I visited the museum 3 yrs ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It made me appreciate Corvettes and the history of them. Great highlight video, but if anyone is in the area, certainly take the time to visit!
I've heard they won't put the big wing spoiler on the car at the museum because it's against union rules to make a Corvette look like it was vandalized by some teenagers.
Damn it’s changed a lot in there in the last year. I’m going back this month for the 10th+ time. I lost count now. I love that place. Can’t wait for factory tours to open back up too. 300 mile drive and totally worth it.
The wife and I made a trip out for streetcar takeover and she has never been to the museum so we went over there. I was going to stop and say hi but you looked like you were pretty busy. Keep up the great content.
I may be off the subject because this video is about the museum but I wanted to point out that GM and Dealerships are getting 10% down payment ( non refundable as I heard ) on the pre orders of the C8 and GM and Dealerships aren’t letting the buyers know the exact price of the car they spec’d out! So what are Dealerships basing the down payment on ? I still think on August 15th. sticker price shock will kick in. In my opinion the C8 won’t be available for a year than GM will be showing off the 2021 C8 or what they will call it. I remember when growing up that dealerships would have the next year vehicle on the lots in September but now manufacturers are making to many variations of a car and now days manufacturers are a year or more late with just delivering the current model vehicle. It’s a shame. I like the C8 but as I’ve said on August 15th. buyers will be either bothered or not about the Real pricing after adding the Z51 option and other options. I’m just being realistic.
The ZL1 was designed for the Can Am Chaparral 2G in 1967. It became standard fare in 1968 in the Can Am. In 1969, there were a couple of ZL1 Corvettes and 69 were ordered in the 1969 COPO Camaros. Even though I have a ZL1 Camaro, a ZL1 to me always means an all aluminum 427.
I dislike going to dealerships because of the bad experiences I’ve had through the years but thank you for the insightful info you’ve shared. I’ll be sure to order my future C8 from you and fly up from Florida to pick it up when it’s time. 👍🏼🏎🔥🏎🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really wanted to do a museum delivery, but ordering the high wing and dealer is on east coast and I'm in Nashville. GM really needs to figure out a way to do this. Almost everything else has been spot on with this launch with the exception of this option with a NCM delivery.
@@ChevyDude That may very well be a good option. Kid of wanted the car completely done in my spec at the museum and just drive home, but this might be an option. Maybe drive up to you to get it done? Quick question -any idea if the car will be able to be lowered like the C7 on factory bolts?
Chevy Dude I have a uncle that works a Chevy dealership and he told me that if you try to tune it ,it does something to the ecm and then it's dealership bound ,I for got what he called it

@@ChevyDude thanks for the reply. That's what I was hoping to do drive around awhile try to spot one in the wild. I'm in Dayton Ohio so I don't know if I wanna drive it if there aren't any. Again thanks for your reply.
You're the man and this Viper driver is supremely impressed. Saw the order guide. Just want to ask what is the standard axel ratio and what's the performance axel ratio? THXS
Does the high wing cost more If you don't buy it when you order your C8? If you order a Z51 and then the high wing when you buy the car. I'd think they only put the holes in for the Z51 spoiler and not the spoiler itself, so they get to "keep" the spoiler that would have been included. If you buy the Z51 package, they put the spoiler on. then you buy the high wing later on you wouldn't get a possible price reduction for not getting the Z51 spoiler.
@@ChevyDude ok on a C7... if somebody got the Z51 package and bought an upgraded wing that was LPO when they ordered the car.... is/was it the same price as buying that wing straight from the dealer later on ?
Have you heard of some dealers marking up 2020 hd trucks I seen in Colorado there adding 5 to 10k more than MSRP on them all is days mark-up adjustment add-on
Was great to meet you today, I am new to your channel and I really like your content. Hopefully in the future you will be able to help me with getting my dream car. Keep up the good work.
Are they going to teach you how to do a burnout without running it to the redline and just shutting it down like you did in your burnout video? That should make other vet owners cringe.
I wanna see what Cadillac will do with this affordable mid engine chassis. It's not an affordable luxury mid engine supercar on the market. Shit they could get away with doing a higher volume v6 model unlike the Vette.

