@MOONLIGHT LOVE 🌙💓 Obviously everyone has their own opinion. There are many great male singers past and present but no one IMO compares to Elvis. However there are many male singers I very much enjoy listening to. Music is a wonderful thing. Enjoy.
@moonlitlove You're missing something. Perry Como is a "one trick pony". Elvis presley possessed a chameleon voice that changed multiple times in his very short life. Are you getting it? Diversity? Elvis's diverse voice sounds completely different every few years. It's truly remarkable, YET I feel that you have no idea whatsoever. How's your critical thinking ability? You don't hear the stark, NIGHT AND DAY difference between "1956's "jailhouse rock", and 1969's. "In the ghetto?? Or "1956's "Heartbreak hotel" and. "1970's. "Bridge over troubled water" The timeless "1960 "it's now or never" or. 1966's. "You'll never walk alone" Elvis's voice is DIVERSITY personified! Those singers you mentioned, are "one trick pony" types, in comparison.
@@toomylight2311 Actually? Moonlitlove is DEAD WRONG. Those singers he mentioned are "one trick pony types" in comparison to elvis's diverse chameleon voice. Read my response to him. He has absolutely ZERO clue.
Nina, I have not seen one Elvis reaction where your girly girl doesn’t seep through your expert voice, mannerisms, charisma, analysis and awe. Your smile ear to ear gives you the universal key to Club Elvis with the rest of his fans. Brilliant!!!!
Elvis never ceases to amaze me with his incredible vocal skills, his ability to command the stage, his physicality and his charisma. I so much enjoy your reactions, especially to the King. I really appreciate listening to your educated analysis of his incredible performances. Thank you also for pointing out the music and backup. I encourage everyone to look up the individual members of the TCB band as well as the backup singers. Elvis surround himself with top musicians and vocals. This served to place a brighter spotlight on the marvel of the man himself. Thank you again, Nina! ❤ P.S. The rehearsal videos for the 1970 Vegas shows are always fun and illuminating. We bear witness to his personality, his involvement in arrangements and a precious bit of history. Also, I think you'd like Elvis's version of 'I Just Can't Help Believing' from the 1970 Vegas show.
He always speeded up his songs in concerts, as he said "If I didn't give them a show, they cud just stay at home, nd play my records". That's why he always put on a show to entertain the audience.
That’s not correct. He used to speed up the old fifties songs, to get them done as he did them because he thought he had to. But other songs were not played faster. This song, this is the arrangement, studio and in concert.
Elvis is a perfectionist, I love that he is not only the singer but the dancer and conductor of the band. From the same concert, you can't go past Bridge over troubled waters, his best vocals I'm my opinion. By the way, you are very entertaining
Thanks a million for this reaction Nina. I'm 55 yrs old. Was 10 when Elvis passed away. Liked him alot because I love old time rock and roll. But he could sing everything!!!! Incredible vocalist and entertainer. I would love to see you react to his last performance. Unchained melody. Just weeks prior to his death. Not in good shape. Has trouble eith breathing and speaking. Then he starts to sing..... Again thanks for this reaction video. Wish you a great weekend. Take care
Elvis trademark drum entrances almost 2 beats before the downbeat. Many of his songs have this signature. Same concert sitting on a bar stool singing with his guitar Little Sister/Get Back. Unforgettable
Nina, cannot believe anyone has not asked you to react to "If I Can Dream". This song was recorded as part of what became known as the "68 Comeback Special" that effectively relaunched Elvis's career as a live performer. This is the most emotional performance Elvis ever gave. He is expressing his wish for a more peaceful, united world at a time just after the assassination of Martin Luther King in his home town and the recent shooting dead of Robert Kennedy. Raw emotion and immense talent make for an intensely moving performance.
I love it when you do elvis. I would also love to see your reaction to his live performance of the Simon and Garfunkel Song bridge over troubled water. I think it's in vegas. Oh my god, it's so good and he does his own arranging and the arrangement on this also is fantastic. I've actually seen a behind the scenes clip at rehearsal where he is literally going through the song bit by bit and determining the arrangement. For anybody that's played in a band, which I know you do, everything about it rings true and it's just fascinating. Especially then when you hear the live performance and you can hear those various things they were working on in the final version but his life performance of this just kills. Just amazing. Feels almost operatic.
@@RobertNorthrop thanks man! I did in fact go find it right after I posted that but yeah, you know what's amazing about this is that there is a UA-cam video out there that shows them in rehearsal working on this song. Elvis did his own Arrangements which I don't think a lot of people appreciate how incredibly good he was at that. And it's fascinating to see, they are literally working through it kind of figuring out the arrangement as they go. One great is example is in that final verse where it gets so triumphant and he says, if you need a friend, and then a staggered overlapping response to it almost is where the backing vocals repeat that phrase and it is so incredibly effective. That's one of the things that you can see just kind of emerge in the arrangement and he keeps stopping and going back because he feels it's not quite right and then he finally figures it out and then he communicates to them and they finally get it and it's just a great moment. And then you go watch this live performance and there it is and live like that, it's just so stunning. Going from just like any band and I've been in bands my whole life, sitting around in rehearsal working on stuff and then there's the performance and it's just so magnificent. To hear it transform like that.
The studio version of this song is, indeed, as Ms Nina suggests, at a much slower tempo, and whilst this live rendition is masterful-hey, it’s Elvis!-the studio version adds much more soul, and is probably the one our young and lovely hostess was thinking of. Certainly, one of my favourites, as is everything off, “That’s the Way it is”. A lovely day to all.
Every movement... Vocal phrases and acknowledgement of his band.. Backing singers.. It all came together perfectly... Add that to his charisma... and beautiful voice... Elvis.... None better....
There is just one voice like this one, when Elvissss sings, the word sings ! It’s a volcano, an explosion, and sometimes just the opposite, soft, sweet just one Elvissss, grandiose Marvellous, love him forever ! Ann , from France 🇫🇷 💋💋💋
You are so intense it is brilliant 👏 you break everything down how you explain right down to a T I have no idea what any of it means I just know that he is brilliant and I love it .Well done you.xx

