I want a new album!
I CANT believe I missed them in NJ/PA… I’m seriously devestated. Is there an app or anything that tracks tours of the bands you enter? Im SO FRIGGIN mad hahah, ugh god
I love that Tool is out there for all of us into esotericism. No one else has such greatness in their music that not only sounds great but leaves little messages and insights for you to discover by digging deeper. Saw them live in Jan. and they played Opiate by far the best experience I have had in a while. Fear Inoculum was amazing as well.
Preordered….fuck yeah… thanks!
Heck YES!! 💪🏻
Opiate=O
Squared…well=squared
Circle and square references again eh tool?
O2=oxygen=air?
I grew up with Pink Floyd, Tool to me is Pink Floyd on steroids! Or the metal version of Pink Floyd, i love Floyd but Tool has become my favorite band of my life!!!! i wish they had been around in my acid /mushroom days, the trips i could;ve had!!!!
Hell yeah!! Both bands are timeless.. At 14, I saw Pink Floyd at camp Randall for the division bell tour (Least fave album, btw) that concert changed my life! It was raining, just idk perfect. This was after getting into Tool, and some of my friends didn’t understand how I could like the two bands.. I asked how they were different, as the compositions of both were stellar, and the feeling they elicited were damned similar. Idk I thought I was the only one! Lol the trips to Tool.. umm yeah it’s outerworldly… like tripping too dark side of the moon.. on steroids haha. Mostly to the older stuff though. Can’t find good shit anymore, more of the stuff you were told not to take.
Great informative video!!
This is great
It is both obvious but also weirdly satisfying to know I know I have no friends left. Not only did no one let me know genesis were touring for probably the last time ever a little while back, no one has been in touch about the Tool show coming up, which I only found out about by accident, and is so close to my birthday I figured I'd get me and my friend a ticket, then remembered I don't have any friends, so spent all the money on a solitary ticket just for me, right at the front, right in the middle. I promise I am on my best behaviour.
(I am not some needy bitch, I just did what everyone in the world should do and deleted any and all social media.)
@@issaccartwright736 yep. I did that in 2016.. and find out real quick who were my friends… not a damned one of ‘em! Last time I saw Tool, it was by myself. Why? None of my friends were into them.. I went clubbing in Charlotte the night before with one of my old roommates (one of my fave Chicago house djs was in town, had to go) woke up and drive to Raleigh 5 ish hours.. to see my fave band all by myself. And man, I had a blast!!! Had lawn seats, but got up into the seated section.. met some awesome people, sang every song, danced my ass off. I think I slept the next two days afterwards.. haha it was an exorcism.
When you say 7 albums, which ones do you count? I only count six:
Opiate (kind of more like an EP if you ask me)
Undertow
Aenima
Lateralus
10,000 Days
Fear Inoculum
There’s 8 actually
Demo Tape
Opiate
Undertow
Ænima
Salival
Lateralus
10,000 Days
Fear Inoculum
WouW that's 😎... fits... 🕶🎯
I witnessed Tool live at the defunct Coliseum in CT at their Lateralus tour. mind fuct. what a complete sonic frenzy. lots of hot girls and hardcore music. man those were the daze. Thanks Maynard for all the songs released as well as the ones still in purgatory. Tool forever.
Was it the 2002 inside the outside tour? My parents went to that one. They gave me their shirt from that tour! I live in CT and I think I remember them saying the arena they saw them at is gone now
