- And here we are. 3 years into it's lifespan, Mega Man X DiVE is shutting down one month from now, with the Offline version also launching at the beginning of the month. So, let's cap off it's life by seeing just how far it's come, and just how much it also missed out on.

I'm glad that this game is mostly being preserved in an offline state. There is clearly a lot of love put into it.

Yeah, it was a good call to add Ryu, boring ass Chun-Li and Akuma into the game. You can get Ryu's hadouken move in X1. You can also get boring ass Chun-Li's flaming shoryuken move in X2, and Magma Dragoon uses that move in X4. And Magma Dragoon has Akuma's dive kick as well as Akuma's symbol.

A Zero and Vergil fusion is simply way too much for the Universe to behold, and there you have it, it should be beyond the chart though to be lore friendly for both of them.
Also very nice touch to have Dr. Light Martial Artist, they nailed that one.
I gotta be honest, I'm still a bit upset about the fact we didn't get to see next DiVE armor Zero or Axl and not to mention some characters that's still missing, like Double, iX, and even Lumine! It feels like there's still so much missing that should at least be added!
My wish list for the characters I would've to see in this game:
Guts man, Duo, Gutsman.EXE, Glyde.EXE, Double, Lord Veil, Fefnir, Grey or Ashe (Model A), Epsilon, Wily, Colonel.EXE, Craft, Elpizo (and add Dark Elf Elpizo as a boss fight), Taurus Fire, Jack Corvus, Queen Virgo, Black Ace, Red Joker, Tribe King Megaman, Gregar Beast Out/Falzar Beast Out and Forte.EXE Beast Out.
Honorable mention : Django and Sabata (Boktai series) Black Django, Aaron and Lucian (Lunar Knights series)
Gunvolt, Asimov, Copen, Nova, Mythil, Shademan.EXE, Red (leader of Red Alert), Redips and Spider (Spider as playable and Redips as a boss)
Perhaps all Megaman with a Monster Hunter armor (kinda unfair that only a few of the X and Dive characters got a costume😢) Lumine definitely.
How odd they didn't make Axl a costume based off Nero from DMC4.
Dude, we didn't get:
- other X armors from X6 to X8;
- Axl White armor from X8;
- Spider, the only Command Mission playable character not available in Dive;
- other antagonists besides Sigma, like Doppler, Wily and the Zero Clone from X2 (since they even had freaking Zero Nightmare);
- other secondary villains like the traitor Mac from X3 or High Max from X6, since they had Bit and Dynamo;
- many characters from classic series, like Auto, Duo, Enker and such, or other Megaman forms from 11;
- Megaman Xover;
- other ZX/Advent important characters;
- the other Guardians from Zero series;
- other bosses from the whole series, since we had Magma Dragoon and Drill Man as a boss;
- more characters from Xtreme games, like the navigators and the villains;
- some joke characters, like Sniper Joe, Green Biker Dude, Bad Box Art Megaman;
- crossover with other franchises like Resident Evil, Breath of Fire and Onimusha;
- some obscure references to other Megaman games, like Soccer, Marvel Vs Capcom, that chinese strategy game, Battle & Chase or Super Adventure Rockman (where Mega shows he can use both busters at the same time);
- more references to other Megaman products, like X Kai is;
- some more skins, like helmetless Megaman, X8 Vile or weapon inspired alternate colors.

@@Daniel_Rodrigues_89 Yeah, all of Megamen should've gotten a Dive Armor not just the X and EXE ones. Come to think of it, Vile(Vava) could also have received one too. Wouldn't that be cool? Bass and Bass EXE as well
Ciel getting an Armor or getting her commander's uniform would have been cool. (Z) Zero getting a dive armor, too.
2:17 the fact that Magma Dragoon is a playable character and can imagine as a good just made this an instant buy when the new game is released.

Really wish they had at least got every X armor out before the end, we missed Blade, Glide and the X8 armors. We also never got the rest of the 4 Guardians, or the boys from ZX, or any S Rank form of Geo like Tribe King or the Final Noises. Still, it was a fun romp while it lasted.
I would have loved to have had the Blade Armor, but I suppose all good things must come to an end, even incomplete ones...