Another wonderful reaction Nina. You point out so many things that just go over my head, and I just go.. Oh yeah, I see it now. How about doing a reaction to Elvis 1968-show #2 black leather "trying to get to you". BTW you look super marvelous today Nina, just lovely and everyone check out Nina's music. Her music is fabulous.
Hi. Take a look at Elvis' live version of 'You've lost thst loving feeling'. It's yet another great example of how to deliver a song and captivate an audience.
Beautiful reaction, I'd have to say that Elvis worked constantly to perfect his craft. He would very frequently have his backup singers the Sweet Inspirations, come to his Las Vegas suite after doing 2 shows a night to sing gospel songs until 6-7am . He would also have them come to Graceland to sing with him all night. The best Elvis songs are those with him and just a few instruments.
Great choice it is a song I loe hearing him singing live, you mentioned that you thought it was a slower song and if you listen to his studio recording you get a slower version, but for on stage he always sped it up and it sounded so great. Love your Elvis reactions .... maybe you might do Kentucky Rain or Stranger in the crowd live 1970. Thanks
Love, love this performance. What can I say even after seeing it many many times, it’s always as if was the first time. Magnificent. This man did so much with his vocals and the music went through his body and mind. He touches you with his soul. There will never be any one to compare this man with. So, much talent. Love your reactions of Elvis. Brings us Elvis fans so much joy that he is still getting new fans.

Elvis was the master of the tension/release. If you watch the entire concert by the beginning of this song he has the audience on the edge of their seats. The little rounded and exaggerated “Oh” phrasing in the lyrics is Elvis being silly and making fun of himself/cutting up by goofing his singing up on purpose. That is the release and makes us fall in love with the guy even more. Full range of emotional rollercoastering. From anticipation, to the build up in previous songs, to expectations and full on adoration then getting us to laugh with him and finally endearment. Quite the master Elvis was. And it all came natural, which makes it even more attractive to the audience. Pretty amazing and imo the greatest entertainer ever.
I have learned so much from your videos. I have always loved these great performances and songs but you give me a new appreciation for what makes them great. Thank you. His voice is so versatile that all his songs sound so different, some singers seem to have the same sound for all the songs they sing and it can get boring listening to them . I never ever get bored listening to Elvis but how can he be so clever with his voice when he’s never had any training or lessons. His voice is like a comfort blanket it just wraps around you.
re your comment at 3 ;28 - Elvis practiced Karate, he was 7th Dan Black Belt in Karate. Many of his stances and much of his movements were instinctively inspired by the martial art. Elvis most definitely earns the title King. He is magnetic to watch, and that vibrato in his voice just gets you deep down in your soul. Nina, you've simply got to see his performance of Polk Salad Annie. I think you will absolutely love that one, although there's not so much singing in that one and you'll probably end up laughing.
gorgeous song and performance 🎧🎶🎤🎵💙
Simplesmente fantástico. .🎉🎉🎉

Elvis Presleys verison of "Just Pretend" is absolutely superb also!
He could sing any song & all songs.
Great performance
This performance definitely moves along more quickly. I think I’ve seen slower paced live versions. Thanks for sharing.
If you package that smile and sell it, you would be a billionaires. Love your detail in analyzing.👍🤗
