Great vlog Jordan ! I lived overseas during the Dallas years. Icelandic TV aired it & it cleared the streets there as well. Once while I was sick, my Dr. came by to check on me. He ended up staying to watch Dallas because if he drove home he would have missed a few minutes of the show. I had a good chuckle over that.
I lived abt 2 miles from SF in the 80s. A friend and I went one day and parked on the dirt road behind it and jumped the fence. Went through the barns and sat at the pool ( pool much smaller then appears on TV). Just acted like we belonged there. Waved at people working there. Nobody said anything, lol. Finally got bored and left. My favorite JR line, is JR talking to Bobby’s wife Anne. Anne: JR, I never would never expect even you to go this low. JR: (smiling) Anne, you need to work on your expectations.
Loved watching Dallas. The show's intro featured photos of "iconic" locations around the City of Dallas like the long entrance to Southern Methodist University, and many other locations. Perhaps a lesser known TX trivia is that the traditional Stetson and Resistol cowboy hats have always been manufactured in Garland, TX which is about 5 miles south of the Southfork Ranch.
What a walk down memory lane! Even if you weren't a faithful Dallas fan, you couldn't help knowing what was happening on the show. An 80's phenomenon indeed!
I loved this show. Pam and Bobby were my favorite. You looked great in that hat😁. Great to see the creative genius who made the beginning and ending of your vlogs!! Thank you. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤❤❤🤗
Another fantastic installment. Was always glad this was on Friday’s as mom would not let us watch much if any TV on school nights. Later in the series and for all the reboots we had a group that got together to watch the show. Outstanding job! 😎👍
Jordan ,You sure are right, "Dallas" was huge. Who shot J.R. Ewing ,was the talk of the town, everywhere you went you could hear people talking about it.It was even on the front of magazines. What a great video.Thank you, Jordan I absolutely loved this. God bless
I'm only 29 year's old but i fell in love with Dallas the TV show recently I'm on season 6 now I've learned all the characters on the show and there personalitys JR was my favorite on the show I've always wondered what the SF Ranch looked like in real life it was so AMAZING to see the Ranch up close and personal I've loved every episode of Dallas so far and I'ma watch till the end
What a FLASHBACK! Thanks for the GREAT behind the scenes tour - I also watched the show way back when. Your ENTHUSIASM comes through on this vlog! Always INTERESTING vlogs!!! Thanks, Jordan!!
I was so obsessed with this show in the 80’s that while out with mates I realised I had five mins to get home on a 10 min journey for Dallas to start that I peddled my bike as fast as I possibly could only to have the gear slip and hit the ground hard only to have part of the peddle lodged in my knee cap . Headless to say I missed that episode of bobby and his famous “Well good morning “ shower scene 😂. Great vlog dude
I remember watching Dallas when I was younger with my mom. Great Vlog Jordan! Always amazing🤗🤗🤗 BTW I've got my mom and brother watching you vlogs with me now. They love your videos.💙
My dad has the complete series on DVD he watches it all the time I wish I could bring him there it would be like a dream come true for him before he passes away he is not doing so good anyway great video
I LOVE this! I remember as a kid in the '80's, the whole family would watch this. Of course, growing up in Houston makes this all the more nostalgic. I miss Texas and the '80's!
Jordan...the original "Southfork" ranch house frame is still standing on a huge ranch over in Frisco a few miles west of this Southfork location...they only filmed about 5 episodes at that one...years ago that house burned, but it had a huge steel beam frame which is still standing
When I first came to the Dallas area 31 years ago, one of the first things I did was visit Southfork!! I moved permanantly to the area a few months later, though not close to Southfork. I need to take that tour again. I got to meet Linda Gray a few years ago. She was wonderful! Another great vlog
My mom loved this show...we watched together.god o miss her.anyway love your vlogs.o adore gah. My dog loves watching jah.me I'm going through treatments so can't go places.u help the time go by and are helping me with my bucket list.u are awesome.stay cool.
This looks like a fun tour, TV was at its best back then Dallas,Magnum PI,Simon & Simon,Knots Landing all hits of the 80's, and of course Falcon Crest which was filmed just outside of my hometown in Northern Calif. Love your insight to these interesting places that your travels take you.
