im about as hard as i can be on cops without delving into communist crazytalk.
being an officer is a hard job for hard men. there are a ton of failures happening in the relationship between police and people.
i think most of those problems stem from lack of prosecution which has created resentment between the people and the police. when the direction of the anger from both sides should be dircted towards the lawyers and politicians that put us here.
the sherrif leadership throughout central florida (not orange county) seem to be so competent that it OVERCOMES these nationwide problems.
it gives me hope for the future. the whole country should be using these sherrifs offices, specifically Grady Judd, as templates for how the police and public interact.

I am amazed at the amount of help spoken about. As a parent getting help for your kid is almost impossible. My daughter was in 6th grade when I tried reaching out to the school system. They ALL promise the world. However, school's hands are tied by lack of staffing and lack of money. If you're lucky, your child may get some help, but mostly you're going to get looked down upon. My daughter ended up on the streets and almost died twice from overdoses. I didn't know where she was for 9 months. PLEASE keep your kids safe and involved in all you can. I wish I could go back and make different decisions.

The problem is that since the inception of the "Office of Education" (1965) which got a name change to the "Department of Education" (1980), our education system has been controlled by humans that are "dues paying members" of the private non-profit corporation we know as the Democrat National Committee Inc (a.k.a DNC = Democrat Party). Or, they politically identify as Democrat voters. Being 66 myself, I have witnessed the change in our society. Our country's slow but purposeful and methodical decent into... what one can only describe as chaos, started in 1963 when our president John F. Kennedy was assassinated, and by individuals employed in our own government no less! . That year was also the same year after JFK was killed We The People's employees both elected and appointed by those elected, engaged in an unrighteous war that was predicated on the LIE! of a Globalist named Robert McNamara... who was the Secretary of Defense at that time, and lied to our Nation that the U.S.S Maddox was attacked by North Vietnam in the Gulf of Tonkin.
I'm a Disabled Vietnam Vet. His lie to satisfy his greed killed 53,000 Patriot Americans! And we've been going downhill since. Did you know that most of our Government's Offices Agencies didn't exist before the 1960s. Did you know that before the 1980s if a person worked for a government agency and a relative of that person applied for a job within that same agency. They had to take the Civil Servant Exam, and if they didn't pass it. They had to wait another year before they could take it again, and they got no special treatment. I come from a reasonably long line of Postal Employees. Most of which have passed away. When a discharged from the military I applied for a postal position. I took the exam and passed. My Mom worked at the Post office in the town where I grew up in. Her at the home I grew up in and me at an Apartment in the same town. When I was hired I was not allowed to work in the same Post Office as my mother. The reason... their could be a conflict of interest, and favoritism! And that was fair! That is no longer the case, and in some of our Government Agencies whole families are employed. That always causes a conflict of interest and favoritism! And look at the pain and suffering the Democrats have inflicted on our children from all the corruption they've engaged in.

This sheriff sure gave a whole lot of grace to the victim as well as his mother. Obviously, the mother was aware of the fact that her son was not going to school, had been arrested multiple times, was in a gang, and probably goes out at night. While I feel for her, all of that is where the problem starts.
There is no easy answer. But at least as a starting point, it would be valuable to teach human psychology all throughout school. Students could learn about relationships, personality types, mental health, self esteem, etc. In households like this, the child doesn't have much of a chance.

What is she supposed to do? She has a baby at home and I bet she works. How is she supposed to force him to go to school if she isn’t able to literally walk him there herself? He probably waits for her to go to sleep to go be a menace. She can’t stay awake 24 hours a day. She could kick him out but that won’t stop him from being a criminal it just stops him from being her responsibility. What do you want her to do with a teenage boy likely taller and way stronger than her who’s clearly hiding his daily schedule from her. This is around the same age as when my best friends son asked his mom and dad if he could move from his mom's house to his dad's for the first time. Boys that age need an older male to be a father (figure or a mentor) to really get the positive male influences in their life for them to start taking in to emulate as they are becoming young men.
If their father is absent, the streets are full of people with bad intentions of all kinds that will fill that void, leading them astray.
My parents were married but I didn't get the time in with my dad and I ended up straying for years. My dad was an amazing man and was working hard and providing our family. He lost his parents by 21 or 22 and didn't have anyone to fall back on if we were in need of anything, so I understand why he wasn't around for so much, but he was always taking care of us when he was not home. He didn't even have indoor plumbing growing up, so he knew what being poor was like and he made sure we were better off than he was.
I'm almost 50 now and I miss him dearly. He would be so happy seeing the kind of wife I've become and how family oriented I am. I miss him so very much.
Parents, please take care of your children. They need you more than you know. 💛

I'm not sure it's fair to say that kids go wrong so easily. Most of the time, a lot has happened by the time a kid joins a gang. Usually, the child is left unsupervised regularly, does not have strong parental guidance, and is not raised with appropriate influence/consequences. While once in a while a child can go astray, the vast majority of the time, the child is a product of their environment.

Boys, young men, we have to quit killing our friends, our siblings friends, perhaps one day family, and for absolutely nothing they are losing their lives. Your teens, stay away from these bad seeds & get out as soon as you can of the environment, if you truly want whatever life has to offer. So sad for this mama who’s trying to save her son. And this is why I always make comments concerning parrots. They're good parents who really care about their kids and what they're doing and then there are bad parents that just don't! He wasn't even in school like he was supposed to be. Where's his probation officer? His mom is taking care of another child and can't take care of the one she's got. See.. this is a problem. See what being in a gang will do to you?
