There’s a calmness in his voice that regulates my nervous system. As if he brings stillness and peace to me. Would that still be the case in a love relationship since they seem to trigger us the most and they seem to drive us in ways that could be destructive or help us evolve

The relationship is yours but not yours alone. Your partner is another person. Now think about what you can adjust or adapt to. And give up the desire to control the person in order to adjust or adapt to the relationship. Go from there.

This interview with Master Shi Heng Yi is truly enlightening and insightful. I appreciate his emphasis on making the most of the limited time we have in life and aligning our intentions with our actions. His teachings on accepting one's fate and using compassion and wisdom to help others are inspiring and practical. The importance of being present and living in the moment cannot be overstated, and I believe this is something we can all strive towards. Thank you to The Everyday Stoic for providing such valuable content and to Master Shi Heng Yi for sharing his wisdom and perspective. This interview has given me a lot to reflect on and I look forward to incorporating these teachings into my own life.

I want to marry him. He makes me feel so safe & loved. I’ve CPTSD, autism, ADHD & borderline. I struggle with intense anxiety & panic disorder. Right now I average one panic attack per day, today I had my biggest autism melt down to date, it scared me, I’d never experienced such uncomfortable energy of that caliber, I couldn’t stop crying for a half hour after raging in anger. F*cking chaotic. I’m grateful for this man. He helps me feel calm when no one else can.

Please try not to pedestal people and scape goat others. It's a symptom of the combined illnesses. I have cPTSD, ADHD and ASD. I done some research on this guy. Until recently he had no affiliation with the official Shaolin Temple. Currently he holds the rank of disciple. The German authorities tried to close the temple down and press charges of fraud however as the actual Shaolin Temple are practising Buddhists they would not provide evidence so the German government who would prosecute. The case dropped due to lack of evidence provided by witnesses.
The guy is very articulate and intelligent. Does his advice work possibly. However this is eclectic second generation spirituality not 35th generation Chan Buddhism disseminated by a warrior Monk as he claims to be.

I have found myself at a difficult part of life where I have had a lot on my mind. Listening to this added clarity. I have much to be grateful for. I have been focusing too much on my own image, how I present myself, instead of being in the moment, instead of responding to the music that is this song, this life. And being an active part of it. Master Shi Heng Yi's philosophy on the breath and how it connects us to the rest of the world just hit me as it would an absolute truth. I do not know if it is the only thing that truly ties us to the world, but it is a certainty that provides a sense of belonging. Something I have struggled with all my life - to know my breath connects me with the rest of the world and likewise the other way around. That is nothing short of beautiful and validates everyone's life. Thank you to you and Master Shi Heng Yi.

  • @juliewatts8391

NOW - N.O.W thank you. I am a follower of Master Shi Heng Yi after seeing him on the 5 Hindrances. I can't say I'm as strong a character as I would like to be, but he has such a good way of explaining about life, and I feel so much better for his teachings. I have thought about my own mortality, from a young age. I am now 61. Sometimes, I feel as if it's made me dissatisfied and always wanting more, scared to miss anything, but it also has made me look at the world in wonderment on the good days, and be so appreciative of my life, my surroundings and nature and the ability to connect with it.
This interview has made me realise, not too late I hope, that I have been without 'intent' for most of my life and have always felt I've just managed to get through 'more by luck than judgement' as the saying goes. I've felt most of my life that my journey has been, in my mind, like climbing a mountain with bare hands, and in those times I've had no idea where I was going, that mountain tore my fingers to the bone. However, I am ever hopeful I will find an easier path more often, as sometimes I do, and finding Shi Heng Yi has definitely eased my travel. It is my intent now to look forward, and
outward, and when I look inward, I will try and find a way to fix what is troubling me, and if I can't fix it, perhaps I can come to terms with it and find quietness and acceptance.
Thank you so much Shi Heng Yi and thanks to your channel for bringing us these interviews.

Really good interview... I thought about this internal vs external energy or thought spectrum... some. I have not come to many conclusions yet. ;) It's very abstract, but i agree with what he says on it though. Just overall seems like a wise dude.. I just need to learn form him i know he has many sophisticated thought patterns i can learn from. I should, i will. Learn more.. "should you must." Good interview.

We are essentially living in a world that it not fit for purpose, we have lost our way, altruism and compassion are being lost to self interest, people inherently know that something is terribly wrong, I believe it’s the loss of community and belonging . We are living in a world that has never been more connected however people have never felt more lonely and disconnected.

Your coments about personal codex i found very interesting ,from mma to other forms like karate or judo or boxing or kung fu...you respect all forms and at the same time know that yes a person can learn maybe all of those practices but unless a person concentraits on one at a time untill the esence of aech has been learned one will never reach what he or she is trying to achieve .so the idea of doing a comitment to what ever you and spending the time and effort to do ,the pursiute of it is available, is what it takes to get the benafit of all the training.to be ballanced when life throws you a curve is vital to the outcome for sure .Shi Heng Yi ,your effort to share your way is valualble ,i hope maney will learn from it .🙏

5 or 6 important points I want to meditate on. If people stop before the end, it. is to meditate on one of these moments. For example the knowledge of when your exercise of power is noit in tune with your true self can help you avoid that corruption power can bring. Presidents could benefit for example from a spiritual advisor near by. I will talk about another point in.a later text.

Experimenting with breaking up practice threwout the whole day for whenever i have time to squeese in ten or twenty minutes as well as doing chi gong watching tv ,hmm ,doesn't sound very dedicated to comitment does it...or does it! Well to me it means i practice at every opportunity i get ,the end result is i do more practices in a day than i would trying to plan out sessions at strict times in the morning etc. ,it keeps my mind engaged with it all day and i accually DO more in a day than trying to stick to two cirtain times of day cause you never know what will demand your time from sun up till sleep time ,hay i could be wrong ,but im giveing it a try anyway ,why not .....😁
