I'm always surprised by how much lore is crammed into the corners. I thought the Kinscourge and Witch Queen would take up pretty much all of the available lore, but there's a lot more, especially if you link it back to the source material
Spent the last month creating a Narnia story. It seems when sorcery plunged into the Exiled Lands so to did the Lands of Narnia.... Fun stuff creating lore and stories
I have seen so much debate and argument about the Khari and Lemurians... Mostly Howard Purists taking a dump on game lore, but I always considered it as it's own universe based off the books personally. What you put down here was more or less my understanding of the Khari as well, but trying to find any info online usually leads down a rabbit hole that often only confuses things further. Very nice vid, love your content.
Glad you enjoyed! The lore of the game seems to slightly contradict book lore in certain areas, probably due to the fact The Exiled Lands don't exist in the wider universe. It doesn't bother me too much to overlook some of the smaller inconsistencies though
Yeah the only other Conan Exiles lore videos I could find before I started were a couple of years old. That being said, Grim Dark (Half Off) does some great lore of the Conan universe that helps with understanding the events and world of the game
Ruined city beneath tavern is truly awe-inspiring to explore (in fact, if Funcom decides to add another map to Conan Exiles, giant underground cavern/ruin system/complex wouldn't be bad idea) and the story of Khari is both tragic and impressive. I mean, they were ruthless slavers and opressors, but even with that, I do feel a shred of pity for their fate as Thag's eternal slaves. At least those ruins they are doomed to wander through eternally are truly impresive sight.
Very well done Erad. What you do is not as easy as you make it sound, but you do it very well & I, for one, enjoy these psuedo-historical, documentary style videos you have been bringing us based upon the lore of the game & its peoples. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the video. Only yesterday, when I happened to pass by an inn in Sepermeru, I discovered the entrance to a cellar. I avoid spoilers about the game's story, so I had no idea that there was such a vast dungeon beneath Sepermeru. great story. I recommend standing in silence for a while by the well in this gloomy place, your imagination runs at full speed there :D
Great video. Fantastic info and a wonderful presentation. I would love to know what sort of story line there is to the new Age of Sorcery. I have seen hints of some great sorcerer who has brought about this age, but have found nothing in game so far to tell the story.
Glad you enjoyed! There is indeed some story line with the Age of Sorcery update, though I believe the story line won't come full circle until the end of the Age of Sorcery. I do already have some in-game resources to plot out that story, though nothing solid enough for a video yet
While I won't fault you for the mistakes you've made in regards to this topic, as it stems from Conan Exiles lore only, it must be stated that the lore in Conan Exiles is heavily botched and poorly written as it heavily conflicts with the actual lore quite badly, including a lot of the parts in this video. The Khari(also formerly known as the Naacal) dwelt within the far eastern coast of the Thurian Continent before it's eventual end where they previously traded from time to time with the Lemurians off said eastern coast, after The Great Cataclysm sunk the Isles of Lemuria, the Lemurians washed up on the shores of the Khari Empire weak and vulnerable and thus were brutally enslaved by the Khari, which also led to the Lemurians devolving into primitive apemen due to the Khari's brutality. After a minor Cataclysm and the Thurian Continent reformed into the Hyborian Continent, there would come a time where the devolved Lemurians would rise up against their former masters and drive them from the lands that would later become Khitai, to which the Khari would travel westward enslaving primitive tribes and peoples until they later learned of the Giant Kings that ruled over proto-Stygia, and would eventually go to war with them over the lands that would become Stygia. Due to the Giant Kings' rule being unchallenged for so long their people had grown careless and decadent in face of the sorcerous power and might of the Khari that would result in the Khari winning the war and also resulting in the Giant Kings being exterminated or forced into allying themselves with the Khari, in time the Khari grew respect and admiration for the Giant Kings and their god Set(thus became his main followers after the Giant Kings) and eventually both cultures would mix together and eventually form Stygia as the Khari name fell into ancient history with their descendants taking up the name of Stygians.
In a nutshell, yeah. History is often very cyclical so it's not surprising. The Lemurians did the same after defeating the Giant Kings, but rather than Stygians, they became Hyrkanians and Turanians
I vaguely recall being in a place like this but...I can't remember where. It's...accessed from the basement of the tavern in the Relic Hunter town, right?
I haven't really found any in-game lore about them myself, but I do have them listed as a culture to look into to see if anything exists that I haven't found yet

How do we harvest Khari Steel bars in Siptah?
The more I learn about the exiled lands the more I fall in love with the lore. So far my absolutely favorite group has to be the Lemurians.
I'm always surprised by how much lore is crammed into the corners. I thought the Kinscourge and Witch Queen would take up pretty much all of the available lore, but there's a lot more, especially if you link it back to the source material

Really professional and informative video. Quite honestly the best Conan exiles lore master and story teller on UA-cam.

I always thought khari and serpentmen were interchangeable but it makes more sense that it isn’t otherwise the armor they have shouldn’t fit us
Love the Conan lore there's not enough of it out there please keep it up

@@Eradicati0nn I haven't seen those I'll have to check that out. Thank you

OMG! You made a movie!!!
Nice video and a nice story, a lot of work put into the illustration, well done!
Thanks Kuki, glad you enjoyed!

The khari Empire sounds the incident topic.
magnificent, love the lore videos as much as Your building videos!
Thanks Pupper, glad you enjoyed it!

great storytelling
Great job! I like it very much 👍👍
And they have sexy looking armor and one of my favorite bows.
That bow is now the 2nd best bow in the game and the best craftable. Only Red Mother is better, and that's a very rare drop
@@Bubbles99718 Void Forge Bow is even better than Red Mother. But it is only on Siptah.
You should do a collaboration with grim dark 50% you two would be the kings of Conan lore
I have actually watched some of his stuff as research for other videos, and he does indeed comment on these videos sometimes. I'd definitely be down
@@Eradicati0nn it would be legendary
Basically Lemurian slaves that fought their slave masters became Stygians? interesting how history repeat itself again.
In a nutshell, yeah. History is often very cyclical so it's not surprising. The Lemurians did the same after defeating the Giant Kings, but rather than Stygians, they became Hyrkanians and Turanians

Do Vendhyan have lore? I'd love to see something about them.
I haven't really found any in-game lore about them myself, but I do have them listed as a culture to look into to see if anything exists that I haven't found yet
I always wondered about the Khari, thank you so much for this video by the way what mod do you use to get the ship?
Glad you enjoyed it! I think it was Shadows of Skelos, either Version 1 or Version 2.
Thanks mate keep up the great work
nice!
The 2 light armors hold up great in 3.0 and I play on Barbaric
again try to find source of conan exile lands and you MASTER make your good stories, thanks a lot
This is better than Grimdark Half-off. That guy let's Nazis run rampant in his discord channel
Howard and Lovecraft didn’t like lesser races either. So maybe my little pony is more fore you
This series is cool. Can you do one on the Gurnakhi?