I like how they arranged the sinkhole cars the way they were prior to the sinkhole. Very cool.

I love the museum and have done the factory tour too. Don't forget Beech Bend.
Museum Delivery is awesome. We've done it twice.
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife We watched two of them get built. Our 2015 and 2016 Z06. Great experience.

ZL1 badges in those years designated a all aluminum 427ci
That 2009 Zr1 Was the Winner of all

Exactly...
Mike if I'm mistaken I believe there was a 1990 corvette zr1 with the prototypes being in 1987-88-89 as a comeback from the 1970 zr1
According to google search the ZR1 was offered as a pkg first in the 1970 to 1972 model years

Nebraska, Go Big Red!! Love your videos and really want to order my C8 through you!!
Is it true that all estimated 2020 production numbers are sold out, so if we were to buy one, we'd have to get a 2021 model year?
The black car you were hiding is the CORMARO dude. 😃
How much does the museum delivery experience cost?

0:05 Chevy Dude!!!
loving that C8 Haircut! ... i got myself one today!... easy to maintain...
... but need to get some American Crew to hold it in style
awesome video brother! I was curious about the high wing
I heard that it cost more than ordering it with the factory, the dealer parts dept will charge more plus installation

yes I have been there it is a awesome experience thanks for the tour again
dangit Mike, now I want to come visit the Museum lol!! good video sir, appreciate them!
i heard tht u cant get a 2020 C8 now unless u already ordered 1

hi Mike. nice vid. liked b4 watching b/c i knew it was goin to be good
The museum delivery doesn’t include a drive on their test track?
I have to come here and check it out.
Oh so beautiful I can’t wait until I can get a new one in the next few years!
So if I go to the factory to take delivery, I still have to pay freight to deliver it to my dealer? It's not being delivered! Weird.
7:48 - “2009 was the first year the ZR1 was produced” - not correct. The ZR1 was first produced in 1969.

Do you think GM will ever build a midengine version Corvette Sledge hammer?
Wow c4 and 250 plus. So a modern Sledge Hammer c8 or c9 just might give a Veyron sport a run for it's money for bragging rights of less than 200,000
Where's the option in the accessories to remove the Camaro exhaust and put on the center Corvette exhaust?
7:48 best Corvette ever made🤷🏻♂️
Does the museum still have that black hole exhibit? Asking for my insurance adjuster
It's either a Wing or a Spoiler. Not both. A wing has air going through and over it. A spoiler just has wind going over it. ;)
Finally The Video I wanted to seee
i want that 2009 ZR1 soo bad
What about the track day?
That is a lot of blue

Hey Mike, heard the news via LIfe of Palos that you got Emelia from the DDE fam a new C8 ! way to slay it buddy :-)
Are you going down for the caravan would love to meet you
how much is museum delivery?
Who is going to Corvettes at Carlisle? Aug. 22 to 25.
Are they going to teach you how to do a burnout without running it to the redline and just shutting it down like you did in your burnout video?

I never really got where you said exactly how you can get the high wing and museum delivery. Help with a time stamp.
Typical saleshole don't waste your time.
I missed that also.. sounds like the wing will be installed at the dealer after you have a museum pickup
I’ve seen two museum deliveries, they both went out of the museum and into a trailer, what a shame, they should be driven!
Bad to the bone brother Awesome sums it up keep up the awesome workhat backwards down the highway when the roof is off lol have a great week
Awesome vid
Scotty not approved, Yet. Give it a few years Lol
If you live in Louisville can't Chevy dude then I live close but not real close pretty far away but pretty close

I wanna ball my eyes out when I see those poor, once-beautiful Vettes that suffered through the sinkhole disaster. That’s just WRONG!!! 😪😪😪
Cold , very cold day in hell before i would drive on the street with that hideous wing on my car. Looks like ricer!
Dave Machoukas Agree-it’s obtrusive, obnoxious and ugly. Detracts from the beauty of the car.
Are u a damper dan man
Sorry, it is pronounced NURburgring, not NEWburgring.
I want to order a c8 from this guy .....but I live in canada 🤮

congrats!
Nothing on the video about the C8... two thumbs down

The Corvette museum is boring. The best thing in it is the sink hole. Lol. It’s clearly made for old dudes.