I remember loving this when I first started watching this in 1980 when I was ten in england I remember it was massive & remember all the T shirts when JR was shot I couldn’t get enough of it & knotts landing I got my mum hooked on it too 👍🏼
What an amazing Vlog Jordan! How beautiful the South Fork Ranch, still is! I'm surprised that the Studio, did not buy it and set up tours! Growing up, I always enjoyed watching this show; as well! J.R.'s antics, always kept us on the edge of our seats! 👍🏆👍
Dear Jordan I love Dallas ,I watched it as a kid with my mum as she loved Dallas, she used to watch every episode without missing anything, she loved Bobby ,so thank u for showing Dallas filming location, brings back so many memories for me ,as always I enjoy your blogs so much thanks again 💋
My mom watched Dallas. She told me she and her mother and sister-in-law would all watch it together. I never saw the series, but your vlog made me feel like I now know what was going on back in the pre-me days. Thank you for all your research and fascinating details! I appreciate all your efforts on behalf of your viewers. Thank you Jordan. You are the best!
All I can say is ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!! Loved this show. Gotta buy the DVDs. How cool that your mom named you after the character Jordan on the show! Thanks so much, Jordan; you did a fantastic job, as always! 🎉
The current Home Office Minister of the UK is named after Sue Ellen Ewing. (where I live now) Her name is Suella Braverman. Her mom named her after Sue Ellen as a massive Dallas fan. Suella shortened it to how she is known today. I bought the boxed set this year. I watched the series with my mom and dad in Ontario on Friday nights as a kid but don't remember much. Except JR's shooting of course. Now I'm enjoying all of it on dvd and catching up with memories as both mom and dad have passed away. Reminders of Fridays rush to do the groceries, get KFC and be back home in time for Dallas. :)
Omg i am soo excited you vlog Southfork!!!! Thank you# Thank you! Thank you!! Its one of my all time favorite shows! No one coukd of played JR than Larry. Can not wait to see this! Xoxo
I was such a big fan that my husband brought our battery operated tv when he picked me up from work. Started watching as soon as I got in the car. Thanks Jordan.
That looked like such a great time! I always enjoy when vlogs take me back to my childhood memories. All of the vlogs you have showed on this trip have places I too now want to see one day. I love it!
Yes we stopped whatever we were doing on Friday nights to watch Dallas! I loved this show! I remember being at the bowling alley and stopped playing to see JR get shot! Everything in and out of the house was beautiful just like I remember! Love this vlog Jordan! It brings back lots of memories! Thank you! I never figured out who you were named after?
Omg I love this one! ♥♥ I am a huge Dallas fan. Have seen every single episode even the remake series lived it too! Thank you so much for this! Amazing job!!!!
I’m from the Fort Worth area and got married in 1987, soon after all the hype. We were 19 & 20 years old, and broke, so we stayed in the area for our honeymoon. Touring Southfork was one of the local things we did. Oh the memories. I didn’t know they were going to be opening it up for overnight stays. We’ve not been back. We may have to go, this August, to celebrate our 34th anniversary. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
I have been to South Fork Ranch five times and I loved every moment of it. My favorite characters are Donna Krebs and Pam Ewing. When Susan Howard and Victoria Principal left, Dallas was never the same. I also loved Donna Reed as Miss Ellie. I remember my mother and I in the 1980's we would watch at 9pm Dallas then at 10pm Falcon Crest. Thank You - God Bless
Love your Norman Petty t-shirt! Nice tour of the South Fork Ranch with your friend Jeff along. Since I only watched the 1st couple seasons of Dallas, I never knew who actually shot JR, seriously LoL. Thanks for a trip back to the 80's Jordan Lee.
Love your video! I loved watching Dallas! I’m hoping to get the entire set of DVD’s some day! BTW, Barbara Bel-Geddis didn’t walk away from the show. She had breast cancer, which was a subject of a few episodes of Dallas. It was not certain if she would come back to the series at all, so they brought in Donna Reed. She, apparently, was very upset because she loved doing the show. But sadly she passed away soon after!
Ken Kercheval, who played Cliff Barnes, died on April 21, 2019 at 83 from pneumonia. Jordan, your vlogs with Breck moving him to TX and after have been GREAT!!
Thank you so much for this. I love "Dallas". I watched the show when it was on the air, and now I watch it on "Peacock" which carries the entire series. So awesome to see the house and all the pictures and memorabilia.
