I'm old but love Warcraft. But I'm not good enough to play with real people. My son bought me the remastered and I can't figure out how to play vs computer. Any help would be awesome.
It's a bit late, but I suggest you watch professional matches. Things that go down there are intense! You'll get used to the chaos and will definitely learn a thing or two

Don't worry. I play a multitude of games and still cannot win original Warcraft III vs bots. I can tell you that most games felt like this for me at first and then i usually figure them out bit by bit and start playing more efficiently.

17 years later, WC3 is still one of the best games out there. I'm not sure how much that's a testament to the awesomeness that is WC3, or a damnation of the gaming industry's lack of innovation.

there was one game i played that's very similar to these strategy games, but it beats this in terms of simplicity, and that was dungeon siege 2, it was a story based game but you also had to do side quests for extra experience, the 3 main classes were: archery, melee, and mage, that's it, i used to have one archer and one mage behind the group, and 2 melee upfront, one of them would use a shield and one handed sword while the other would use a 2 handed one, those ones would strike harder, the only trade off was speed. now in terms of combat you only needed to worry about keeping your party alive by pressing the H key for healing and the M key for mana, they were also a way to teach each member to heal each other with magic, and that's what i used to save healing potions. along the way you would also find equipment for your warriors and all you had to do is swap old armor for new ones according to the value number that it has on it, and that rule applies to everything that your warrior wears from: the boots to the helmets and the game would only ever allow you to equip armor that was suited for each class.
I used to love dungeons siege, best dungeon crawler RPG imo.

The WC and SC rts games have always been very intriguing to me but they are so difficult when I actually try to play. Like I'll make a huge army and have them attack, and then I'll watch em die without micromanaging my heroes or anything lol.

How much time it takes to the Moonwell to be filled again after it went dry?
Not really sure why but my PvP gameplay has improved allot with Reforged, maybe its Because Im more exited, but I remember back in classic when I was barely constructive and my friend could solo me with his lvl 7 DH(training sessions)

This would be much better with timestamps re: what he is talking about at certain points. That way veterans that are hoping to pick up a tip or two can jump to the parts that are relevant.

I was playing a Warcraft III custom game today. I wanted to ask if anyone else has encountered the same bug or mistake of the A.I.
No matter what difficulty I choose ( Hard, Normal, Easy ) the A.I. always wins, behaving the same regardless of difficulty choice, seeming to have a small base and huge army in a matter of 1 minute, from the beginning of the game, without peons, peasants etc gathering anything.
I don't know maybe it is on purpose, but I played for years this game and the A.I. never behaved like this,

Right above the play button theres a drop down, you have to make sure you click the "reforged beta".
Actualy i would like to hear about how to make micro and macro, like how to play well. He is sweet, but most of stuff that he talks about could be just read in game

I've been wondering every since Reforged showed up in Blizz shop OG War3 disappeared, but (since I've had by copy registerd back in 2010) I can still download it in my account settings. Wasn't really looking for it, but don't remember mention of that on the site or anything.
I've grown to hate "gg". In RTS like this it makes sense - see you're gonna lose, typ and leave. However, playing Overwatch, 90% of the time it's gonna be someone on the enemy team who just won a totally one-sided match whose first to "gg". How is it a "good game" when my team has leavers/AFKs/throwers I ask you.

@Anonymous Anonymous Not true, mobas existed in SC with Aeon of Strife sure, but DOTA -- the most influential which inspired the creation of many mobas -- still made it's debut in WC3. Many of the mechanics you see in DOTA 2 are WC3-inspired; the heroes they use, couriers, denying last hits, etc. SC may've been earlier but it wasn't the most influential.
