Since it launched, I've been a big fan of the Ferrari Roma, especially when I first got an opportunity to get behind the wheel. However, now driving it on the Autobahn and getting more of a sense of what it can offer, it's really very impressive! What do you think, is it a car that would work well in the Shmeemobiles?
Shmee, buy the 812 GTS, you were so happy driving that car, it was beyond obvious how excited you were. I haven't seen a car make you that happy on a long time!!
I doubt his wallet's gonna be that happy about it though. And with the *new* SF 90.... 812 is old after all. SF 90 is the new kid. It's just that I too prefer the old-guard, but it wouldn't make such good videos, because everyone has done it
Yes! This! If he is going to get yet another supercar, I suggest a V12 - as he said, he has enough V8s already. And the Lamborghini is V10, so there is room for a V12 812! Especially in yellow!

Or maybe for the people that is still learning to drive sport cars? Or both? That's why in addition to the carbon fibre, it doesn't really matter to them. They could add it if they wanted too. For me the Roma isn't about spec, or being a "Ferrari" its purely about the design. It's elegant whilst being beautifully aggressive. It's a car you'd want to drive just because of what it is, not what it can do. Truly a gorgeous car.
To me, it's the only truly beautiful modern Ferrari. And no, it's not an Aston with a prancing horse on its badge. It does look very, very much like a Ferrari. Like a Daytona or a 250 Lusso.
I’ve never wanted a Ferrari as much as this one. A beautiful throwback to the best classic Ferrari designs with modern tech. Surely it doesn’t get better than that!!
I don't see the point in buying one when you already have several AMG GT models, the SLS Black Series, and you're going to use the SF90 Stradale as a "daily". Plus you seem to be planning to add a V12 Ferrari back to the garage. As lovely as the Roma is, I don't think it has any place in the shmeemobiles.

Having driven the Roma and enjoyed its beauty along the way, I can easily say it's one of my favorite Ferraris of the past 20 years. It truly is a stunning car, even more so in person, and feels every bit the supercar while driving. An extremely well thought out package.
Tim runs a large business with multiple revenue streams not only UA-cam and sponsorships but consulting and a host of other things like merchandise etc. He uses his cars both for a collection but clearly rotates cars in and out for content… his work ethic is epic and his kindness to other creators and to the public is something that rarely gets mentioned I’ve followed him for 7 years and he has personally answered questions on my own collection… I am grateful for his dedication to our enjoyment… I hope he makes a fortune!
Make no mistake, a V12 Ferrari is heavenly. I wouldn't be sad if someone gave me the keys to the Roma though. The way it kept pulling past 180mph with ease suggests to me that it can do more than the claimed 199mph top speed. Very impressive car
The aroma is definitely the “Take her out to dinner” car. Your Aston is probably the only other car in your collection from this category. I don’t like the all black interior, unless it’s tan. It’s unbelievable how easy that it went to 300.
Please no don't use the take her out to dinner car analogy. We should focus more on enjoying life and honouring God than just focusing on the opposite gender all the time. There is more to life than procreation rituals.

You need to get the 812C. Its a track version of a road car that has a V12. Ticks all 3 boxes for you. And makes an awesome addition to the collection in Ferrari Yellow with the Italian flag striped across
I think the Roma is a Ferrari to own until it's dead. Great car. At the same time, I bet it's going to age super well (so there'd be value in babying it). Especially because Ferrari's been so edgy recently, I think the Roma will standout in the lineup.
I own 2 FERRARI"S ,I think they are Beautiful cars ,I find driving then nerve racking unless you are on the expressway with little traffic .That is when they area joy . I also bought a 2019 Corvette Stingray I found the Corvette is a JOY to DRIVE any time any where ,my Wife feels the same way and she is ITALIAN

A great review Tim. I was in Padua two weeks ago and when I walked back to my crappy rental car in the underground car park, there was a blue Roma parked next to me. It was filthy dirty and I would happily have licked it clean 😂. It was absolutely bloody gorgeous!

