    Your reviews are the best I've seen. I'm new to the idea of hearing aids at 71, so still investigating the options and you have been the most helpful. I do like the Jabra models and have taken their online test.

    Hi!
    First-time hearing aid user here at 69 yrs old and I did a lot 7:55 of online and in office study, prior to selecting and buying my Jabra Enhance 20’s.
    Bought them at Costco for $1600 with full tech support available and a 180 day FULL return policy, if I am not satisfied.
    Have had them on now for 2 weeks +, and have been back for one full in-office adjustment.
    Being a first time user, I had major adjustments to get used to as to what I was now hearing. Headaches every day during the first 10 days before getting used to them.
    The product is actually very powerful and has many options, which usually is a good thing but can be overwhelming as well.
    I still am trying to find the optimal one-time setting for the majority of my wear time and then use all the additional available settings for specific usages, like restaurants etc.
    Bottom line for me is that they are very good hearing aids but take some time to figure out!

      I too ordered the 200s w premium. Going on my 2nd week. Pretty good so far but sooo many options between the domes, settings, volume etc. Not sure if right for mod to severe which is what that audio guy at Sam's told me. Feel it does help lots though. Great battery life and very comfy. Can't wait for my docs appt on zoom on the 15th.

    Thank you so very much for your video. My dad lost his hearing from his time in the military. He’s 79. He has struggled to get the type of hearing aids he needs to have a better quality of life. I really think this product will help him. He’s very reluctant of new technology, but, excited at the potential Jabra has to offer. Thank you again for this review.

    Lots of great reviews for this product, but not so many reviews other than yours available for the Sennheiser All-Day Clear. Seems to me that the biggest downside of the Sennheiser for me is that self-tuning using the app would be much less precise than using a profile determined by Jabra's on line audiology test (or Costco's with the new Jabra Pro 20). Would that difference disappear if I purchased the option from Sennheiser to visit one of their designated audiologists? If so, do you have a recommendation between All-Day Clear, Pro 20, and the Sennheisers? (I'm an Android user, but I think the only downside to the Jabras is talking on phone calls, right?). Thanks!

    I have had my Jabra 100 for 8 months now and have recommended them to a few people, one of which I know purchased a set. I bought the three year support package.
    Customer service & support has been excellent from day one and I am glad I had them professionally set up. I had about 3 adjustments the first few months. I did request and was Fedex'd longer cables so the guard wouldn't flop out of my ear. I also had a defective cable that was diagnosed quickly & replaced for free in a heartbeat.
    I took the time to trial the various domes to find the best fit for each ear, which are actually two different ones.
    I change my wax filters on a monthly basis.
    Cons? Bluetooth connectivity to my iPhone 13 mini is hit & miss to both ears, especially the right. Jabre support says to quit the app & restart iPhone. It works but... When listening to the iPhone podcast or music I have to keep the phone in front of me. If i stick it in my pocket or to the side, it cuts out one side.

    I have the Hands Enhance Select 50R. They are rechargeable, but did not come with a rechargeable case. I drop them in the recharging stand next to where I sleep at night and they hold the charge all day.
    I've used other brands of OTC hearing aids, the BOSE being my go to brand until I tried these. I like how they pair to my phone and how I'm able to listen to an audible book and hear calls through them.
    I have had a teleconference with Habra and found it to be a good use of my time. I have a follow up with them in a couple weeks.

    Android user here starting my journey. 55 year old and wanted to future proof with this type of investment since many new ones coming out almost every week! Looking for Aurocast ready, Bluetooth streaming Rechargeable and the Lucid Talas have my attention die to sleek profile and hits most of what I'm looking for. Saw you wrote a pice on them but waiting for your YT review! Still on the fence if behind the ear or self fit but not many options for Android with the latter. Sorry for long comment. Keep up the great work and enjoy your reviews.

      We'd recommend these over Tala for all-day comfort and general sound quality. Orka could be a good option for Android connection. Did a full Orka review a couple of weeks ago! Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the helpful video. I'm wondering what's the typical experience with the Enhance Select models and occlusion effects? And can these models models be fitted with open domes?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  Місяць тому

      Glad you found the video helpful! All of the standard Jabra enhance models come with a traditional receiver in canal style that typically allows for a very open fit and feel I personally do not feel any occlusion when wearing this type of device. Your devices will arrive with several different dome tips in the box. You can play with the various options to find what works best for you.

