@@jasmine.lavender Well if you have multiple pairs snd you don't wear one pair often then the wear on any given pair won't be enough to wear through a sole. Wear one pair long enough though and mechanical action and abrasion will destroy its sole soon enough. It's soft rubber and Cork, its not indestructible. The soles are not even Vibram or Dananite.

The little secret of the English speaking predominantly white colonies is that our language may come from UK, but every day culture is soooo German. granted I live in a very norse/germanic part of the US (lots of the families haven't even been here 100 years, lol FOB...), but the whole Midwest is like a little Germany lol (technically bigger than Germany, but there's lots of other ethnic groups in the mix).
A few days back it looked clear so I dared to wear sneakers for my walk to the grocery store. Finished up to find freezing rain & snow was blowing horizontally.😂😭

As a Swede, I can definitely relate to the seasonal depression thing. Even though it’s rough to wake up an hour earlier in the mornings the first week after shifting the clocks to summer time it is worth it to have such lovely bright evenings.
Reading this I can really relate. In Canada it is very much the same and the winters are so unbelievably long. But I wanted to ask if the clocks shifting back in the winter is controversial in Sweden ? In Canada everybody hates it as we shift back in the winter and the sun sets at 4 pm instead of 5pm during December. Some people want to stop the clocks going back forever and just stay on one time all year round. Is something similar happening in Sweden ?
@@northboy7996 there is actually even a motion at the European Union to abolish the switching and alot of people prefer the summertime mode. Not sure if it will eventually happen, though.

When I was younger me and my family lived in a small town and we would always drill on our balcony with the same green grill you just had in your hand The funny thing about our grill was that it turned red when it got hot so we decided to name it Appel That just gave me nostalgia ❤

Flip-Flops took over and repressed the domination of the sandals almost completely in Germany. But Birkenstocks is here around all ages. It's just more comfy, when you are going to spend all day going inside and outside over and over, it makes no sense to put on "real" shoes imo. :D

During university times I had friends from different faculties and NOBODY except the engineers and archaeologists wore socks and sandals… also my one good stoner friend wanting to become a teacher. Most Germans would never wear that combo outside… but who knows? In the 80s it was almost unthinkable to visit the Oktoberfest in Landhaus clothing (like Dirndl - non traditional wannabe romanticized peasant clothes) and 30 years later its almost rare to see someone in Jeans… times change and some cliches become tradition…
