@@dragonrevel6953So, tell me how spending 800 euros on a different exhaust on a 25.000 euros car is the same as spending 40.000 euros on a complete, different car. I really don't understand the math here

Difficult question to answer. Officially yes, but you are voiding the warranty on the exhaust. However as the exhaust is replaced, you then get a Milltek warranty in its place.
Have any issues with the valve closed? Like cruise control on and exhaust sounds like its flutterin stuttering only when valves closed at gentle steady throttle
katlego makhubedu Amazed to hear so many counties that used to get the MK7 are not getting the MK8 as I was under the impression this car was for a more global market!
Giorgos Tsiaras I’ll paste my answer from another comment :) It isn’t warranty friendly. However you do get a Milltek warranty on the exhaust and a GPF back is very unlikely to be the cause of any issues upstream and therefore manufacturer warranty should remain in tact for the rest of the vehicle, unless they can prove the exhaust caused a fault. Slight risk, but it’s minimal IMO.
Wicked thanks, just checked it out and think I’m going to treat myself to a set, do they come with the British standard mark on the bottom right corner though?
Brilliant thanks for the info, been looking at quite a few sites but they don’t print the British standard on the plate, meaning it’s not legal/legit so thanks for clearing that up!

Possibly with it being free-er flowing. But probably nothing noticeable. This car made very strong figures on the dyno (there are videos of it on the channel :))
Hi Fella, yeah I can see what you mean about the exhaust, when went to get your back section fitted did they give you any idea when the full exhaust system will be available?
Stephen Heyes Hi there! I didn’t ask and they gave no indication. I’m not sure if the GPF will make life difficult for them or not. Presumably it can’t just be removed for MOT reasons. Either way, you’ll need a map for a full exhaust as development for ‘stage 1’ hasn’t really been completed yet. Gonna be a good few months before we see a ‘stage 2’ tune, exhaust and intercooler released I think!
Don't think there was much of a weight reduction, and no I'm hoping to leave it in place if I can! I'm intrigued as to whether or not exhaust manufacturers can develop a 'sports GPF' or similar :)
Philz 11 months late to respond. My bad. The car is mine, so fortunately I don’t need to worry about GMFV. Warranty is impacted, but you are replacing the item impacted with Milltek, which has its own warranty 👍🏼
That's strange, you don't need a remap. Check the connection to the module on the valve - seems to be a common culprit for faults after changing the exhaust.
Hey, had my exhaust fitted by a milltek dealer garage. Love the exhaust and its tone. Just wondered if you experienced any sort of rumbling type vibration from the rear of the car after fitted? Can someone help me out? Why is it that a system like that pops and bangs with no harm to the cat yet a pop and bang map so say destroys the cat as I've read on forums?
On my 16 fiesta st i have the cobb stage 2. Still have the cat but straight piped the muffler and resonator. Sounds as good or better than any exhaust system, cost less than $100 and it pops and bangs pretty good on downshift especially or when hard on the throttle.
Nice vid. Look forward to the A\B comparison. Went for the polo but always good to see what’s going on with the competition. Milltek are at the top of their game. They make really decent performance exhausts. Not over the top, too loud and massive boy racer exhaust. This exhaust is perfect 👌
Graham Reid Yeah miltek are Sh💩T ! I don’t believe an Aftermarket Exhaust actually does anything for performance I think it’s a placebo effect from the noise , if anything you could loose a little bit of performance , Or it Moves the powerband around so yes it Might give a few extra bhp if your Lucky but it’s all at the Top end and you lose a Bit Low/Mid Rpm Grunt. Just to gain a Few bhp . I don’t think on its own it’s worth bothering with.
No downpipe install. Awesome so youve spent all that money for no extra performance just some noise. Downpipe being oem, is still restrictive so it doesnt matter how free flowing the rest of the system is.
Lets disregard the sound. The fiesta is built on a budget the standard exhaust is made from pretty average steel. If you are intending to sell the car before it runs out of warranty then sure keeping the lower quality one does not matter.
