist is wearing a white shirt and bowtie. That was over 10 years ago.

Every member is so talented, Spencer always killing it with those vocals!

I am fucking old - but this band is fucking great. Love you PERIPHERY!
WOW periphery sounds so good live! It sounds just like the studio version. such impressed
Haha just for the sake of clarity, this is the studio version with live footage overlaid.
@@MishaMansoor
Misha got Woooshed
This is good sober and high, on multiple drugs. Thanks periphery!
That slow-mo Matt ending, love it.
