any other brand when you guys do the speed test you drop the poundage to 70 but with the Alpha being at 73.5 pounds you didnt drop the poundage. Seems a bit unfair that you dial every other brand down to 70 pounds but when it comes to hoyt you didnt even think about dialing the bow down to 70 pounds. hoyt fanboys???
Bro, we can never do it right for everybody. Guys get mad about the poundage, shooting it through a whisker biscuit, not shooting the right way arrow, not shooting a specific draw length. We do the best we can head over to our Instagram and I’ll put a video up specifically for you with the bow at 70 pounds. What draw length do you want to see and what arrow weight??
@@extremeoutfitters not getting mad i actually like the way you guys keep the field even by keeping the poundage at 70 pounds all around for every brand not seeing that done on this brand was unfortunate. Apart from that good review as always. I understand you cant please everyone in all aspects but i come to watch your guys reviews due to the equality you do with the poundage on all brands. You guys must of forgot this time no stress. keep up the good work and awesome reviews.
@@D1-TriGGa I will be honest I completely overlooked it. But it’s a fair point. Let me know what draw length you are interested in and I will put a 350, 440, 530 grain arrow through them both today. As always thanks for checking us out and the feed back. I will do my best to keep things consistent across our future videos man.
@@extremeoutfitters draw length 30. As i said tho keep up the good work i actually enjoy your guys reviews and style of review. And thanks for the replies too man appreciate it most people wont even take the time to respond with an answer but you did awesome work man.
I was down at your store in Jacksonville yesterday (15 Jan) to look at some bow options. After shooting the Matthews Lift and a nice Bow Tech I choose the Alpha X 30. My shooting skills apparently were a bit rusty and I didn't get a good paper tune in the store. I told the guy helping me that I would bring it home, get some more shooting practice in and decide if I need to go back and have additional fine tuning done. Awesome staff!
Just subbed on your channel, your bros are solid. Thank you for honest reviews and supporting Archery as you do. Would love to come visit you gents and see your shop!
Based on the reviews you guys have done and my ideal bow, I'm at a toss up between the alpha x 30 and pse evolve 30 ds... both are such similar specs and even speeds. I know guys have shot and tested both, which would you say is the better pick in your opinion? In terms of shot feel and draw specifically.
Hey when I'm looking for new bow I bring my stabs with me to level it out, an I like to try them 15 to 20 yards. Ever consider doing test like that? I can get a good feel of how they hold doing this.
So , sweet looking bow . I can’t say enough about i love the fact they went with 1/4” adjustments!!!! That being said, its 10fps SLOWER than the vtm. That sucks . But I still love it
I would gladly give up 3-5 fps for Hoyt’s super smooth draw cycle. Not sure I want to give up 10fps but at my age the draw cycle is super important to me.
I was thinking the same thing. Especially for a bow that is supposedly 344 IBO. My older Hoyts at 70 lbs draw weight and 29" draw length I was able to shoot about 10 more fps with my 463 grain arrows.
DAMMIT! My PSE omen got stolen at the beginning of the year. Didn't like the draw cycle on the lift. Completely over looked hoyts new bows and went with the PSE unite. Now realizing hoyt finally dropped a short draw cam, I am recognizing my mistake. Strictly based on warranty. I think hoyts are the ugliest thing ever and my PSEs shoot great
I shoot a Mathew’s, but I don’t the the mods help with that really. I definitely feel a better draw cycle for the speed. My draw is usually at the higher side of cam 2 for Hoyt, and the closer you get to the max draw on the cam it feels rough, I avoid that with the V3X.
Why do u guys talk to damn much, we want to see results in the action of the bow...you guys sound like the fuckin view..more action less female conversation please

Wish i had a shop like yours around here!
Awesome! I’m torn between the Hoyt and the Mathew’s. Nice vids love them.
Hello guys I enjoy all your videos. I'm looking to buy a new bow. I'm looking at the Hoyt Alpha X 30 or the Bowtech core ss. I'm at a 28 draw
I'm asking your options on these Hoyt Alpha X 30 or the Bowtech core ss for speeds and performance between them
Based on the reviews you guys have done and my ideal bow, I'm at a toss up between the alpha x 30 and pse evolve 30 ds... both are such similar specs and even speeds. That new riser is nice
It’s clean looking
Super nice bow. Now To decide. Should I get the vtm 34 from last year at a discount or go for this new 33? Hmmm
Any idea on how these would perform at 31" draw? Usually I've gone to Matthews for my longer draw but that AX33 looks sick.
My 33 does 312 fps at 30” 75% let off and 72.5 lbs
Grain weight on the arrow ?

So what’s a good bow with a draw length of around 27.5”?
How far should you be from your chrono? I stand right up on mine lol get that extra speed lol
Sweet bows! The names lack imagination thought 😂
When do Mathew’s drop there new hunting bow?

The 1/4 ate your 10 fps up
@@Life-of-Bluegrass_Music what do you mean

Can u change draw weight
Is it just me or do these bows seem slow?

Yes that's a little slow. For that ibo, it should be shooting at least in the 290s at a 400 grain arrow
Think the Chrono is off. Seems really slow

Buy a Mathews with endividual mods. You'll get a more efficient bow and faster speeds.
Im not sure about speed. I think the hoyt is faster. I had a v3x29 and a vtm31 at same time. The vtm was much faster. The v3x softer to shoot
@@Angel.Custodio think about it… when you get to the high side of your mod its rougher/faster…… mathews just made it so you’re already there
@tonyviers-de9qi you're making sense, but for me it's the draw cycle.
Why do u guys talk to damn much, we want to see results in the action of the bow...you guys sound like the fuckin view..more action less female conversation please
How does it compare to the VTM 30 and 34, will there be an 80lb version of these two that you’ll test?