Great vlog,Jordan. Images of the actors doing the different episodes kept going through my mind. I can just imagine what it would be like to live there.🤗🤗
Knots Landing was fantastic. I watched both of these shows from beginning to end. The era of the night time soap, and the the day time soaps all ruled TV. Now Reality TV is tops. Dallas was fun to watch, and thanks for sharing it with us!🌹♥🌷🏵🌻🌻☀💕☀💮🌼🌼💗🌸💗💮💕💕💕🌻♥🌹😍🌷🏵🏵🌻🌻☀☀💗💗💗🐈🌼☀🌻🌻🏵♥♥
Wait What? I watched Falcon Crest some but I never finished it. I was a die hard Knots Landing fan. I also liked Dynasty because I had a huge crush on Jeff!
WOW!!! 🦁 Jordan, Great tad bits about a show that I grew up watching...I did not know that Larry Hagman had his ashes scattered at Southfork and Thanks for sharing another personal info about yourself. I have to show my parents this vlog...my parents were huge Dallas show fanatics. About me, my brother named me...After, one of the witches from the BeWitched show. 🤣 Nice to see the creator of your You Tube introduction. This was an AWESOME vlog!!! 👏👍👏
That's really awesome, so informative, I don't know where I've been, but I totally forgotten that Larry Hagman was deceased, thanks so much for sharing 🤗.
I watched it as a kid and then started over from the beginning about seven years ago. It was way better than I remembered and despite the look, it didn’t feel very dated. Love it.
Until I started watching these Southfork tour videos, I had no idea that the inside of the real house was totally different from the soundstage house. The exterior actually was pretty much the same. The patio table where the Ewings ate breakfast and the pool area.
In 82' that ranch was waaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere. There were no signs or anything denoting it was the ranch. It was just like any other private home, off limits to the public. The really nice thing about the place now is that it is as it was back in the day. A real house and not some shell like on the studio back lots.
Awesome Virtual tour of South Fork. Watched some of it when I was a kid. But now I'm actually watching it all from the beginning. Gotta love J.R. Ewing.
I can't get the Dallas theme song out of my head. I really enjoyed this vlog. It is always so interesting to hear some of these stories that you either did'nt know or that you have forgotten. I really loved this show. So much fun. Thanks Jordan
Chris Hutchinson I always loved the the e song too, so I found a few ring tones for my iPhone! I have 3 of them & each are just a little bit different but very good! What’s funny is most young people that hear it have no clue!!!
I was born in 1974, and so I grew up watching Dallas with the family. Not to many choices on the tv back then so you watch what was on. Dallas great show. I remember the whole "who shot JR ?" promotion. That was a great tour Jordan. That was cool to see the real South Fork Ranch! My family loved this show, so I will have to show them this vlog. I hope your mom gets to shay there one day. Thanks as always!
This was so cool Jordan! Had to be in front of the TV Friday night for Dallas, couldn't miss it! I remember all the conversations at my workplace trying to figure out who it was that shot JR. We always had to discuss Dallas on breaks and over lunch. Always thought Linda Gray was so pretty. Thanks again and safe travels.
WOW!! This Was Amazing!!I Loved It!! I Can't Believe How They Just Let You Guys Roam Around...That Was Great!!! I Would Loved To Have The Lincoln...Thanks Jordan...Great Job 👍
My job moved me to DFW and I chose Plano to raise our family. It’s been a great decision and while I vaguely remember watching Dallas with my Mom growing up I have driven by the SF ranch in Parker (just east of Plano) but haven’t been inside. I’m excited to do it after watching your VLog. Thanks Jordan!
I went to see the ranch back in November of 1981. At that time you parked on the road and walked to the gate and up the drive to the back of the house to the garage and pool area. It was a guided tour and you were not free to roam the property nor were there tours of the inside of the house, as it was lived in at the time. We were free to look in the windows of the house, but that is as close as we got. 💜
Thank you so much for doing this video in all your videos I'm having a good time with your Channel. Can you please do a video on the filming locations of the original Walking Tall 1973 with Joe Don Baker I believe it was filmed at Johnsonville Tennessee thank you for your time sir much appreciated
It was true they did not have people lining up to buy this when it went up for sale, the present owners got a good deal - that was in the Dallas Morning News!
Larry Hagman (J. R. Ewing) had his ashes scattered at Southfork Ranch after his death with cast members in attendance.
😎🏁 That's pretty no bullying cool!
Love your show I'm addicted I'm not getting any housework done 😁
Who knows, you may have a piece of J R on the bottom of your sneakers.
That is good to know RIP Mr Hagman
I had not heard that. That is so interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Dallas was my favorite show ever. I never missed an episode!!!!
my late mom loved it too
Dallas and Dynasty were the primetime soaps to see! Your smile and enthusiasm was contagious Jordan! Great vlog!
