    FINALLY - someone finally showed a video of them actually sitting on the bike so we can better judge how we might fit on it, too. So many guys just show us the road as they go cruising around their city. That tells us a lot about where they live but not much about how we might enjoy the bike they're on.

  • @2RCPRODUCTIONS

    The one major pain on these is fuel pump and non drainable carb along with ethanol in the gas. If they sit any length make sure you run them. The carb will gunk up fast when sitting. Most carbs have a screw drain to flush the bowl or empty. The gas sits in this bowl. Fuel pump is needed because the tank sits under the floor boards. I am on the 3rd fuel pump on our 16 with only 600 miles on the bike. If you use it frequently and are in a good climate where you can drive all year long you probably won’t have these issues. Get gas without ethanol if you can ethanol is terrible for these. Getting some off road small engine high octane non ethanol fuel is great but sometimes hard to come by. Having said all that these bikes are awesome!! They could benefit tremendously from fuel injection which would eliminate fuel issues snd get rid of the auto choke which is also touchy. The ruckus is not a fan of cold climates they love it warm!

    unless you bought it in Europe it's most likely not fuel injected and just carbureted.

    How tall is it to the top of the handle bars (not the mirrors) from the ground? Just bought two of them & have to pick them up in a Ford Explorer. (taking a 60" wide 500 lbs hitch mounted rack in case they both don't fit inside.) Thanks.

    Honda should stop designating model years for the Ruckus pretty much nothing has changed since her release in 2002 lol. I think it's time for Honda to update the Ruckus a bit with a set of disk breaks LED headlights tail lights and signals. Sure it would end up costing more but I would be willing to pay a bit more for that. They also need to change use a 2 stroke engine instead of a 4 stroke. Sure you're losing a bit of fuel economy but you're gaining more power and top end there.

      @zeppast 10 місяців тому

      @@ValkyrieRiderIPT That's true but l still think the old Ruckus could use an upgrade. l think it comes down to the lack of competition. There really aren't many large brands that manufacture 50cc bikes anymore. Who else Genuine and the rest are all Chinese brands. Honda really has 0 incentive unfortunately.

    • @ValkyrieRiderIPT
      @ValkyrieRiderIPT 10 місяців тому +2

      @@zeppast The Ruckus isn't a touring bike. It's designed for young 1st bike riders. 50cc is plenty big for kids under 15. For adults, it's perfect for putting around town like the Honda Cub was. If you're wanting to customize or boost the power, there's aftermarket parts available.

      I agree - at this point they should have easily been able to stick a 125 in there especially seeing most folks rip out the GET motor and stick a GY6 in there now. I have one of each and the stock motor is much more reliable but much less fun.

      If you could get 10km/hr more out of the 49cc I'd be content.
      66km is about as much as I can achieve when 70-75 would be a gamechanger.
      But 125cc makes no sense since you're stepping on Grom territory. But the main issue is anything over 49cc and it would require a motorcycle license.
