I'm not a fan of florals but I have a lilac rose as well as a beige rose fabric corsage which I wear as lapel pins. They look fab,. especially on pinstriped and masculine style blazers. The other way you could wear roses is an elegant rose printed silk scarf.
I love cinching jackets with belts, and super high rises. I’ve been doing it for years 😂😂😂. I also have a dress in my wardrobe that is covered in large, red roses. This is great. I won’t have to buy much! I was just early ❤
Roses are a yes, feathers and birds on the other hand, a definite no for me. Gives a cheap vibe imo. But I may warm up to it, never say never 😁 Great video, thanks for the insights!
I think roses look best on evening wear. I don't mind whether that would be a structural piece incorporated into the architecture of the garment or whether it would be a print feature. The key is that it would need to actually work (and not look stupid) but also be a bit unique and statement in a good way.
Happy New Year Leoni!🎉 Can you please feature clothes that are trending for spring, which are “rain friendly” with my work schedule and everything it’ll take forever for me to gather ideas for this 😂 thanks!❤
I finally broke down and bought a raincoat that does what it says. For my location and lifestyle, I only need a jacket, but choose the coverage level that suits your needs. That's half the battle.
I'd probably wear roses in my hair as they just look a bit weird on me in an outfit! But feathers and birds I love. I actually have a dress I made with birds on it and I absolutely love it! Perfect for summer ❤
😂Love your videos and have been watching for a year - looking forward to the 2024 trends! I love reading the comments from other fashionistas around the globe. Happy New Year! ❤
I do like a set but it could come off boring if you don't have any fresh ideas on how to style them and the belt is a great accessory for that. The architectural shape garments can be achieved with safety pin, broaches or other accessories. Wearing bold color with black seem to be on the boring side because there no thought in it. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
Thanks for the update! I liked the Kensie top with a rose on it. I'll keep my eye out for something related to birds, because I also love birds. I'll add some more primary colors, too. I'm petite, so the super high waisted pants are not my friend.
I love your fashion trends videos! They are to the point, and not too long. I do love bright colors, so these primary colors will be my go to! Thank you, and Happy and Stylish 2024!
Regarding mixing the brights with black, I loved the clip of the high waisted, bright green jeans with the fitted black T-shirt… And made a mental note that looks great! I do think one’s geographical environment affects if they lean toward pairing brights, with either white or black… and, finally, I feel that it’s deeply subconscious, as to How one wants to pair their brights.
I’ve got some fabulous vintage/antique Eisenberg, Schiaparelli fur pins that would work great with some of these trends. I’ll be adding them in the mix!
I am classic all the way. Rose prints I will never wear, or feathers. On someone else they may look great! I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing these trends. Everyone has there own since of style. I have seen some pretty far out fashion trends, but the person wearing it shows such confidence! Thank you! For another great video!😄👍
Very interesting video, thank you. I’m not over the moon for any of these trends tbh. But classic dressing is always a fantastic choice. Hopefully they will continue to favor warm colors; I’m a Deep Autumn and it’s been really great to see all the warm rusty colors that have been offered these past couple of years.
For the rose trend, I just got a rose pendant /necklace from Zara that’s really cute. A great way to incorporate this trend without going too crazy. I didn’t know it was a trend when I bought it, so does that make me a trend setter? 😁
The camellia, aka, Chanel inspired, works SO well in your hair as an accent! It looks quite rose-like, but the nod to Chanel is cool. I have silk ones in white & also in glowing bone, which go super with most things... especially if you have longer hair.
Also, this last hurrah of the ultra high waisted pants will probably usher in the low rise as they did in the late 80s with the high rise, paper bag pants, then finally moving into mid 90s with the low rise… both are Eras that I lived through and enjoyed. Personally, I love a good mid to lower pant and can’t wait for them to come back.
Thanks for your video. I like most of the trends except for the white dresses. I’m short waisted so I’ll have to be careful with the high waist although I wore high waisted everything years back. But I put a bit of weight on around my stomach so high waisted pants will emphasize that
Maybe a rosette as a pop of color item or a dark romance outfit but I'm not sure. I do feel like its been done so many times already and worse done very wrong by fast fashion, remember those rosette skirts and color block dresses?
