BROKEN JUDICIAL SYSTEM!!!! Freaking fix it. Law abiding citizens deserve to live safe and have happy lives.
Thank you Sheriff Judd. It’s saddening that you successively arrest these criminals, only for the government to set them free back to our communities.

It's never been any such thing, people who try to paint it that way are incredibly ignorant. Florida is and always will be a swing state, because where florida stands depends on the issue. As it should. States who blindly only vote based on party lines tend to blow themselves up with their own policies. Oregon is a good example. That ugly word gets thrown around so easily in today's America. We need to get back to dealing with REALITY. Unc. Sam endorses single parent homes, unwed parents, promiscuity, and incarceration. That hurts us ALL. But it is a lie to say Black folk aren't disproportionately suffering from continuously stepping into this trap. Malcolm X warned us about the white liberal.

This Sheriff is awesome. I've seen him on Press Conferences about other murders.
IT STARTS AT HOME! Parents need to know where their children are and who they are hanging out with. It's not impossible to do. My mother did it raising 2 young children after our father died of a heart attack in 1970 when I was 6 and brother was 4.
I commend the mother who kicked her son out, that could not have been easy. My mom would have done the same thing. I was raised by a pretty strick mother with the help of extended family members.
When I "acted" up, mom would call one of my aunts which was a fate worse than death for me. We were good kids though. Mom sacrificed everything for us. She worked at our church where we went to school and we'd be with her after school until time to go home.
It's heartbreaking to see young lives cut down, not only by murder but prison. Such a waste.

This was an honest and sincere breakdown of this case. These people are so young and reckless. And now their lives are completely over… at least their youth. I literally grew up in an environment filled with people like this. I can blame their parents but in the end it’s about personal choices. For whatever reasons, perhaps due to their own ignorance, my now-deceased parents didn’t appreciate me being a square. I was a very good multi-talented child who stayed out of trouble and made good grades in school without any real guidance from my parents. I look back now in amazement at how I was reminded and treated as if I was the ugly oddball soft kid in the family as well as on my block. Eventually I finished school and left home at eighteen for college before joining the military at twenty. During a ten to fifteen year span, my two much younger siblings fell into a life of poverty, crime, abuse and disillusion while still living with our parents. I lost contact with them due to whatever bull’ish my parents were on prior to their demises and deaths. Now I’m a successful businessman and married with children, I can’t reach back to my siblings even if I tried. I didn’t abandon them. They’ve abandoned me.

That Sheriff was an outstanding speaker who showed compassion and human kindness toward a death of a 15 yr old and I find it utterly amazing how he spoke in such a way that we could relate, no matter the circumstances he went about explaining the wrong in our society that a kid was shot and how all these kids played a role and why they ended up where they were in life, sad as it was this man with a heart was torn as if it were his own son, but still professional he tried to get the non listeners to listen to the story and it takes years of sad history like this one to see what a state we’re in that we have neglected to bring up our children with the love and care and proper dynamics of true family units that do bring about people with morals and a sense of right and wrong that is never crossed or questioned, it is a sad day for all of us and that Sheriff shows us the sad sad truth of just how bad we are failing in this example. I pride that man for how he portrayed the facts and more so on how he conducted himself to prove a point to us all. I’m sorry for all who suffered in this loss and I couldn’t be more proud of that man for being the example and telling it straight. I personally know the deceased grandmother. She grew up directly in front of my aunt in Carver Village (the projects) in Bartow. The grandmother started having kids early in life. As a kid, the grandmother was loud and obnoxious and her behavior was unacceptable. So, imagine what she taught her daughter who passed this behavior to her deceased grandson. Based on the lineage, this child was probably doomed before he was born.

It is something that most haters of police cry any time an arrest is made and they don't like it. Here is a sheriff that lays it all out there so the people, if they truly care, can better understand how and why things happened and how it was handled. Think about it. Next time you hear or read the paper and you're told, robberies up x%, violent crime down x% etc. you will know by this department's actions what they are physically doing to stop crime and maybe reassign officers where certain crimes are rising.

Was he out on bond or something? Judges don't "release someone" unless their conviction was overturned, they won an appeal, or they granted them a bond (before conviction). A judge doesn't just pull in a convict and say "I am letting you out now." So many people are acting like a judge can just say "I am not letting you out."
From what I gained, he got sentenced to a year, served it, and got out. That is not the same as "the judge let him out." Maybe on like contempt of court charges or something obscure that can happen (where they initially gave someone 30 days, they apologized, so they knock down the sentence to 2 days). Otherwise, I don't understand all these comments about "the judge let him out." That is not how the system works. If his sentence wasn't long enough that is one thing, but that is different from someone just being let out by a judge.
If he served his sentence, a judge can't then just say "I am not letting you leave." Habius corpus is a big part of our justice system.
