Love the collection, and i can tell you have respect and care for this things, but man, i shake every time i see you handling each product, am i the only one thinking he treats it rough, like, fast and agressive movements?
Yes way too much the dude was talking about how he’s anal about keeping his stuff in good condition while at bending the rare opiate box and I was dying
As much as I appreciate the effort and intricate packaging that goes into Tool releases, I also wish they would release REGULAR vinyl and CD editions along with the fancy "limited" ones. I believe Tool could be doing so much more with their catalogue, like releasing live sessions, special editions, live albums, B sides, but instead they just focus on mediocre merch like blankets and shot glasses. For a band of their caliber, it seems absurd
I miss those long boxes the CDs used to come in. Many for a lot of artists didn't even have a cutout for the CD inside so you didn't see it. So growing up the long boxes were a great way to get a mini sized poster that often was exactly the size that would fit in a school locker. I remember when they started complaining about them wasting too much paper due to enviromental concerns but the truth is a lot of us used them as posters and therefore they didn't end up in the landfill. What they replaced them with at first those dreaded plastic cases that existed before the ones stores could remove and reuse created far more waste. You'd have to come home and it was such thick plastic that you'd break a pair of scissors trying to get into it and often crack the CD jewel case. Then of course they moved on to the ones the stores could pop out and reuse, but I still miss the big cardboard cases CDs started out in. So glad vinyl is making a comeback. I have Tool Opiate on Vinyl and also A Perfect Circle Thirteenth Step on Vinyl. Trying to buy a lot of what I had and listened to as a kid in middle and high school/college on first cassette then CD back in Vinyl and my Vinyl collection is something I'll hold onto as it seems to never really go out of fashion or lose it's value.
Boy, this was pretty hard to watch. You would think that as such a dedicated collector this guy would handle these items with much more care. Difficult for somebody who probably won't ever get to own any of this amazing memorabilia to see it treated so poorly. What a shame.
@@deathswell he is just handling these rare pieces just way to roughly. If I slapped down my copy of Aenima that I payed a arm and a leg for, I’d probably shed a tear.
Amazing collection! Your vinyls are beautiful and it's one of the things I envy you. Few years ago I was also collecting Tool. I stopped on having almost 100 different releases. But since then, I have added only a few releases of Fear Inoculum. I hope some day I will start again to expand my collection, especially with Opiate Longbox, Undertow wooden box set and signed Opiate 21st Anniversary Editions. Cheers!
nice collection. my dad owns the zoo entertainment aenima album. he doesn't own other tool albums, but he always played tool songs in the car. your collection of albums, cassette tapes, and vinyl are amazing.
I Love this man! I'm a collector myself! I have all of ACDC stuff well I have all cds and live DVDs cds I have soem rare box sets still trying to find all the vinyls and cassettes they're pricey for good copies! But I love this!
Great collection!!! Hopefully TOOL will release more records within time. I recently found Ænima “sealed”. Felt like i found buried Treasure. Lol. And I agree when Fear Inoculum is available on LP that’s probably gonna be a awesome if it’s anything close to the cd
Alex Grey was selling (his) signed Lateralus vinyls for like $50 on his website a few years back. Snagged one, sounds great. Also, the Salival bootleg vinyl is really high quality packaging and audio. Worth grabbing.
Did you knew that AEnima was already made in Brazil? It's amazing and it has the black cover just like the cassette and completely black back cover!! [it came out in 2000 here]
I used to have 2 copies of VHS salival , one had a red vhs instead of a black one. Also, my original pressing of 10,000 days had a green tent on the outer packaging, where every subsequent pressing had more of a purple tint.
You didn't mention the hidden hit of "Acid" under the paper of the cover of saliva. My friend took his out, and it was a piece of blotter, but not real of course. Also, do you have the Lustmord remixes of Parabola and Schism?
Cool collection man. I was expecting to see the ultra limited signed vinyl of Lateralus for once live, but no... Ps. it is called Enima not Anima. like the old spelling of Aeons now eons.
About a year ago I found Lateralus on vinyl at Walmart and yeah it sounded like shit. Then I looked into other releases and I discovered the Chris Bellman mix. Got a hold of one a month ago brand new for $80 and worth every penny. Significantly better
Wally Wakins, How did you get all this Tool material on all versions? How much money did you spend on all this? I threw all my Tool albums in the trash!!! I'm never listening to Tool again, but I love their sound quality though..
I have a copy of undertow from tool that probably was made in the year 1993, 1994, or 1995. If anyone could tell me how much it's worth please let me know.
I started collect only at now , i buy first 5 albums on cd after i buy vinyl ,before i collect Deftones on vinyl , finished, and started searching tool ,after i buy fear incolum

Sweet collection! Just out of curiosity how much was the Opiate 2013 reissue when it came out?
I think they were around $200-250 from what I've heard... Literally just picked up one!

Quick question with the Undertow cassette; my copy has Tool and Undertow on the cover underneath the artwork. Is this a Canadian variant?
Dude, you gotta show the artwork on the sleeves on the original undertow vinyl! That’s the entire reason I watched this video!