" already own " , I LIKE THAT!!! White! Oh YESSS...but NO see-through, not for me ;) Black accessories with primary colours...mmm...Ms Leonie, you have a good eye and you are right, it is a bit...too harsh. Thank you for your time and studying the trends for us! Appreciated and...HAPPY 2024 to you with kind and supportive followers!! :) helene
I kind of like black with brights. Primary, strictly speaking, would be red, yellow, or blue, but any "comic book" colors will obviously make a certain statement when paired with black; especially if your aesthetic uses the black to form a sort of framing suggestion around your bright colors; sunglasses, straight neckties, contrasting collars and pocket tabs, belts, shoes.... There was a time in the 80s when that was my whole statement. Maybe cartoonish, maybe MCM colorblock, maybe cubist stained glass.... It depends on your level of commitment.... 🙂
I'm kicking myself now that I didn't pick up some architectural Fleuvog's that were on sale last year! 😒 The roses & bird stuff is fun. I have a nice retro navy sweater with a giant rose on the front that I'll pull out for some whimsy and cheer in dreary February.😊
I love anything Rose so will see what is around. Talking about black with colour. I would love to wear more colour with colour but I find here in NZ it is very hard to find coloured bottom half clothes apart from denim or maybe white and navy. Just classic pieces. Any labels or stores to suggest more on these coloured pieces Leonie?
Oh. . . yeah. . . but I’m ONLY wearing black until the fashion industry comes up with a DARKER color! 😂 As for “classic styling,” I tend to add a bit of BOHO to my classic/basic style. But simple, not fussy is the best!
Ha! Just today I bought an oversized coat...is it a raincoat? a trenchcoat? I am not sure. It isn't satin, but it's a bit shiny, more like taffetta perhaps? And it's a pale yellowy green. Who knew you'd mention such a thing in your video?! (I thrifted it, btw)
I don't like to wear black with a bright primary colors. If you are going to wear color, go all the way, ex, pink or orange with red. That being said, I do enjoy tan and grey with primary colors, but not black. Happy new year 🙂
9:48 I believe you were going for "incarnations," rather than "incantations." I'm not being a smarty. My brain never gives me the right word at the right time. I'm being supportive. Those are some beautiful white dresses, if a bit naked for my figure....
Large fashion companies are selling more and more clothing. That is why their CO2 emissions are increasing. To keep these emissions within limits, the number of clothing items that consumers buy must be reduced. According to a German study, a maximum of five new items of clothing per year fit into a sustainable consumption pattern. Dutch consumers are far above that with an average of ten items of clothing per year. People with high incomes in particular buy a lot: the 20 percent highest incomes make about 40 percent of fashion purchases, while the 20 percent lowest incomes are responsible for less than 10 percent of purchases. Efficiency measures, such as electrifying factories and using better materials, do not deliver enough to achieve the 2030 climate goals. But fashion brands and the European Union have few plans to curb clothing consumption. # Follow the Money What story do consumers mainly hear about fashion? 'That it is normal or even desirable to buy a lot of clothes and throw them away in no time. The messages we see about fashion are almost always about new things, about what is in and what is out. Implicitly, it's all about the message that things give us status: by wearing the latest trends, you show that you are successful. For example, the fashion industry encourages people to buy huge amounts of stuff, as if all this has no consequences for the planet.' Who is responsible for that message? 'First of all, the fashion brands. Within those companies it is the marketing and communications departments and the social media teams. But there is also a whole ecosystem around it of people and organizations that spread and strengthen that story: fashion magazines, advertising and marketing agencies, stylists, photographers, videographers, influencers.'
Roses, floral prints, and graphic designs don't fit my style... A classic striped shirt/jacket or a white shirt short/ long is timeless... Also, a monochrome outfit is forever...😊❤😊
1:18 that’s not good tailoring - none of the garments fit the women wearing their clothes! I’m so tired of shapeless clothes meant for everyone that fit no one.
Wishing you the best for the new year🎉. I have always loved classic timeless pieces so have plenty to choose from. I am all about wearing bright vibrant colors and like mixing them over wearing with black. Feathers belong on birds, are fragile and when you clean the garment require special care so not for me. I never declutter accessories, belts, jewelry, scarves, bags unless the are worn out so when things come back around I can pick from stuff I have. Love the architectural look and have always worn asymmetrical pieces including my haircut some years ago. Roses, sure I would wear that trend but will not spend much money for that trend, would thrift something though. Thanks for all the information. I like to see what is current and tweak what I already have.