It seems like a lifetime ago since Dallas premiered. Thanks for the cool upload, Jordan.
it was a lifetime ago, that's why.. back in the '70s. April 2, 1978 to be exact
It "was" a lifetime ago! 😉
From the last millennium, so to speak...😉
I lived abt 2 miles from SF in the 80s. A friend and I went one day and parked on the dirt road behind it and jumped the fence. Went through the barns and sat at the pool ( pool much smaller then appears on TV). Just acted like we belonged there. Waved at people working there. Nobody said anything, lol. My favorite JR line, is JR talking to Bobby’s wife Anne.
Anne: JR, I never would never expect even you to go this low.
JR: (smiling) Anne, you need to work on your expectations.
That was a smart move by the owner to turn the house into an attraction......
That's why he will of bought it in the first place if I had the money to buy it I would have done the same
Thank You "SF" for allowing Jordon to film. I'm too old to ever visit but I can imagine my daughter showing up,
Loved watching Dallas.
This was my favorite tv show back then. Watched it every week. I’m going to have to put this on my bucket list.
What a walk down memory lane! Even if you weren't a faithful Dallas fan, you couldn't help knowing what was happening on the show. An 80's phenomenon indeed!
Really neat that it's still all there. Awesome to see. Thank you Jordan for taking us there.
I loved this show. Pam and Bobby were my favorite. You looked great in that hat😁. Great to see the creative genius who made the beginning and ending of your vlogs!! Thank you. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤❤❤🤗
Just binge watched all 13 years of Dallas! Sure had great writers back in the awesome 80's!
@Josie Whales me too!
Where can it be binge watched?
Sharyn Bitzer IMDB streaming channel.
Another fantastic installment. Was always glad this was on Friday’s as mom would not let us watch much if any TV on school nights. Later in the series and for all the reboots we had a group that got together to watch the show. Outstanding job! 😎👍

I loved Dallas. I was disappointed with the newest version.
I was in love with Gary... The black sheep. Thank you for making my day again Jordan 😀
Yes the reboot was very bad. The producer and the writers trashed it.

My all time favorite TV show! My wife and I visited South Fork Ranch in 2018 and it was awesome! A must visit for any fan of the show!
Thanks. This was great. True, everybody watched. It was an unforgettable cast .I didn't know Larry Hagman had his ashes scattered on the ranch.
Larry Hagman was awesome! He and Carrol O' Connor (Archie Bunker) used to be neighbors at one time and were very good friends. Thanks Jordan :)

I figured you did not know or you would have mentioned it.
Larry Hagman had his liver transplant in Omaha at hospital where I later worked. Also grew up watching that and Knot's Landing with Dad.
Thanks for the post...I loved Dallas and was so sad when it went off... :(

Dallas was always my favorite show to watch on Fridays I love that show and I still watch the reruns
This was Amazing Jordan!! I watched Dallas weekly with my mom as that was our soap opera in the 80's..also watched Dynasty and Knots Landing
WOW!! This Was Amazing!!I Loved It!! I Can't Believe How They Just Let You Guys Roam Around...That Was Great!!! I Would Loved To Have The Lincoln...Thanks Jordan...Great Job 👍
I visited there and it was so neat walking around the home. I will always be a fan of Dallas! I watched it all the time.
I watched this with my mom too. Loved this one. You nailed it. Makes me wanna watch some Dallas.
I tell you, everything you do, every set you´ve been to, has been awesome. You are doing a great job!
My husband and I have visited the ranch, but now after your video I want to go back!!
This is great! "Old pimp car" cracked me up. Good one, Jordan. Your videos are the most interesting. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you so much for doing this video in all your videos I'm having a good time with your Channel. Can you please do a video on the filming locations of the original Walking Tall 1973 with Joe Don Baker I believe it was filmed at Johnsonville Tennessee thank you for your time sir much appreciated
Went today 09 08 21 . Was so awsome and not even crowded. Was hot in the high 90s . Learned some things about the show I never knew.
My Mom and I used to watch Dallas together also!! Loved this show and is one of my favorites from the 80’s ✌🏻👍🏻❤️
Thanks for the video!! One of my favorite shows
I agree, I liked this even more than I thought I would. I think the Texas tiles might be my favorite part
It was true they did not have people lining up to buy this when it went up for sale, the present owners got a good deal - that was in the Dallas Morning News!
