Damn this is an amazing playthrough. This has to be the hardest platformer ever made and I think the furthest I ever made it when I was a kid was the boss at the 46 minute mark
On the REAL console, my best run was AREA 3 STAGE x. Anyway, I'm now playing this game through an emulator. At this very moment, I reached area 8 stage 2, and I only managed to do this by saving at every "safe" checkpoint. It would be impossible if I tried to make it through all of this on the console. THIS IS JUST FRICKIN' HARD, MAN!!!!! NES games are painful but even so, I love and respect them and also the creators of these beautiful games.

***** Can't believe it. I don't remember of such a thing existing in this game even if I played for so many years. I do remember I found an egg containing something at the end of level 1-1 but don't remember about that bee... I just replayed the level and found out that there IS a bee there afterall. After 15 years from my very first run of this game, I just learned something new :)):)):)). So the thing is, after you lose all your lives, you are returned to title screen, you press down an arrow key and then press start. You may start the world you were game over in. Very cool.
@@bogroman13 Yes, the bee allows you to continue. I saw it in a book at a bookstore about secret cheat codes. Even with the bee 🐝 I could not finish the game. It was so hard!
Jerrold Lynch Another lesson is when you're skateboarding on top of clouds nearby an island, be careful of the octopuses that jump from below. Game is deep.

Yo lo tenía en Family Game y lo gasté pobre juego. Llegaba a la final pero había tres arañas en columna en la última pantalla que sin hacha no podías pasarla. Una lastima pero no lo pude descular nunca a esa pantalla. Lo hacia con los ojos cerrados. El flaco acá o la mina siempre está con fueguito y eso no era así. La parte más dificil era el hielo para mi.