I'm a classic girl at heart. If it's not necessarily in style it can't go out of style either. I like looking at trendy stuff on others. That's as far as i go with it. Greetings, Leonie. Happy new year🎉
A few years ago I ordered a deadstock “coin chain belt” from Amazon. I assumed the head on the coin would be that of Alexander or Julius Caesar, or even Medusa, but it turned out to be that of Lenin! It gave me a good laugh, so I decided to keep it. It tickled my American funny bone. If nothing else, it’s a funny topic when people ask about it. It’s surprisingly well-made, BTW.
I’m not a fan of mixing bright colors with black or bright white. It’s too jarring. I prefer mixing with navy, gray, camel, beige, or winter white. Love your channel. Happy new year!
I can see a rose as a graphic tee, with jeans and a blazer. That may be it for me. Kate Spade makes some pretty black bags with red roses on them, that may be a fun accent. Happy New Year Leoni, cheers!
I'm all for the upcoming belt trend as in 2020, I started seriously replacing my old belts with some really excellent high-end ones. The more belts to come out the merrier. I'll also go with the opposites attract trend and will bring out my two Chanel wool boucle short jackets and restyle them. As for the architectural shapes, I love them and my Issey Miyake Collection pieces and other Japanese designer pieces will be brought out of the closet, pieces bought back in the 1980s and 1990s. I also like some of the feather looks, but won't invest a bundle in those looks. I'll just stick to more fast fashion places for feathered pieces for fun. I remember Zara having a feathered jacket last year. The look on the woman in the shocking pink feathered jacket, light blue jeans, matching shocking pink shoes, and mini pink handbag is fire. 🔥 That's definitely a look that I would go for. I've never had a problem wearing bright colors and thus look forward to the bright primary color trend. For 2024, I'll be shopping my closets and restyling more pieces as I do from year to year. Greetings from Los Angeles
Thanks for the shout out to Zambesi. If I could fit my pieces from the '80s I would absolutely still be wearing them as the fabrics are so good and the designs so funky they transcend all the fly by night trends.
Not in love with the white dresses that look like designers just wrapped gauze around a model. So not ready for the Waist year but bird motif...I am all for the Puteketeke
Nope....I don't like mixing brights with black. I don't know why, it just doesn't look right to me. I think I like the satin trenches even though I do not like traditional trench coats. The navy one looks like something I would like. I'll be on the lookout for them this spring!
Hi, I love your chanel, and all the contents that you created. I wish that you could talk about the clothes that you are wearing in every video. Greetings from Santiago de Chile
I'm always on the hunt for wide belts that will last but not cost $1,000. Any viewer discoveries (other than "check out vintage", because I don't have access to any good ones near me) would be much appreciated. As to combining bright colors with black: I'm wary of the old idea that black combines with everything. It can work, but it can also make the combination look cheap, and it can overwhelm the starring bright color. I prefer combining a bright color with an analogous color, or a complementary color, or a tone of gray/beige that works with the bright. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Leonie! My friend is a photographer and she lives in the US and part time in Bermuda and all her work is ocean beach scenes and she takes her images and has put them on beautiful belts and clutches. They are all leather and made in Italy.
I’ve got some fabulous vintage/antique Eisenberg, Schiaparelli fur pins that would work great with some of these trends. I’ll be adding them in the mix!
Hi Leonie, love your videos! The rosettes are very pretty but I probably won't be wearing them. Feathers remind me of the cheap boas people wore and all the feathers fell off so that is a definite no for me :)
I bought a second hand satin trench for spring, I only costed me 4€ and it is so so nice! Now I am very happy after watching your video
Wonderful!
Love all of the clasics and roses. Love the D&G rose prints and silk roses as brooches for evening.
Me too!!
I'm not a fan of florals but I have a lilac rose as well as a beige rose fabric corsage which I wear as lapel pins. They look fab,. especially on pinstriped and masculine style blazers. The other way you could wear roses is an elegant rose printed silk scarf.
Thanks for sharing!!
This was fun 🎉🎉🎉. I personally like the primary colors with tan or gray instead of black.... especially for spring.
Great idea 💡
Love roses in anything
I will wear what I already have because spending on clothes is not investing.
That depends on what you need, and what you buy.
Happy New Year.🎉
Same to you
I love cinching jackets with belts, and super high rises. I’ve been doing it for years 😂😂😂. I also have a dress in my wardrobe that is covered in large, red roses. This is great. I won’t have to buy much! I was just early ❤
You’re content is THE BEST! Thank youuuuuuuuu❤❤❤
Wow, thank you!

