That's a true statement. Its also easier to call others fools than admit being one. Such statements do tend to always be true (and easy to say) though.
Personally, I'm not one of those people who just mock and scorn alternative ideas without bothering to even do a bit of research, or even considering it seriously for a moment, eg. what almost every flat earth "debunker", comedian, scientist, or otherwise, tends to do. I've actually been interested in the whole thing for many years, even joined the flat earth society website, and so think I've given the idea a fair chance. I still have yet to come across a convincing piece of evidence or argument though. Always willing to debate.

@@tony.h321 The thing for me is they do tend to get irate when you challenge them to actually present a personal evidence supported argument.
I challenge them all the time and I have researched both sides ad infinitum - but the very fact they will switch burden as a response to being challenged tell us all they don't want to have to explain the simple tenets of the belief using evidence.
As thats the rational way we all arrive at conclusions: By testing ideas and explanations, this tells us in neon lights that they are fake and don't have the knowledge they claim.
So, when they start the old "You're a shill" routine, AFTER you have caught them cold in an argument I do tend to mock them or at least give what I get.

Curvature is visible on all of the thousends of pictures from space, (even from those BEFORE CGI was invented) it's also clearly that object far away disapearing behind the curve, altough there are som condition with refractions that can make you se a bit further sometimes, but there is allways an horizon. On a flat earthe you wouldn't have a horizon.
You can't feel motion, we don't have any senses for that. We can fell CHANGE in motion, but not motion itself (like when you are in an aeroplane, you can't feel that you traveling in 500 mph)
Star patterns are differnet on the south hemisphere then in the north, and move at opposite direction. Impossible on a flat earth.
Norhtern star isn't lock, it change a bit over the year, and over thousends of year it moves so it wont be north star anymore. It was another star a couple of thousends year ago (Thuban). This movements however is to small to see with your naked eye. The north star is also not visible from the south hemisphere.
Flightpath ONLY works on a globe! Why do you think they are curved on a flat map? Because on a globe it will be a straight line. Flight path don't work at all on a flat earth on the south hemisphere, the distances are 3 times to long then i reality. The planes would also be flying in a constant turn, wich they don't.
All this you could have found in 5 minutes research for your self.

So can you say which version of a flat Earth you believe please? Since there are a number of versions to choose from. For example, dome or no dome? Edge or no edge? Globe sun/moon or flat sun/moon? And so on.

It has no edge as it doesn't exist objectively, it's a holographic projection in our minds. It's a simulation akin to a virtual reality computer game. Materialism is bullshit. What I do know for sure is Earth is not a spinning globe hurtling through outer space. The sun, the moon, the stars, and the "planets" are not what they tell us either. Try reading Eric Dubay's Flat Earth FAQ book if you have any questions. Also read David Icke's books if you want to know the truth of this world. Flat Earth theorists claim planets like Saturn and Jupiter are just lights in the sky, like stars, showing you video and photos of those planets taken through a P900 camera., but not in focus.
Those who use the same P900 camera and focus it correctly on Saturn and Jupiter can see they are planets, with rings around Saturn and moons orbiting Jupiter :-|

at the equinox, the sun at the equator, at noon is at the zenith and should not cast any shadow on a vertical pole, however, in the quitsato, sundial, located at the equator, there is no video or image in which it is seen. perhaps the sun does not follow a straight path, which would affirm the path of the sun on flat earth
The Sun does NOT have a straight path on a globe Earth because of the tilted axis.
What would cause the Sun to have a circular path on a flat earth?

You need to prove that the sun at the equator should not cast any shadow on a vertical pole. But that's the least of your problems!! You need to explain how your flat earth sun can shrink and expand its circular orbit without speeding up and slowing down. Or how everyone on the planet can see the same face of the moon when it's no more than 3,000 miles high. These are only 2 of the many holes in your model, that to date, remain unresolved.

The gravity theory was invented to explain how the earth and moon and stars exist but most importantly how someone could possibly stick to the bottom of a ball..
