Mike's Mini Motors
United States
Приєднався 27 тра 2020
Hi I'm Mike. I love to work on projects in my garage and I had a few friend recommend that I start a UA-cam channel so others can see the fun projects I am working on and to help others with builds of their own. I love to learn new skills while working on all these projects. I learn my different skills by jumping in head-first and learning by doing. Some examples are Aluminum Anodizing, Powder Coating, Welding, and Metal Fabrication. I will do my best to show how to do this skills as I learn them, so that maybe other can maybe learn alongside me. My goal is to show people that even though you may not have a certain skill, if you do not step out of your comfort zone and try it, you will never have that skill. With the skills I have picked up, I use them to build all these fun vehicles.
Projects so far:
- Honda Ruckus GY6 swaps
- Mega Moto / Monster Moto mini bikes
- Custom Go Karts
- CFMoto Z6-EX Side by Side
- Suzuki Carry (Japanese Kei Mini Truck)
- Cross Kart
- And more to come!

Hey man hopefully you see this I’m working on my mm80 right now and I really don’t know what to get can you link the parts you used?
Like chain length and how many teeth are on the sprocket and clutch
Hey there! I used a 12T #35 clutch similar to this one for a Predator 212: amzn.to/4fT5VS7 I used a split sprocket adapter for the rear (makes gearing changes easy): amzn.to/4iclZQF I don't remember for sure, but I believe I am running a 59 or 60 tooth gear: amzn.to/4i7jQFM I purchased this 10ft #35 chain: amzn.to/4iiMyDV You need a chain breaker and you cut the chain down to the size that fits your bike: amzn.to/4fRUU3H Hopefully that helps!
I like your video bro❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks! I appreciate the love. 👍
Is this the only stretch kit on the market for these? Looking to pick one up tomorrow, very excited but I don’t see a ton of aftermarket support like the ruckus has (understandable haha)
Yes, I believe this is the only stretch kit available. I sell an LED headlight kit for these as well. DM me on IG if that's anything you are interested in.
hey man what spacers did you use on the engine plate? I'm having clearance issues
I believe they were 1/2", if I remember correctly.
im curious, on why you used a met front frame? is it shorter? or was just a easy find? did you install the met gears in the ruckus? i have a 2024 ruckus, but the thing is SOOOO.. slow, im used to gy6 50's that can be modified slightly to get over 50mph cruising. i bought a met back half for the gears, but im afraid the gears will make it slower? being under powered.
Becuase I picked up the Metro for $150 (this was explained in the video...). I did not install the Metro gears, as this engine is not going to be on the bike for much longer.
@@MikesMiniMotors well it looks good, and was very informative. im new to the ruckus met stuff. have you used met gears on a ruckus? did it increase speed or just slow it down?
@Clem_I_Am Thanks! I haven’t played with the Met gears in a Ruckus GET yet. I know that they increase top end a bit, but that’s usually at the cost of acceleration. That’s the main reason I haven’t.
So how does the air injection system respond to being removed from the stock muffler/catalytic converter combo? I know it's completely unmonitored. The point of it, for those that find this down the road and are wondering the same, is to inject clean, cold air into the catalyst media that's housed inside the stock muffler.
The new muffler did not have a connection point for it, so I deleted it. I haven't noticed any issues with it gone.
@ the only new mufflers that I think would is the NR Magic with the oasis catalyst and even then I think you need to ask them to build it like that. The systems unmonitored as far as I can tell by the wiring schematics.
How tall are you because I’m 6 foot an idk if I’ll fit
I’m 5’8”. It’s not really uncomfortable to ride, but it’s not the most comfortable either.
Where can you buy these....now?
From the same place. The link is in the video description.
All you need is a wide rim and wheels with the stretch kit and it would be perfect
I had thought abut going fatty on the rear, but I like how the bike handles with the skinny setup. So I got some JDM wheels to put on it, I just need to do it.
