As a fan who attended many Elvis concerts and having met him twice, I absolutely loved the new movie. It’s brought hundreds of thousands of new fans to him. Pricilla was honored in Memphis Thursday, inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame and Robert Plant attended and he too praised the movie.

I’m glad to hear you say that…My wife and I loved it. I’ve heard that some of the Elvis aficionados didn’t care for it…I’m not sure exactly why though do you? We went with an open mind and really didn’t know what to expect and walked out loving it. Like it or not it’s great when your musical heroes are center stage again like that…now if they would do one about Glenn Miller then I’d be happy! 😂

I believe back in the 70's or 80's you could spend the night in the train cars.

Chattanooga and Atlanta had identical and quite distinctive Depots. The one in Atlanta was burned down in the Civil War, but the Chattanooga Depot survived. When you see a Civil War photo of a Railroad Depot, it is likely one of those two.

Probably 25 years ago we used to go to the choo choo on New Year's Eve. They had a fantastic sit-down dinner all of the waiters took turns singing. There was a champagne toast and the whole nine at midnight. It was a great place to go. we actually stayed in one of the cars the last time we went. I didn't know you couldn't do that anymore. It was a great place to spend Years Eve.

My GF and I stayed in one of the rail cars in the mid 2000's. There was a violent storm that night and the wind rocked that RxR Car like you wouldn't believe.

How sweet would it be to turn this into a whole destination... a BnB, old time general store, all the box cars turned into mom and pop stores and restraunts... OMG! wish was a Millionaire...think of it all the little shops and fountains and flowers, trees...WOW!❤️

Hi Jordan, great seeing the Jahster back on tour, and super cool that the beautiful railway station was saved. What a lovely quirky hotel, I think the Jahster was keen to get to his room. The gardens and fountain are beautiful. When you think of how busy that station must have been and how lovely and relaxing it is now. Nice meeting Lesley aswell. Great vlog Jordan.

Wow. Good old Chattanooga TN. When I was 6 years old in 1966 I was in the Chattanooga children's home for 2 years and I went to Sunnyside elementary school. I haven't seen any pics or videos on this awesome city since I left in 1968. Thanks Jordan. Awesome video man..yes there was another door beside that one with the glass window. It was just another little door to go out of. I use to go there and sit and watch the trains. It was very quiet back then. Wow that gift shop was actually a ticket booth back in the 60s. .those old lights were there when I was there ..same lights.that sculpture park is on the very old side of Chattanooga. It was a hot bed for violence back in the 60s. I had a huge experience with the national guard in 1968 . It was a tense several days with racial unrest. About 2 weeks after MLK was assassinated. All of Chattanooga was on high alert and a lot violence broke out.. it was epic. I was 8 years old and it was end of April 1968. Love this video.

I can not praise the Elvis movie. I have become an Elvis expert and it is not a true movie of Elvis. There were so many scenes that were made up I don’t have enough space here to name them all and I don’t want to. It could have been great if it had shown the truth. Now younger people will not really know Elvis. Great place to visit. I know Chattanooga well. Good job.

This is a wonderful vlog Jordan, when I moved from Connecticut to Houston my Mother drove with me, when we got to Chattanooga, I said let’s stop and ride the Choo Choo and she laughed and said Karen that’s a song. So happy to see that it really was a Choo Choo, Rest In Peace dear Mother but you were wrong😿 Thanks for finally taking me there, I made it to the Choo Choo, I’m sure she’s watching and laughing at me💔Elvis was so young and handsome then💕

Wow I have lived in Chattanooga all my life, and been to the Choo Choo a few times. I never knew Elvis had been there before. that was interesting. And I did not know Normans had a restaurant there. It has been years since I was there at the Choo Choo. But I remember it being very crowded with people, and very well kept. Looks like it needs some revamping. Nice to see you here and welcome, I would have like to seen you and Jah he is so cute. If you get to some time you can ride the Tennessee Valley Choo Choo train on weekends. Also check out Rock City , Ruby Falls and Raccoon mountain caverns :)

🇺🇸🎵🇺🇸🎵🇺🇸🎵🇺🇸🎵🇺🇸Thank you for giving my boy Glenn Miller a shout out!!! I’ve actually held that gold record in my hands before…I was even allowed to play his trombone in a performance at the Glenn Miller music festival in Clarinda Iowa once…which I have considered being a platinum member on patreon and requesting a vlog there or at the Glenn Miller archives at the university of Colorado Boulder (which is where the gold record is kept) Clarinda is a great little town with a very nice modern museum dedicated to all things Glenn Miller including the house he was born in and lived…
I know I’ve said this before, however here it tis again…Elvis is to you what Glenn Miller is to me…so thank you again for mentioning him…you’re helping me out whenever you do…I am one of only two people who represent The Glenn Miller Estate and Family and I have been tasked with getting his military awards and acclamations squared away and more importantly his Legacy…his contribution to American music and our freedom can’t be overstated…he still holds records/achievements in the industry that stand today…a few were knocked down by Elvis and the Beatles, but not all of them!
Okay, I’m finished and I’ll shut up now 😂
Thanks again Jordan, it truly means a lot…

Thank you for bringing back my childhood from the early 70s. When I stayed there with my parents the World's Largest HO Guage Model Railroad at the time was in the terminal station. It was 174'X33' layout. Wish it was still there. Still have my brochure from then. Chattanooga Choo Choo was a Hilton hotel back then. We stayed in one of the pullman coaches. Looks like the phone booth behind Elvis got turned into a broom closet.

We stayed in a train car at Chattanooga Choo Choo back in 2000. Chattanooga is a nice trip for us only about 90 miles away from where I live. We stayed in the Delta Queen when it was docked there in 2011, and about 3 years ago we stayed at a remodeled motor court (motel) that had views of the Chattahoochee River. Halfway between Chattanooga and Atlanta is an old plantation and ruins of a house. Barnsley Gardens I think is it's name. You see the graves of enslaved people there. so sad, no names, just rocks marking their graves. there is also an old Cherokee town and just a little further away, Chief Vann's house. You should tour that for your fans sometime.

$100 is great. I think it was around $150 for the train car room back in 2000. I bet they will cost a lot more after they are refurbished. I will say this too. The bathroom looked like a train car bathroom. Nothing fancy, although we did have a claw footed tub if I remember correctly but I thought the bathroom was a bit ugly, too much stark metal. Lol we had a daybed like you saw beside a king-sized bed. Since it was only my husband and I, we used the daybed like a sofa. Those are really dated, very 1980. Maybe they will get rid of those. although they are better than a pullout sofa.

Chattanooga is my home town! 🏡 I remember a number of years ago at the Choo choose restaurant they used to have singing waiters and waitresses. If the train car is still there my husband refurbished it.....this was quite a few years ago. You used to have to wait in a long line to get in to eat there! You used to he able to spend the night in the train cars also.

That left door was wide open, and you can see a pay phone inside.