    I have a few weeks left of my trial. I have an older iphone SE & have had issues with the phone ringing/not ringing in my hearing aids. Also issues with calls fading in & out. I'm not sure if this is due to the phone or the hearing aids. Anyone else have similar issues like this? I have the Select 200.

    Thanks for blasting the music. Folks who watch this video likely can’t hear so need the volume up to get your message. It’s not the time for you to turn speech down and crank the music.

    Which range (high, mid, low) of hearing loss does the Jabra work well for? Thank you.

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  23 дні тому

      Hi Jabra hearing aids are fully customized to your loss so in theory they could do any of those frequencies. This is one of the advantages to the Jabra offering. 😊

    I've had my Jabra Enhance Select 200 hearing aids about a week now and am very happy with them. Seniors with a Medicare Advantage Plan should check the benefits of their Plan to see if hearing aids are covered. My Advantage Plan totally covered the cost of my Jabra hearing aids.

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  5 місяців тому

      So glad to hear this! How did you go about checking your Medicare benefits?

    • @robertnoblitt518
      @robertnoblitt518 5 місяців тому

      @@HearSoundly I signed onto the website for my UnitedHealthcare Advantage Plan and saw that my Hearing coverage includes a $2,000 allowance every 3 years for hearing aids. I uploaded the results of my latest hearing test, and UHC confirmed that hearing aids were appropriate for me, and enabled me to make a Zoom appointment with a Jabra audiologist. Other Medicare Advantage plans may or may not include a hearing aid allowance, and, to my knowledge, this is not a benefit of straight Medicare.

    I have a question maybe you can help with. I just purchased (literally today) the Jabra Enhance Select 300s. I don’t really need any of the accessories they have available. However, I really want a remote control so that I don’t have to take out my phone every time I want to adjust the volume, etc. some of the remotes I’ve seen that fit on a key chain like a key fob are awesome. Jabra doesn’t seem to make a remote control that isn’t bundled with its accessory phone clip. I don’t need the accessory phone clip - it’s intended for use with older Android phones and I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Are there any remotes on the market that would be compatible with my Jabra Enhance Select 300s? I see that Resound makes one but it doesn’t indicate if it’s compatible with Jabra devices. Thanks for your help!

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  4 місяці тому

      Good question! In theory the ReSound remotes should work but you will need to confirm with Jabra that they can sync the devices up. I’m guessing they might be able to do it if you ask!

    What is missing from android phones that you need to keep the phone near your mouth to us its mic for phone calls. I notice this and my provider didn't know anything about it and couldn't answer my questions about it.

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  5 місяців тому +1

      hearing aids connect to Android phones using something called the ASHA protocol. ASHA just didn't build in the capacity to handle outbound sound. I'm assuming they wanted to get something out quickly and made the tradeoff. Apple uses a different system, called MFI (made for iPhone) which does include that capability. It really comes back to Google and Apple on this front.

    How do the work with tinnitus?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  4 місяці тому

      Hi Chris! Jabra doesn't have a white noise feature built in, but in general hearing aids tend to help with tinnitus by offering more sound to your ears. That lack of sound is one of the reasons for tinnitus.

    I've had the Select for about 2 months. I'm a first-time user of hearing aids. Hearing in my right ear fell to about 30% following an illness and my left is at about 60%. I have no basis of comparison. No kidding, it's a learning curve, and you have to wear them to find out where they are insufficient. Once I maxed out the app's ability's I called for on-line adjustments. They did a good, not great job adjusting to suit my needs. Not great because they can't hear what I'm hearing and at some point the English language isn't enough. But, I'm happy and I can ask for further fine-tuning... a huge plus.
    After only a week I forgot they were in my ears, they are that comfortable even when we were fiddling with programming.
    There are shortcomings in the software... If you set the volume in each ear differently in the app, and then use the volume up or down buttons in the device, both reset to the same volume. Also, all memory is lost in the devices and the app during charging, a major oversight. But, they don't cost $4 or $5K either.

      Good point. Lively is actually the company that started just a few years ago. They were bought by Jabra's parent company and then rolled under the Jabra name. Might not have been clear in the video. :)