Would be cool to see a few more OGs from the game... Robot Masters, Mega Man Killers, X-Hunters, Double, Etc. Feels its likely for other Mavericks to join if they got Magma Dragoon and Bit also... Feel like more OGs is a must have.
Terra and Sunstar from the Stardroids (Mega Man V) and Duo from Mega Man 8 would've fit right in!
Also more ZX and Starforce representation than monster hunter representation

Even though DiVE is coming to a close online, your videos on it have been pretty much the history of the whole 4(?) Years of said game. The only question being if planned content that was ment to be in it like Hard versions of Chapter 19 & 20, would you still show them?
Thank God its closing. The roster is awesome, and I love all of these skins and variants. But the game was complete trash. Just one big grind after the next, all trying to strongarm you into rng microtransactions. The levels are so short (MMX stages are broken up into 4-5 sections) that you never get into a proper flow state like in the old games. Very little skill here, its mostly just about having big numbers. And that tutorial at the beginning is literally hours long, EVERY menu needs that girl to walk you through and demonstrate exactly how it works in excruciating detail.
That's the problem with most games like this. It's fun until you reach the limited of game as a freeloader until you have to make microtransaction on them.
The fact that they never made the red joker/black ace mode for geo is kinda sad

Seeing the offline games makes me think that it’s basically just a mega man x game with different changes from online. Sucks they removed PVP. Now I wonder if modding would work or not.
At least I had fun for a while. Especially some bosses and events.

You won't be able to, they are not coming for the Offline version.
People have been speculating on them being released as future DLC, but all we got officially was that they won't come.

Holy crap that Vergil Zero skin goes hard knowing that these 2 are the most top tier characters in Marvel and the most popular. Imagine if this was in an official game. There's so much love and dedication that Capcom fans hardly know about, I only know of it cause Capcom's Mega Man account is currently spamming with character trailers, shame that these crossover ones will go away. I'd love to see a X and Zero skin in DMC5 just for the hell of it.
Megaman X Dive IS an official game, but still. :X (hopefully the offline version gets all of the online content)

Say what you want about X Dive this game is a love letter to All megaman fans in some way. I love the X Series the most and seeing them put so much respect on Iris as a character and letting you play with the many alts of Zero we never got to play with freely is so cool. I ALWAYS wanted to use awakened zero from X5 and Absolute Zero on a game other than Command mission

What’s hilarious about the Zero / Vergil crossover character is that both Zero and Vergil are both voiced by different Power Rangers.

I made a joke a couple years ago about getting Dr. Light as Ryu, but I never thought that would be a real thing.
So, that's actually a reference to the first Mega Man X game; the secret capsule had Light as Ryu, and he taught you the Ryu fireball. You had to have collected every other collectable item in the game, beaten all the master robots, and done a weird set of actions repeatedly in a level that required you to die multiple times in order to get it.
Oddly, I found it on my own, because I was bored one day and just so happened to die the right way multiple times in the same continue.

You know, for a franchise that's known for having some awesome robots, this game sure had a strange fascination with the female characters instead. 💀 Hopefully mods for Offline will make it even better. Considering that this was a mobile game, I expect there to be a lot more interesting new characters even with unique animations, sounds, and weapons in the future. (I don't know anything about modding but I'd imagine it'll at least be a lot easier to mod for this than something like Mega Man 11 for example)
There's literally hundreds of characters you could add from the classic and X related series' alone btw, *hundreds.* And don't even get me started on stuff like non-canon games, cartoons, comics, scrapped bosses, alternate designs, even quite a few fan made ones from a good amount of fan games, etc.
The thing about modding is that unless you got talented model artists (3D Models) who know a thing about rigging and doing animations, etc, mods won't take off aside from stat changes and maybe imports if that kind of thing is possible.
Take Stellaris for example which is a highly moddable game on steam, most new graphical additions are imports and even then there aren't a lot of them. Most mods apply PNGs or something.
@@D4Skewer I think you underestimate just how much fans are willing to put extra content into games. Stuff like Mega Man Maker, Arena, and mods for 8-Bit Deathmatch are very apparent. Yes the rigging and modeling isn't gonna be the easiest thing to do no matter what, but those games and more have a lot more effort being put into them mechanically whereas with stages and characters in X DiVE they don't change much in terms of overall gameplay. I do not doubt that there can be enough Mega Man modders and developers out there that can at least replicate the simplistic style of X DiVE and with it working in a simpler mobile environment, again unlike Mega Man 11 which does have a lot more going for it from a mechanical and software standpoint. As for Stellaris, from what I can see that's because the game has a more specific niche. (Not just because it's a strategy game, but also because it's an indie title) It's not even fair to compare with Mega Man since it is a much bigger franchise with a diehard fanbase. To be honest I've never even heard of that game until you mentioned it, but thanks for bringing it to my attention!

