That marvellous melodious voice. How weve been so thankful to.our loving. God. Jehovah for allowing us to listen enjoy his voice. Beautiful. So precious.!! So pleased youre knowing what he suffered. On his deathbed .. flooded with inflammation of his colon and heart, total agony and sweat dripping after hours of performance in a weakened state, his organs literally failing him onstage .. and gives such a top career performance as this on a song like this it’s drop-dead incredible. Gobs of God-given talent who kept getting better and better, even as he was about to meet his maker...
Agreed, you can tell the downers are really screwing with him, especially his speech, but what's funny in these first two minutes he's stuttering, mumbling, rambling that it's hard to hear, but soon as he starts singing that all disappears, his voice gets stronger till he's hitting opera style singing and with the falsetto at the end. What a transformation, it's like going from a car wreck to witnessing a beautiful sunset on a tropical island
So hard to watch. He was so sick & in pain, but still had his sense of humor, his voice never failed him and his love for his fans! God rest sweet soul! Our Elvis! We got you're back here. TCB ⚡❤
I have to say that I loved being at Graceland and seeing his home, first we were at the house in Tupelo where he lived in his early years, he was born there!!! I don't regret for a second that I was there, or that I stood at his grave site and said out loud that this is for the humanitarian Elvis/person/man and then I gave him a military salute, the others there just looked at me and asked if I didn't like his music. So I told them that he was clearly one of the best singers and artists ever, but I loved his big heart more, he helped so many people without getting credit for it, he didn't want the credit of helping others, he did it out of love and respect and to me that is what true charity is all about… How much do people know about Elvis charity side, he helped start St Judes (one of the best hospitals at curing cancer), he paid for over half of the building of the Memorial after Pearl Harbour, he was the one that helped people to take the vaccin for Polio, how, well by taking the first injection in a tv program. He gave away I think that it was 25 houses, or more to strangers, he gave away over 200 cars to strangers, he gave away money and other stuff to strangers, not to get into newspapers, no he hid thoose actions from journalists... One of the things he did that not many knows about is something to learn in this video: ua-cam.com/video/8PB9L9F4qMk/v-deo.html&lc=UgwPuNzk8yRGsYfDHa94AaABAg
Elvis, Whitney and Judy Garland. Three of the greatest singers AND voices of all time, all brought down by personal pain and drug addiction. Garland died at 47, Elvis was 42 and Whitney, 48. You're a lovely spirit, Sarah.
@@SarahDengler I agree. He had to know because he sang what he felt, his struggles, which were many. His emotion came pouring out, exhaustion, could barely breathe or stand. My husband & I watched the new "Elvis" movie last night. It ends with this clip of Elvis singing "Unchained Melody". I find it very heartbreaking watching this performance as Elvis was not well at all. But he still had a great voice right to the end.
This was the one and only time I saw Elvis in person. This took place in Rapid City, SD, one and a half weeks before his death. He could barely remember the band members names, which was so sad. CBS filmed this whole show and even though he struggled through the introductions, his voice was absolutely immaculate. When he sang Dixie, everyone started crying. I now live in Arkansas and after all these years I totally understand the south part of the United States and what that meant to him.
I was born & raised in Rapid City, and my mother & 2 sisters were at this concert. It was for grand opening of the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center....& his final tv special, & only 2 more concerts would follow this before his death.
It is so good to listen to your e heart felt comments about Elvis . It is clear that you loved him ,just as we did ...and still do. He never lost his amazing voice...thanks again .
Thank you Darling Thank you so much for your kind words for Our Elvis he would be deeply touched I just know he would be and you young lady are a special soul with so much kindness in your eyes and face That's was Elvis loved to do is standing out there on that stage in front of all the people and really make a special connection with them and laugh and joke and have fun to try making that moment a worry-free a moment to let loose of all the worries and he loved them all so so much and he gave them his very best he was special but he knew that y'all were so much more than a audience at a Concert y'all were brothers and sisters and he never would do anything to hurt you he would do just about anything to protect you and help you he could and he did help so so many people some he helped by giving money and things but he helped most with his songs I have seen so many post about how his songs have made a person that was feeling overwhelmed and just by hearing Elvis sing and his way of joking around on stage have made a Difference to so many people at a difficult time yeah Elvis made this world a little bit better he tried to help everyone this world would not be the same today if there was no Elvis A. Hi! Unchained Melody is a 1955 song, with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. Unchained Melody have been made, by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages. Elvis Presley - Unchained Melody. One of the greatest songs by Elvis. Another great Elvis songs from this time. Moody blue, And I Love You So. Thanks Sarah! For Elvis Presley - Unchained melody. reaction! 🎸🎤
Another very understanding reaction Sarah and you're right he could barely speak but his voice still rang out. I hope he gets to see his legacy as well Sarah Thank you for your such lovely words about him xx
It was not actually the last song he sang that night but it was the last song he recorded. It was his last public performance. So emotional seeing this. What a shame for the world but he left it all on the stage. R.I.P. Elvis.
He was just 42,when I was young I thought that was old, I am now 64 and see how YOUNG he was when he died, what a STRONG VOICE, such stage presence,we were VERY lucky to have him with us for 42 years, KING ELVIS.
Even at the end his voice never failed him...in the depths of pain, failing health and addiction he lays it down on the line for his fans...taken at only 42...Still the greatest...Still the king 🤴 ❤❤❤
Third generation Elvis fan here. First great reaction 👏👏. Next there's nothing sadder than this to an Elvis fan but watching long black limousine his funeral procession. I have been watching this concert for over 30 years that I can remember and it still is so sad every time I see it.
So desperately sad to see him like this ... the introduction and build up is just painful to watch ... but when he finally gets into it ... wow Nice reaction Sarah, stay safe 👍🏻
He finally got to meet his twin brother that was still born. And I know he's singing in heaven because God gave him his voice to praise God so I know he's still performing with his body healed by God's grace and mercy.
Sarah- I am so glad that you were able to react to this great cover done by Elvis Unchained Melody. This song was originally done by The Righteous Brothers but I always thought Elvis did it the bests. Elvis may have not been his healthiest here but he never lost his voice and this was just a couple of months before he died. Please react to a great song by Elvis called It's Midnight.
If he could only feel how much he was appreciated. I was 12 when he died and had just arrived from schoo and cried. I'm not even American and at that time I didn't speak english. I had only one record from him.
Real Elvis fans get sad watching this because you can see how much he is struggling to even talk and his own father watched this happen and Let It Go On. Rip King
Terrible! And what about your reaction.. beautiful, always very precise and full of emotion. Please continue .When he speaks, we hear a tired voice, at the end of the roll, his face is almost unrecognizable, he barely stands, and as soon as he starts singing, the magic still works, a powerful voice full of emotion, a masterful interpretation. 6 weeks before the end.. sad . It's kinda sad that true singers like this really no longer exist. Everything today is done over with autotune so you aren't really hearing the person singing at all.
He is very very sick here, he died less then 8 weeks later... Listen in the beginning, he is confused, he studders and he can hardly breath, but listen when he starts to play the piano and sing, wow...
That performance is almost out of this world, and thank you for the beautiful way u put the words to describe it, Sarah.