@ for sure! I’d love to see the video💪🏾🇺🇸
Do you know by chance if you can put a 150cc long case gy6 after getting that stretch kit?
I'm not sure if it would work for that or not, I have not tried it.
@ thanks
VERY NICELY DONE. TELL ME, WILL THIS 9.5 INCH STRETCH ACCOMODATE THE GY6 MOTOR? OF MUST IT BE STRETCHED THE FULL 12 INCHES OR SO IN ORDER TO FIT PROPERLY? BTW. ITS GREAT TO HEAR THIS MINOR STRETCH INPROVES HOW THE BIKE RIDES OVERALL. ONE MORE QUESTION. WHERE DID YOU GET THE ZIPPER STORAGE UNIT NEAR THE GAS TANK? THANK YOU FRANK
The stretch may work for a GY6 with modification, but I have no idea if it would. I would just get a GY6 mount. I think the Mojo Customs mount can be an 8 inch stretch at the shortest and you can get them for skinny, 7in & 8in offsets. mojo-customs.com/product/mojo-bolt-on-fatty-mount-2/ I got the storage bag off of Amazon. amzn.to/4ho4lZD
What exhaust is that? I kinda like the sound.
I’m not sure who makes the little header, as it was on the bike when I got it. It is just a small Briggs and Stratton screw in muffler on the end of the pipe though.
@@MikesMiniMotors Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Of course! 😁
When the starter clutch goes bad it makes the engine hard to turn over.
Or it won't start at all. 😀
need more!!!
I’ll have some suspension stuff coming next.
Great seeing everyone!
💯💯💯
I appreciate the knowledge I made 200$ in 15min thank u
Fantastic!
Looks fun 😮
It’s a blast!!!
Not you
What?
Thinkin, too much naggin and not enough gaggin
I checked my pump like this disconnected from carb. It is squirting out rhythmically with the tick. Not sure it’s strong enough. My vacuum line to carb had popped off. I put it back but there’s still no power but it’ll start.
If your pump is pumping, I would look at your carb then. Has it been disassembled and cleaned recently? Is you card jetted properly?
@@MikesMiniMotors I cleansed out the carb and jets. Replaced fuel filter. Ordered fuel pump, coil and spark plug, and air filter. Hopefully that’ll fix it. It start but bogs when I use accelerator. I cleaned the vacuum diaphragm on carb and inside. If I plug the other end of the vacuum hole from Carb with me finger, it’ll rev up. So I think it’s the vacuum in the old air filter and worn out air box.
@zackaryfootit2853 sounds like it could be a vacuum leak too. I’d check all your hoses are connected and not cracked.
@@MikesMiniMotors yes did that and replaced some hoses with one from the parts ruckus that were better. Also swapped out the old dirty gas tank for a cleaner one.
so can i do this with electric ruckus? and keep the original metro wheels? i like to convert my metro to electric but having hard time finding a kit for it.
No, you wouldn't be able to use an electric ruckus converstion on the Metro (or at least without custom work). The rear frames are completely different.
Where can I buy one of those radiator covers love them
DM me on IG. instagram.com/mikes.mini.motors/
Wish to have one for my gy6😢😢😢
You’ll love it, if you get one!
Where did you buy the adapter plate for the engine? I’m in a similar situation where my engine won’t fit without that adapter plate.
I got it from GoPowerSports. www.gopowersports.com/fully-adjustable-motor-plate-small-block/
Okay I have a predator 212 with a after market carb and it makes the engine not fit should I cut the frame a little and also is a #35 chain the original chain that was with that because idk what size clutch to get.
I wouldn't cu thte frame, uness you plan to reinforce it again. You may need to look at how you are mounting your engine. I believe the original chain was #35, but I don't remember for sure.
Thanks for the video! Sikk exhaust! Can you share what it is and where I can get one?
I got it from WeBike in Japan. japan.webike.net/products/2024509.html
Bring it down to Colorado and let's big bore that shit.
I like the look! Sweet Install!
Thanks! 👍
Ahhhhh yeahhhh!!!!