I think some earrings or necklace with some rose design or bird/ feather design would nice.
I think roses look best on evening wear. I don't mind whether that would be a structural piece incorporated into the architecture of the garment or whether it would be a print feature. The key is that it would need to actually work (and not look stupid) but also be a bit unique and statement in a good way.

Great idea!!
Ditto from Seattle
I finally broke down and bought a raincoat that does what it says. For my location and lifestyle, I only need a jacket, but choose the coverage level that suits your needs. That's half the battle.
Hi Leonie, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024, to You and Your Family, Thank You, Very Nice Trends!
Thank you and same to you! 🎊🎉🎈
I'd probably wear roses in my hair as they just look a bit weird on me in an outfit! But feathers and birds I love. I actually have a dress I made with birds on it and I absolutely love it! Perfect for summer ❤
That's great that you made a dress with birds that you love! It's always fun to wear something that makes you feel great.

Belts can make or break an outfit depending on how it is showcased. I love your insight in this video ❤
So true!
The floral trend is so fun!
I pair my bright neons with navy.

Never declutter classic pieces. I have some from 20 years ago.
Hi. First time watching and loving the information, thank you so much. Your jeans/pants look really interesting - what brand are they please?
Thank you and they are these ones from Zara: c8.is/3U9qnpP
It's a interesting combination

Some of those satin trench coats can look like satin bathrobes.
Cardigans modtaget...og sømandsbluse❤❤❤🎉
I love the cardigan you are wearing!! Where did you get it? And what size are you wearing?

Thank you and you too 🎊🎈
I do love 💗 Axl Rose 🌹, so yes, I’m a guns & roses 🌹 type of gal! Lol 😂 . Rock on 🤘 people! Happy New Year 🎆 Leonie. Hugs 🤗, Amy

9:48 I believe you were going for "incarnations," rather than "incantations."
I'm not being a smarty. My brain never gives me the right word at the right time. I'm being supportive.
Those are some beautiful white dresses, if a bit naked for my figure....
The jeans at about the 1:30 mark…they’re sort of straight but slim and cropped? What do you call these? I can’t find them when I try to search !
Mon din cardigan,er fra Lilysilk?HHar netop valgt en sådan herfra...og den navy variant...glæder mig til leveringen😀💝
Black only goes well with white, charcoal grey, very light grey, dark brown and baby blue, period. It kills the rest of the other colours…
Ah, the eternal debate of black and its color companions. I hear you!
I'm a big fan of wearing scarves as accent pieces. Rose, bird, feather, and primary color prints all work.
Great bid lots of great info love ❤️❤️❤️👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿😍😍😍💯💯💯
Thanks so much 😘😘
So... 2023 was all about going overboard and 2024 is return to classics..
(Budget buyer softly crying in the corner.. 😢)
Ah, the rollercoaster of fashion trends!
Hi could you please send a link those supplements you take and introduce before I couldn’t find it , thanks.
Sue sure. Here you go: piquelife.com/thestyleinsider

