Just picked up a 2003 Denim Blue Honda Metro! Can I buy the front fender and Front "Honda" plate from you? I cannot find them on eBay or in US-based or Japanese-based parts stores. It would be a huge help. Loved the video!
im curious, on why you used a met front frame? is it shorter? or was just a easy find? did you install the met gears in the ruckus? i have a 2024 ruckus, but the thing is SOOOO.. slow, im used to gy6 50's that can be modified slightly to get over 50mph cruising. i bought a met back half for the gears, but im afraid the gears will make it slower? being under powered.
Becuase I picked up the Metro for $150 (this was explained in the video...). I did not install the Metro gears, as this engine is not going to be on the bike for much longer.
@@MikesMiniMotors well it looks good, and was very informative. im new to the ruckus met stuff. have you used met gears on a ruckus? did it increase speed or just slow it down?
@Clem_I_Am Thanks! I haven’t played with the Met gears in a Ruckus GET yet. I know that they increase top end a bit, but that’s usually at the cost of acceleration. That’s the main reason I haven’t.
I’m not sure who makes the little header, as it was on the bike when I got it. It is just a small Briggs and Stratton screw in muffler on the end of the pipe though.
so can i do this with electric ruckus? and keep the original metro wheels? i like to convert my metro to electric but having hard time finding a kit for it.
No, you wouldn't be able to use an electric ruckus converstion on the Metro (or at least without custom work). The rear frames are completely different.
Heck yaa!! Loved that vid
Thanks, Matt!
Hi, thanks for the video! Are the engine mounts the same on the two scooters?
The engine hanger mount I believe is the same, but the rear frames are different.
hell yeah mike! this was awesome! I didnt know the front frame was exactly the same between the two!
Glad you liked it!!
Nice job buddy👍👍
Thanks!
Dang Mike. That is a great looking bike. The colors really go together.
Thanks, Lag! I'm happy with the way the color turned out too!
I remember jcrabb13 doing this back in the OG TR days, the ppl's champ!
👍👍👍
Would love if you did a MetRuck build!
My black Metro will become a MetRuck. Just need the $$$ to do it.

Unfortunately, I already offloaded all the old Metro parts. Have you checked Partzilla for what you need?

What exhaust is that? I kinda like the sound.

@@MikesMiniMotors Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Of course! 😁
