Hello everyone and welcome back to Brink of Speed. If you've always wanted to see what the Corvette delivery process is like at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. You're going to love this! This is an In-Depth delivery process from Chris at the Museum. Stay safe out there everyone and have a great week!
Wow, what a cool delivery process! I was even clapping at the end! I got a ZL1 myself and I'm so conflicted I want this car but the thought of the Z06 got me wondering.. but honestly I know I don't need any more than the base. I always wanted a zo6 but now I'm questioning logically what would it benefit me lol. This is such a performance bargain!
Mike, this was so cool to watch! I learned so much from this video and really appreciate you sharing it. I have a 2016 Z white/red that I bought new, and it has 5600 miles on it. I had a stage three put on it from Vengeance in May, so I am just over 680 RWHP. Keeping it, and am on the list for both a Stingray and a new Z. I will be getting both and figure it out from there. Thanks so much for the video, as it helped me to learn much about the functionality of the C8!
I just enjoyed the museum, Nov 2022, for the first time and enjoyed it tremendously. I will most likely never get the chance to own a corvette but that's o.k. The museum was well worth it. I did watch a new owner (husband and wife) get the tour of their new corvette and was able to watch a lot of the demo going on. I really loved hearing them start it up inside that building. We were right at the back of the corvette so it sounded really good! It was a neat experience to watch someone getting their introductory tour of their new corvette, and it was the same color as this one in the video, red.
I was taking notes Mike on this upload, but then I thought it would just be easier to change my order to Museum Delivery. Then I found out the factory is shutting down! Story of my life. Whenever my ship came in, I was always at the bus stop. 😉 Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️
So you were the one who I saw filming Clarence hoping all over the place when I had just logged into the Museaum’s webcam the other day. This is so amazing to catch you both there. Clarence was kind of hard to miss bouncing all over the place in front of his new baby. Like I told Clarence, Chris did an excellent job explaining each and every feature. I even learned some stuff about my C7 I didn’t even know. I have never done the museum delivery for any of my 4 vettes but now watching this video I have changed my mind. I am definitely going to do this when GM puts out a C8 Grand Sport.... in the meantime I will be enjoying everyone’s vids. Happy driving! 🤙
Question. I'm thinking about natural but black insert. How are the bosters holding up. I've had two 2000 C5. Less wear on my 2012 GS with 34,000. I've replaced drivers seat leather three times on C5. I think I'll like natural just comcern about wear appearance. Thanks.C5 224 000 z51
General Motors issued a press release today saying they will begin an orderly suspension of manufacturing operations in North America due to concerns over the Coronavirus. The suspension will last at least until March 30th with a resumption in operations to be determined on a week-to-week basis afterward.
@@BrinkofSpeed Clarence lucked out. Either the 2020 will be a very rare car holding value or they will have to start manufacturing the 2021 when the plant reopens. This could go on until July.
Wait, this guy didn't actually SHOW him how to take the roof off and put it in back and how to lock it in place? I didn't want to comment but wow, that's not cool bro.
For me it isn't, since I work at a Chevy dealer, I want to be the one that PDI's it and removes all the protective plastic and coverings, plus I probably know more about the car than the museum people.

Great video, i’ve been thinking whether I want to do the Corvette Museum or not. This makes me want to do it of course.

Peter Carey Murphy’s law is always getting me too. 😩
@@BrinkofSpeed Agreed. And if I ever meet that guy Murphy, we are definitely going to have a little "talk." 😉
Peter Carey Lol, me too 😊
@@BrinkofSpeed Excellent! I was hoping I'd have you for backup. Together we'll turn Murphy into a Smurphy.👿

James Mellos III That is correct bro, you did catch us there and Clarence was definitely hopping around. Thank you for your kind words and support.
Nice. I thought the high wing wasn't available with museum delivery??
BEC BEC It sure is, they made that change after the GM strike.
cool
yeah

WOW ONLY 10 HATERZ LOL !!!
Great Video Great presentation...
you know all of us where thinking about that rain
Just curious, how tall is Clarence? Hubs is 6'2". Working on convincing him he fits!
He is 6’2” as well. 😊
Awesome video
Thank you 😊
Drove it in the rain?
I was planning to go to the Corvette Museum this weekend. Unfortunately, the museum has been closed due to the coronavirus. 😭
Billy Morgan Yeah, it sucks but I understand.
Great vid..!!
Hope this latest shutdown won't delay your C8 too long..????
Don Rossi I have a feeling it won’t 😉

Hope you are Right!!
Clarence has clearance!!!
I hope Victory Red and Atomic Orange are available in the future.
Hard to hear what is being said with the unnecessary muzak
Thanks for sharing, do you have to still pay the destination charge ?
Yes you do. They have to “deliver” it to the museum. Can’t wait to take delivery in July.

Yes water goes on engine.

Rain means good luck when you buy a new car.
Crazy that you must pay over $1,000.00 to PICK UP your new car!
Even crazier you have to pay 1300 for them to deliver the car less than a mile away. Literally next door.
I drive mine in the snow. I don't care. It is a car made for driving...
WOW THIS WAS THE WHITEST VIDEO I HAVE EVER WATCHED hahahah love cars
I own one I wasn’t that excited
Look already in the rain...
🐜
I have two questions. Where is my Key. and where is the beer holder.. GET OUT OF MY WAY... I AM OUT OF HERE.
what
Well they just ended c8 production
B Mann 😩
Just dont see how this is worth a Grand .
The experience you get, plus if you could afford to get a C8 you can afford to spend a grand to do this.