Definitely not wearing roses or feathers xxx
Toooo much talk 😢
❤❤👍👍👍
Have you been using something different on your skin? You look loads younger.
I have been using the new Elizabeth Arden Retinol so maybe it's that?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Most of what you show from the runway is not practical for every day wear. Showing the runway items is not helpful for me in choosing outfits.
1:18 that’s not good tailoring - none of the garments fit the women wearing their clothes! I’m so tired of shapeless clothes meant for everyone that fit no one.
Some of these pieces are drab and very unappealing
The people are going into a war setting, poverty, and economic collapse. This clothing and "trends" are done.
#freepalestine
Those white dresses look unwearable
The most impractical fashions I've ever seen. None of them make any sense.
U wave ur hands around in a meaningless way - a bit distracting
Well there's not a lot I can do about that I'm afraid :(
@@Thestyleinsider. u don't have control of ur hands?
Perhaps it's not meaningless for Léonie. Some people gesticulate more than others and that's the way they express themselves

Omigod, please ignore this troll Leonie!
Why are you posting pictures of models with their breast showing? That is so unprofessional
What’s unprofessional about the human body?
I appreciate when the clothes are more modest. It requires more talent to make a beautiful garment that is modest.
Why is it unprofessional?
The satin trenches look more like a pajama robe
Yes, hahaha!
I'm a classic girl at heart. If it's not necessarily in style it can't go out of style either. I like looking at trendy stuff on others. That's as far as i go with it. Greetings, Leonie. Happy new year🎉

You lucky! I wish I have one😮! Lenin is always a legend
Sounds like a real keeper 🙌🏼

Maybe for the rose trend, an easy way to incorporate this would be to add a rose pin on a denim or other style jacket.
I’m not a fan of mixing bright colors with black or bright white. It’s too jarring. I prefer mixing with navy, gray, camel, beige, or winter white. Love your channel. Happy new year!
Sounds great - thank you 🤩
I love classic and Preppy styles.
Me too!
I’m am here for the yellows… especially warm iterations like mustard. It’s my absolute most favourite colour to wear. So confident and different!
I can see a rose as a graphic tee, with jeans and a blazer. That may be it for me. Kate Spade makes some pretty black bags with red roses on them, that may be a fun accent. Happy New Year Leoni, cheers!

For 2024, I'll be shopping my closets and restyling more pieces as I do from year to year.
Greetings from Los Angeles
I love that you'll be shopping your closet and reworking some of the pieces you already own.
I totally agree with all u said! I'll also be restyling my closet gems!
I'm all for the elegant classics. They never go out of style, and one always looks polished in them.
Thanks for the shout out to Zambesi. If I could fit my pieces from the '80s I would absolutely still be wearing them as the fabrics are so good and the designs so funky they transcend all the fly by night trends.
Same Sandy :(
I absolutely love “classic dressing”.
I’m a fan of mixing and matching. Classics with a twist.
I have a couple of trench coats, and my favorite is a magenta/ hot pink vintage London Fog.
Sounds fab 🤩
Hi, I love your chanel, and all the contents that you created. I wish that you could talk about the clothes that you are wearing in every video.
Greetings from Santiago de Chile
Oh that's great to know - I'll definitely do that in the future. Thanks x
Wow they sound amazing! What is her brand name? How can I see her work?
I’ve got some fabulous vintage/antique Eisenberg, Schiaparelli fur pins that would work great with some of these trends. I’ll be adding them in the mix!
classic and high & belted waists? i'm in!!
Primary colours - I'd say it would be look best to wear them head to toe... 😄
True!
Do you think a shirt dress and jeans are still in style for 2024?
Hi Leonie, love your videos! The rosettes are very pretty but I probably won't be wearing them. Feathers remind me of the cheap boas people wore and all the feathers fell off so that is a definite no for me :)
Thanks for sharing!!
