Let's make your Stripe experience dispute-free!
Hi, I read somewhere that only 10% of the dispute trigger an EFW in the first place.
I don't know about the accuracy of this statistic, but it is true that EFW is not the most "perfect" solution. Still, it can help to prevent a part of it without having to use paid solutions, if it's what you are looking.
Hey, managed to set up these EFW refunds so thank you again!!
Although for some reason I see you have restricted API keys for every Pabbly action, but in my case for step 4 and 5 where I put the contact into Stripe block lists I had to put secret API key, some issues with permissions idk...
By the way as I was looking into chargebacks I came across chargeblast chargeback alerts... It might be something you'll be interested in
you can set up alerts for Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, Discovery and they let you know the chargeback will happen 1 or 2 days before it comes to stripe so you can refund first...
and because they have a direct stripe integration they also give you an option to automatically refund payments with EFW and you can set a price limit for these automatic refunds because not all EFWs become chargebacks
I'm just in the process of setting this up for additional protection...
Awesome! Happy to hear back that you managed to set it up for yourself :D
Correct, I "hide" my API keys, but for sure, it's important to have the right permissions on your Stripe API key, since by default they aren't "checked".
Chargeblast seems good, I just wanted a solution for myself that didn't involve having to pay for a service when a part of it was already offered in Stripe. Keep me posted on your experience afterwards :)
@@HugoHamelcom yeah chargeblast covers "friendly fraud", when customers are too lazy to ask for a refund and call their bank for a chargeback
You only pay when you get the alert, they say it's 25$ on average
Still better than having a high chargeback rate and them shutting down the Stripe account
I'll keep you posted, hope I remember...
Hey, very helpful video
Can't you set up the same or at least similar rules in Stripe Radar?
Because I've set up a bunch of these rules in Stripe and now I'm also considering this setup with Pabbly that you're showing here
Glad you liked it 🙏 It's a very good question, I am not a Stripe Radar expert and unless I am missing something, Stripe Radar is only to have rules pre-payment for example "Block if CVC verification fails" or "Block if Postal code verification fails" rather than being post-payment, so Stripe Radar doesn't seem to have more advanced automations like these. That's where automation tools like Pabbly Connect comes handy 🙌
@@HugoHamelcomyeah, I'll have to do this Pabbly setup for extra protection
Good to know.
Hopefully it'll help you as much as it did for me :)
If i want to do this on my stripe account, do i need to be on test mode?
It is implemented in production, not just test mode.
So they had the same Life time offer back in August too... With the same 3hours 36 minutes limit... ok...
I'll go for the free version first no matter what. :D
You are referring to Pabbly I am assuming? Starting with the free version to try it out is always a smart decision. In any cases, I believe they still have an lifetime deal offer running, check it out here: bit.ly/hh-pabbly-connect-ltd
This was not a beginner friendly tutorial to be honest but thank you!
Good point, it might not be for beginners-beginners, but I tried to do it as much step-by-step as possible. Was there anything you saw would have changed to improve it, make it better or easier? Would love to get your feedback!
@@HugoHamelcom Agreed It was a little too confusing
@@Cameron.England Which part confused you the most? Maybe I can try to clarify that.
