- This is my 2003 Mitsubishi L200 project. It’s a K74 with a 2.5TDi engine, manual gearbox with locking rear diff. I bought this vehicle as a non runner and will be getting it back into working order. Join me for the revival

The minute I saw the radiator acting like a volcanic eruption on a cold crank it could only be the infamous head gasket / cracked head. 😢
Yeah that's what the final nail in the coffin for me was!
Beware of buying a used L200 with a body lift as these body lifts can put the radiator and fan out of alignment . When the radiator which is attached to the body is raised this then makes it become offset from the radiator fan which is still attached to the engine on the chassis . To overcome this some people remove the bottom half of the radiator cowling to avoid it striking the fan thus letting some air escape around the radiator instead of blowing through to cool the engine. Consequently the engine can overheat leading to head gasket failure etc.
❤ thanks bro
I wonder if I also looked at this one! been looking for one since sept lol
I think this one was up for a few weeks so quite possibly!
@@ToolTimeWithTom I eventually just bought one that was running but I will keep an eye out for your vids
Кстати, вопрос, пожалуйста! Привод одометра, ну тот,что указывает пройденный километрах, кстати Ваша панель приборов соответствует моей, Вы продадите?
Is the remote and alarm working on your truck? Can you post a vid about it? The alarm on ours does not work but the remote does. Ive checked the lines and its fine
Remote and alarm works on mine but had to resync the key fob to the alarm to get remote locking to work. Which alarm is fitted to yours? The UK dealer spec ones are Cobra branded.
@@ToolTimeWithTom The remote locking works but the alarm isn't. There's no sound coming out of it. I do not know what is fitted in it, I live in the Philippines. How can I check it? Like, where do I look?
Hopefully the key fob will tell you the manufacturer of the system at least, if not try to find the siren usual in the engine bay, this will have the make and model hopefully. If it doesn't you'll have to start digging under the dash to find the control module. Aftermarket alarms can be very awkward and unreliable depending on which model and who fitted it.
Моя Элька за 9 лет со мной никаких проблем не давала кроме свечей и ремней ГРМ, которые сейчас буду менять
I have one of these beside my house with a volcanic radiator. Is there any other engine options for this vehicle or should i just fix the engine in it? It runs sweet other than the heating issue
I've seen people do BMW diesel swaps into these, seems to be semi common, the parts are so cheap for the 4D56 though, I've got a video on all the costs required to fix this one so welcome to have a look at that one and review your options! If you can tolerate the asthmatic power output I'd just fix the engine that's in it.
@@ToolTimeWithTom for sure, I don't need mega power. It's just for out and about. Thanks for replying. Love your videos.