Seems to me that since you have the SF90, that's a repeat of sorts. But another Ferrari is always good in your collection. I mean, my favorites are the 458 Speciale and the F12 TDF! I realize I'm just starting the video so you probably touch on a lot...I mean you can never have enough Ferraris...LOL I do SO miss driving the Autobahn when I lived in Germany in the 80 and 90s! Fastest I've ever been in a car....911!
I work in the tech sector. I have no idea why, given the current state of CPU technology at dirt-cheap prices, how a company like Ferrari can't remove lag from their displays, especially given how much they are charging for these cars. I don't think a Ferrari buyer would be against paying another few hundreds for a faster processor when they are willing to pay thousands on a carbon fibre filler cap. Makes no sense how a smart phone can outperform a simple graphic display. Ridiculous.
The Roma is a truly beautiful car. But to be honest, it doesn't really fit in the garage like you said. I think the better option would be to go for the 812 GTS once you're ready to let go of the AMG GT Roadster, a V12 convertible would be amazing while the AMG GT BS would provide you the experience you love from the AMG V8 power plants.
knowing how much you like the 812 should get it first, then after if you still want a Roma, just depends on how far you want to go into Ferrari collection you deem fit
A casual 187 mph is quite impressive. Love your comment, it's an entry level Ferrari but definitely not an entry level supercar. Personally hate the nose/front of the car but the V8 is absolutely perfect. Oh, BTW...I think you should buy a F12 TDF if you can find one. I prefer it over any 812 except for the Novitec. Here in Perth, Western Australia.. If your coming up quicker in the right hand lane, They will go from the left lane to the right lane so you need to slow down. Damn wish Perth drivers would do the same as what happens on Germany's Autobahns
What I like about this is that even the interior etc looks more than just "entry level", definitely worth the money. But if you DID get one, would it be crazy colour combos or keep it simple like the gtc4 and FF etc with TDF blue and silver wheels or something classy?
If you get a front engined Ferrari it should be a V12. You have so many front engined V8's in the garage right now. an 812 GTS would go nice along the SF90.
Something about ferrari is dull to me these days. I haven't been excited about a ferrari in probably a decade. The last I truly got excited for was the 599 GTO from memory. I drove a 458 and it just did things too good, I got in the gallardo superleggera and it was an experience with that v10, heavy steering and just overall more driver mechanical feel. The 458 looks so good but I couldn't find that ferrari soul I hoped it would have. Wish I could get a shot in a mclaren they're my f1 team and I've always loved the styling they create and hope I'll have a chance some day especially a 675lt
That sensor placement on the front is just shocking, every time I see one of these I think the same thing. Surely they could have integrated it in a more subtle way?!
Really nice colour, maybe without logos on sides is even better. This and the Vantage are the best GT on my opinion. And this a better interior and engine. Good work Shmee
The Roma is a smart looking car. But the MC20 & those cool butterfly doors. V6's can be intriguing as well. 296GTB & MC20 are both sweet 2 seaters. But my future dream car is the Valhalla.

More of a Ferrari mid engine fan myself unless it’s for a V12 of course and you have the V8 AMGs already so not surprised even though you enjoyed the Roma it’s not something you are going to add to the collection. Fantastic channel that just carries on from what you are watching here and if we can get Tim up to 4 million plus subs he might then be able to buy that F50 or CarreraGT for the collection!!!
I almost view the Roma as a baby 812. It seems to do everything the 812 does just without the gorgeous NA v12. As a grand tourer, the Roma has got to be one of the best cars for the purpose.

The Roma looks like it should be a concept come to life, like the LC500. It's as much an art installation, as it is machine masterpiece.

It’s a take on the old 550 Maranello that happens to be one of my favourite Ferrari’s.
The rev counter on the top of the steering wheel is cool. It's gorgeous, but I'd hold out for the Daytona SP3.
No one without very very deep pockets will ever get to drive am SP3 let alone own one.

SF90 is a standard production car. Literally anybody can buy it if they have the money. Why do kids keep thinking it's the new Laferrari?

What I like about this is that even the interior etc looks more than just "entry level", definitely worth the money. But if you DID get one, would it be crazy colour combos or keep it simple like the gtc4 and FF etc with TDF blue and silver wheels or something classy?
If you get a front engined Ferrari it should be a V12. You have so many front engined V8's in the garage right now. an 812 GTS would go nice along the SF90.
You should get the 812 because I have seen you much happier in the 812 then in the roma . So please get the 812

Something about ferrari is dull to me these days. I haven't been excited about a ferrari in probably a decade. The last I truly got excited for was the 599 GTO from memory. I drove a 458 and it just did things too good, I got in the gallardo superleggera and it was an experience with that v10, heavy steering and just overall more driver mechanical feel. The 458 looks so good but I couldn't find that ferrari soul I hoped it would have. Wish I could get a shot in a mclaren they're my f1 team and I've always loved the styling they create and hope I'll have a chance some day especially a 675lt
The roma one beautiful looking car. But I'ld recommend you buy either this one or the 812 superfast
That sensor placement on the front is just shocking, every time I see one of these I think the same thing. Surely they could have integrated it in a more subtle way?!
812 superfast please. Front engined v12, rear wheel drive. make it better and get the n-largo 812 gts you loved SO MUCH
Really nice colour, maybe without logos on sides is even better. This and the Vantage are the best GT on my opinion. And this a better interior and engine. Good work Shmee
Compared to the 812, I feel this car is a little lacking. It doesn't bring me that much excitement.

The Roma is a smart looking car. But the MC20 & those cool butterfly doors. V6's can be intriguing as well. 296GTB & MC20 are both sweet 2 seaters. But my future dream car is the Valhalla.

As presented here by you it really is a very nice car which I would like, although entry level, very much to drive the amalfi coast for example... thank you Tim for this presentation of another very likable car with all you really need...
More of a Ferrari mid engine fan myself unless it’s for a V12 of course and you have the V8 AMGs already so not surprised even though you enjoyed the Roma it’s not something you are going to add to the collection.

I almost view the Roma as a baby 812. It seems to do everything the 812 does just without the gorgeous NA v12. As a grand tourer, the Roma has got to be one of the best cars for the purpose.
It's a much, much softer car at the end of the day