I hope they add the Blade Armor and High Max both from X6, it is weird they added the Falcon, the Gaea, the Shadow and not the Blade. It's also weird we have Gate and not High Max.
I love how Magmard Dragoon is the only stage boss recreated here out of all the 8 stage bosses from every game. It's the favorite one, haha.
The attention to detail this game had was mesmerizing. I'm so glad Capcom played smart in releasing the Offline version; I think it's the closest we'll ever have to a new Megaman X game. Special kudos to you for referencing the official artworks and animations for the characters.
It also shame that you can't transfer your progress to the Offline version...everything that we have done gonna be wasted, and back to square one
this isnt actually the final roster, 1 because the american version of the game promised original content when they catch up with the taiwan version. and 2 because mmx dive offline, (if the global online version shuts down at some point) doesnt have the crossover characters. but great work man. awesome vid.

Yeah, it's kinda crazy how ZX only gets 3 unique reps and one of them is just the same character still. Prometheus and Grey shoulda made it in at some point over the years but ig they wouldn't be profitable enough.

Honestly, for all the OGs we're missing, i'm acutally pleasantly surprised at how good the designs for the original costumes and characters are in this game.
There was some acutal care and understanding of the series's aesthetic put here.

Megaman Starforce deserved more representation. In terms of characters there is Taurus Fire, Dark Phantom, Joker, Acid Ace. And if they just wanted more Megaman they could’ve used Red Joker and Black Ace forms

Quite an amazing roster (who would've thought we'd get Bit?) but it's too bad we missed some later characters like Red or Vile V or Lumine. Plus we never got Blade Armor X. Otherwise, superb!

What about Tribe on all from and Star Force all forms and Noise all forms? It's almost like they were forced to confront the fact that Geo is the Strongest and coolest Mega Man yet they decided to go with a bunch on non canon armors for old heads instead of backing the canonical badass 😂🤷♂️🤦🏻😂 shame that's a huge reason this game sucks ass lack of consistency, not to mention lacklustre gameplay.
Understandable you say that, but if you think about it the noise forms would probably just be re-skins of Geo. They may have also just had different stats for each form, but they would be unique adding the Tribe forms and the first three form he had

There's even one for Zero too (Absolute Zero)
I have to admit I'm honestly incredibly pissed that NONE of the collaboration characters will be included in the Offline version. Such a goddamn waste. The MonHun stuff and the DMC variants look pretty awesome. I stopped playing around the time Iris was getting released, so I missed out on a bunch of stuff.
Oh man I was so hyped seeing Geo and Sonia Mega Man Starforce. Such an underrated series. I was dancing and singing along to the theme with no shame.
For everyone in the comments, Dive is coming back, Megaman DiVe Offline will be coming out with everything that they had with the Online version, plus more costumes and charactors to play as, so this may be the final for Online, Offline will be adding more
hopefully they can add more as dlc for everything else that's missing, also would be fun to make more crossover armors as dlc as well
I doubt it will be much. I'm sure it's whatever they where working on before the shutdown.
If they are still adding characters to the game, they should add green biker dude. I think it would really complete the mega man X character lineup lol
