Elec's Thunder beam is set to 10 ATK damage, which is the original. based on this great idea, I plan to hold an "Original Spec Tournament" with all robots' ATK damages and I-frames set to the original. the title is tentative. maybe I will make it a little clearer. PS I fixed the He's Moon-walk on the metal stage 8)
It is astonishing to me just how much of a menace Air Man is. Perhaps you should do one where all the Robot Masters have their original damage values fighting against Air Man
I only now noticed - Elec Man has an extremely unique weakness I don't think any other Robot Master will have. Starting a round on the left side of the map is a HUGE disadvantage for him. Because his attacks are based on where he's standing and his first attack he uses on the ground is on the right side of the map, starting on the left can make him go through some huge hurdles just to get his pattern going.
Left Elec Man vs Right Elec Man could be interesting to see how much of a difference it makes. He's even got a second arena layout in Wily Stage 2, so it would be possible to check if it matters more or less on a different stage.

Iceman also takes 1/3 of life in the same way as Elecman, Ice Man (ATK 10) VS Robot Masters would also be an interesting idea for battles, although I think Iceman would be even more dangerous due to the higher fire rate.
So this confirms something I figured about Elec Man - his main weakness is his pushback whenever he gets hit. Him and Cut Man have that same weakness, but Cut Man's more versatile weapon and higher jumps compensates for the pushback. Elec Man doesn't have that.
Very interesting how Elec Man’s AI makes Air Man essentially a perfect counter to him, since he attacks based on position. Also, I laughed my ass off at Heat Man doing the stunlock. Fun fact, kids, you too can do that to Elec Man! And without even moving from where you start, just a matter of timing your shots.
I don’t actually know if Elec Man's AI tries to go for contact damage specifically. He just runs back and forth, and will sometimes jump in reaction to your shots. It’s less him going for contact damage and more if happen to be in the way, he'll do contact damage. But yeah he's programmed to go back and forth and I think he fires the Thunder Beam at specific spots in the arena. I might be mistaking that with Copy Robot though.
That's not how he works. Elec's AI on MM1 is fairly simple, thus why he sucks so much; Basically, there are 4 points across his stage, 2 being on the sides, and 2 near the blocks. Once he reaches one of those points, he stops and shoots the opponent, then runs to the next point
i love your videos but this one was not interesting at all... whats the point making his damage 10x? i think at this point the battle royals or team mashups are the most interesting