👍👍👍
hell yeah mike!
😁😁😁
Do you have any issue with knee clearance with the bars that low?
I never had any issues. When Brandon rode with them on, he said he would have rotated them one more spot out if it was his bike.
Nice👍👍
Thanks! 😊
Hi guys cuestion i need to find out where i can get those parts for my motorcicle or mini cicle please i need your help am from another country ECUADOR but i can acquired there for bring here
The link to purchase it is the description.
What size bolt is that for the juggernaut to go onto the shaft? Mine didn't come with one and I'm not using a torque convertor so I never had a bolt.
It depends on your engine. On the Predator 212's that I use, I believe it is a 5/16” - 24 bolt.
hello! quick question, i have everything installed but the brake light is constantly on, lets say i turn the key, it’ll do the nice start up light show and then go into brake flashing mode and if i use a turning signal it’ll override it and show the turning signal and once i flick it off it’ll go back to brake light flashing, when i hold the brakes nothing happens and it keeps flashing, any idea how to solve this?
Are your brake light and running light wired backwards? Sounds like a possibility. I would start checking your wiring with a multimeter.
@@MikesMiniMotors what exactly should i be checking for? sorry i’m new to electrical and i swapped them out for each other and it doesn’t turn on at that point, if i leave the brake light unplugged the running light is perfect but if i tap the brake light onto where it’s supposed to go it starts flashing how it’s supposed to but im not even pressing the brakes nothing happens handle so am i missing a relay or something?
also, i’m not coming from factory i had bought the bike with an aftermarket taillight with similar sequential and brake light flashing function and it was fine
Do you sell the live axles?
I do not sell them. I got mine from gopowersports.com
Hi, thanks for the video! Are the engine mounts the same on the two scooters?
The engine hanger mount I believe is the same, but the rear frames are different.
I was there
Nice! Hope you enjoyed it!
❤❤❤
😁😁😁
i just bought the same thing a probuild pulser system whats that black piece on the fuel line after the fuel pump? i see you got the filter before the pump. and where do have your pulser box mounted?
The black piece is the OEM check valve. I don’t have the pulsar unit, as my fuel pump is ran off the OEM ECU.
Where did you get the hydraulic brake adapter for the monster motto bro..
I got it from GoPowerSports. Brake Assembly - www.gopowersports.com/minibike-hydraulic-brake-system/ Bracket - www.gopowersports.com/mini-bike-hydraulic-brake-caliper-bracket/
is a flashing brake light legal? dont want to spend money just to get pulled over
You would have to check with your local laws to know if it’s an issue or not. So far I haven’t had any issues in Montana, Washington, Oregon, and California. I’m not saying it’s legal in any of the areas, just I haven’t had any problems.
@@MikesMiniMotors does it stop flashing and go solid or is it just continuous flashing?
Continuously flashes while the brake is held.
Just picked up a 2003 Denim Blue Honda Metro! Can I buy the front fender and Front "Honda" plate from you? I cannot find them on eBay or in US-based or Japanese-based parts stores. It would be a huge help. Loved the video!
Unfortunately, I already offloaded all the old Metro parts. Have you checked Partzilla for what you need?
Good video
Thank you! 😁
Very nice very nice. I wish I could get my hands on good 2 stroke.
Thanks! I got lucky on this one!
@@MikesMiniMotors Man I thought I got lucky the other day when I picked up a 139qmb with 50 miles on it for $100. $100 for that Honda is a steal. I can't wait to see what you do with this bike.
Dope, I can't wait to see how you customize this beast.
Thanks! Me too! 😂
Great video! Looks sweet with the stretch!
Thanks!
Honda should recall all of these. There junk!
They are way better then cheap knock-offs or crappy vacuum pumps...
@@MikesMiniMotors this dudes an idiot
Who wants a scooter that needs new fuel pumps all the time. F==k that.
Of all my bike and as long as I have had them, I have to replace only this one... 😄😄😄
