Dear Sarah, my name is Carole, I am a French Canadian from Ottawa Canada (Our Capital)...I have been an ELVIS fan for 60 years....yes, you read correctly, 60 Years. I am now 71 and terminally ill. All the reactors that I go to, who play Elvis, I listen to. You seem like a wonderful and compassionate woman. This particular video that you are watching was done in 1993. It was telecast, via satellite, around the world at the same time. It had never been done and has never been done since. That just gives you a little idea how SPECIAL Elvis was. I was lucky enough to meet people who played with him on stage, in his Vegas years and have been to Graceland. My dear Sarah, please keep on going down the "Elvis Rabbit Hole" as they call it, as he is totally worth it. He had a voice that has never been and will never be again. Not only his voice, but his presence on stage and his charisma. He also had a great sense of humor. Which I find wonderful when you are considered the KING. I have been a hairstylist and a make-up artist and let me tell you, Elvis had the perfect face....not just me saying that because I have always loved him, but as a professional in the field. I could go on forever but of course I cannot...I only hope you get to read this to understand his greatness. I know children who are 4- 5 years old who love him....His legend will live on. All the best to you and may you stay happy and yourself !!!!!
What a wonderful reaction from someone who didn't know anything about Elvis: no biases. Outstanding! I grew up and lived through the Elvis era. The world lost a champion when he passed. He has just so many songs that will bring tears to your eyes. Very few people heard Elvis sing "Danny Boy". It was on his last album and only performed once. REMARKABLE.
Even if you set aside his singing (which is supernatural), the song is about a person at the end of his rope and thinking he'd be a fool to go on. Great song, superbly sung.
What an amazing voice, and I actually heard people say that he did not have a strong voice. They must be on something. I have listen to that voice since I was nine years old. I am now 70.
I'm so glad younger generation is finally getting into Elvis! He is the most loved entertainer ever ♥️ loved around the world after 45yrs after he left us!! Luv him 💓 💕 ❤️ always!! Thank you for following him!
…Phenomenal!! … Elvis has everything a singer needs: GOOD LOOKS, GOOD MANNERS, HUMOR, SEXY, a stunning VOICE... and above all an incredible CHARISMA!! ... He is still unsurpassed today and a singer for eternity!! ✨💎✨🕺🏻🕯 Thank you
Thank you for a wonderful reaction & an understanding of how he did sing from his soul & from his gut -- but it was not only this type of song that he put his emotions into -- he was a powerful & emotional singer who sang that way even w-his fast paced, upbeat songs -- everything he sang was powerful & emotional. You are young & just discovering him so i do not understand why anyone would question why you are not familiar w-him -- as w-everything in life, we all have to start from somewhere.
Of all the concerts I've been to in my life none was as exciting or powerful or emotional as the Elvis concert I was blessed enough to attend in 1976. It remains one of my favorite memories. Nobody put on a show like Elvis.
Your reaction is why people call him the king he just touches your soul and I can see you got that , welcome to falling into the rabbit hole its a journey you'll never regret. Best an honest reaction I've seen , well done.
Elvis is one of the best singers that has ever lived. He was also a fabulous entertainer. There is a reason he is called "The King". He had a great voice & could sing anything whether it was ballads, gospel or rock. He also acted in quite a few movies with great songs.
@@SarahDengler Some of my favorites are "Blue Hawaii", "G.I. Blues", "Fun In Acapulco", "Viva Las Vegas", "It Happened At The World's Fair", "Clambake" etc. They may be a bit corny but the music is great.
I am a huge Elvis fan. Some people wonder why he didn't move around much other than Suspicion Minds. But he was pitch perfect in every song. He put out. Maybe he held his energy for the songs. I read a review that he went through the motions. That is so far from the truth . He was in magnificent shape and his voice better than ever. There will never be another Elvis
It is a very powerful heartfelt song as Elvis' marriage was over. His wife Priscilla told him in 1972 that she was leaving him. The concert event that this footage was taken occurred in January of 1973. Elvis was living that song when he sang it. There will NEVER be anyone to come close to Elvis in looks, talent and that voice was incredible to say the least. In my opinion, he had the voice of an angel. I was lucky enough to experience it live. Mesmerizing!!!!
It's not only the singing itself , It's the charisma, the controle, the transmitting of his emotions via a song into our hearts..Only Elvis can do that...HIS WAY.
great reaction sara, elvis was going through a break up with his wife during this period he would pass only four years later was voted the most influential entertainer of the 20th century and more than a billion record sales .

Hi Jon, hello to you in Scotland , thanks for sharing this kind comment , you're so right. Elvis always TCB, and , he's still doing it , have a great day. TCB 1935
When he said "no-one would care, no-one would cry, if I should live or die" how wrong he was. He is mourned every day since his untimely death and tears are still shed for him. I fell in love with Elvis when I was 6 years old but kept that to my self for many years because of the scorn and ridicule many adults displayed towards him. You might like to see his early performances on the Ed Sullivan show when he was so very young and beautiful.
Your reaction was beautiful. Continue to listen more. He was going thru a divorce at this time. I have listened to Elvis since 1956 but only got to this Aloha concert 1973 that was broadcasted around the world and seen by 1.5 Billion people I sat 3rd row center n couldn't take my eyes off of him I was 21. He was n always will be the best entertainer of all time. I never met Elvis but became good friends with Charlie Hodge his confidant and best friend for years after Elvis died n he told me many great things about Elvis. I kept a journal on the stories that he told me. It tells Elvis life story. This man went from very poor to fame so fast. He said he didn't really care about all the millions he made( today he would have been a multi billionaire) He was the most generous man giving away most of his money, trips, Jewelry, Cadillacs, Motorcycles n people in need. The list goes on. I will give you a few favorite songs of mine to react to, American Trilogy Aloha concert 1973, Bridge Over Troubled Water Vagus 1970, Suspicious Minds Vagus 1970( the best performance of this song) I'll Remember You Aloha concert 1973, Make The World Go Away Vagus 1970. You Gave Me A Mountain Aloha concert 1973, n over 500 more so you have a long way to go. I think you can see I'm big fan of his. Thank you for keeping Elvis music alive.
Your journey of Elvis is just beginning. There is 733 songs. You should watch his movies, "Follow That Dream", "Frankie and Johnny", "Spinout", "Girls, Girls, Girls", "Loving You", "Blue Hawaii" and all the others. There are lots of beautiful ballads and different type songs. Have fun with the Elvis journey and enjoy it all.

As a person who has never heard Elvis, I am so in awe at your description of the emotion of Elvis’ singing and performance. You caught every emotion he feels and puts into his music. That’s why he is the king of rock & roll. He grew up very poor and became a big teen idol in 1956 and died at the age of 42 in 1977.

Maybe you’ll guess which song it is sung in its English form. Thank you for the time and the heartfelt comments. Beautiful
If you met the king he would be so nice to you. I guarantee you the love would be so tremendous. That a guaranteed fact about Elvis Presley. Here’s a little fact about Elvis. He loved his mother so much until she died in her late 40s from alcoholism after he joined the The U.S. Army. After her death he couldn’t bear the pain so he just started crying in his mothers closet. On that same day he had to speak in front of a crowd. Besides my point, I kind of know some history about Elvis. You know what I think you’ll meet Elvis one day in the afterlife someday I hope.
