The mod system on the Mathew’s keeping as efficient as possible at lower draw lengths is the selling point for me. Will be receiving my fade to black granite in a few weeks ✌🏻
Congrats on the new bow.
The let down is the most important point for me,draw cycle, both excellent
#HOYT FTW!!🎯🏁
To get rid of those hiccups you need a good scare.... Have a look at those bow price tags.
😂
😂
You ain’t kidding.
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial I'm in Australia and have to add 50% to that price due to government tax, poor exchange rate etc. You've got to pay if you want to play but if you buy right the first time you only cry once.
@@dustyfarmer wow, I’ve heard from several people, how expensive archery equipment is in Australia. Thanks for watching.
The Mathews at my local dealer was actually 50 bucks more than the Hoyt. Was surprised to see it, I wonder if it’s because the Hoyts haven’t sold as well
Getting my custom 29.5 lift mid June! Shot a Robin Hood while testing out the bow so I was kind of forced to buy it😂😂😂 I have a 27” draw so the short axle fit me perfectly
That’s cool I went and bought a Phase 4 because I didn’t want to wait but I’m super satisfied and I was just trying to sight it in playing around with it and Robin Hooded one at 30 yards I wasn’t trying to but first time I ever did that I haven’t been able to shoot at all for about 5 years
Guess imma order one. I have a 27.5 Draw
Congrats on the new bow, it sucks that they are taking so long to come in.
@@user-ct4im4nd6r congrats on your new bow.
Bow tech told me the same when I was testing these 2 out, for me it was the Alpha x 33 that I nearly Robin hooded with no optic. It went home with me. 😂
I just shot both at my shop and to be honest they are both phenomenal bows but I went with the Hoyt 33 axle to axle in the bourbon color. The draw cycle is great from start to finish and set at 70# it feels more like 60#. New bow and it’s pouring down rain 😂😂 go figure.
Haha that’s how it goes.
Just curious on the limb issue that lots of people (not everyone that owns the lift just want to be clear on that) are having would you still choose the mathews over the hoyt? Ive never owned a hoyt but hearing lots of great things about the alpha x and thinking about getting one. I am still shooting a mathews no cam htx.
Both are amazing bows, and will feel like quite an upgrade to your current setup. The no cam was a great bow, but no comparison to either of the bows in this video. With that said, I would still pick the Lift. I have shot the lift since April and have not had any issues. The one thing I will is, is that the bows that have had issues, seem to be in the longer draw lengths with 70 + lbs. I am shooting 27” draw with 76# and have not had any issues. My lift has been the best bow I’ve owned.
Mathews also offers the new shot sense and the silent connect system. Ive shot Hoyt for the last 13 years but will be carrying a new lift 29 this fall.
My favorite Mathews in a long time.
I just shot both bows at my local bow shop and the Hoyt is smoother and has less hand shock. I was surprised. I expected the complete opposite.
That’s why I always say that people should shoot each bow for themselves.
Enlighten me on how a tiny millisecond hand shock effects you're shot at all? Lol
Did you happen to check on draw board. I had a lift with 29” mod pulled 29 5/8. Although the 30” mod was close. So possibly the 27 is long.
I did, this years Mathews seem to drawing pretty spot on so far for us.
Very thorough reviews
thank you
I went to my local pro shop and shot the lift 29.5 and the alpha x 30 at 70lb 28” draw. I wanted to think the lift was going to blow me away from what people said however, the lift had a mean hump right before the back wall where the alpha x was smooth all the way back. Honestly you can’t go wrong with either. Maybe next year they’ll wow me into going from my RX7 ultra.
It definitely comes down to personal preference between these 2. The Hoyt is stiffer at the begging of the cycle and the Mathews is stiffer at the end of the cycle. Both feel very smooth to me at my draw length, but may feel very different to someone with a longer draw length. Thank you for watching the channel, and for the feedback.
I completely agree. I just had the same experience shooting both bows.
One thing you might want to discuss is the draw force curve. I was a Hoyt shooter for almost 20 years. But as I got older I had to drop down in draw weight. After setting up my Son's Mathews V3 31, I called up my buddy at my local archery pro shop and ordered one. I feel the Hoyt loads up early in the draw cycle and the Mathews loads up later in the draw cycle. It might not make much difference to some, but the Mathews was much easier on my shoulders. I do now have a Lift 29.5 and I'm really happy with the arrow speeds I'm getting, especially since I'm shooting 60lbs with a 27" draw length. Love the reviews, keep them coming!
I just ordered a 29.5 lift with 27.5 dl. What arrow weight and fps are you getting
Thanks for the feedback. The lift has an awesome draw cycle for sure.
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching.
Cool video.
Did Mathews run out of paint?
Shot both bows ultimately I had to go with the Hoyt rx8
That's a sweet bow, can't go wrong by choosing the bow that fits you best.
You all worriwd about hand shock and vibration just because someone started saying it lol. Literally it dont matter at all its after the shot it has 0 effect on the damn shot itself. You all think way to much into it anymore. Omg i dont want it cuz it has a tiny millisecond vibration after the shot😂😂😂
@@stephensheldon8396 I don’t think anyone is really worried about hand shock and vibration. It is just another variable that can be used to compare bows. Also generally speaking, the vibration goes hand in hand with how quiet a bow is.
Got the price wrong😂
Which price is wrong?
Pretty biased towards the hoyt
Are you saying that I'm biased toward Hoyt, or you prefer Hoyt?
They both suck...and are overpriced
What bow would you take over either of these?
