I absolutely love this Camaro, but here are some things I believe GM should fix!

@@yellowgold Now there’s a recall from 2018 to 2022 for transmission issues. When backing up I heard a very loud shuddering noise. I thought I may have left the parking break on, but I hadn’t. It happened again about a week later. I just received a letter in the mail regarding this specific issue. I’m so glad I sold mine a month ago. I would never buy another one.
The skip shift was put in place to ✌🏻increase fuel economy✌🏻 and therefore saved us over a $1000 on the gas guzzler tax…it’s a $15 part to fix it

I agree, and if they don't make an effort here, it's a missed opportunity to reaffirm just how good this car is.
An easy way to fix this is to offer a "collectors package" that incorporates the improvements you have suggested. Serious Camaro owners would immediately see the short and long-range value in such an offering. This would be a no-brainer option to choose.
I dont know what happened to my last commentary which wasnt offensive in the least, but this is a sports car folks that has one of the best chassis EVER in the world of touring cars, and 55k is a absolute steal. A BMW M3 is a 120,000 dollar car with a lesser chassis than a Camaro, and engine. At less than 10k invested in aftermarket parts, this Camaro utterly destroys both M3 and M4 cars to this day. Not really much to complain about. Does anyone actually know how cheap dash cams are?
Totally agree with you on these points. I have a 16 camaro and I just bought a 21 vette, waiting for it to be transported to Hawaii. Keep up the good content, new to the channel.

I agree that the interior is too plasticated for this price point. I'll guess there is an aftermarket steering wheel that suits your taste.
Have my 2SS for 2.5 years agree front camera would be nice, they should’ve at least made it an option. Going over hills and pulling out of spots have to be VERY cautious. But going to miss the controlled rawness and exhaust of the 2SS when I look at a C8, it commands more respect on the road than I thought it would too

@@josepineda9740 yea, or maybe ZL1 or bmw z4 m40i, but that’s a strong maybe. IMO there is no better value than the C8 right now and nothing coming out for the next few years in comparable value.
@@demouptown4957 ahhh I had a 2ss in 2021 lost it due to this girl I meet ,I drive a 370z nismo , I miss my Camaro everyday , it had everything , but that “ 1le package “ , I’m saving my money trying to get a ZL1 🙌🏻 but how market is , sorta expensive. 60k for a 2018 zl1 if u can find it with mid range miles like 30k , but even then a zo6 is 70-80k but u have opinions 😮💨👀👀 my brotha , don’t think either or would be bad & YEAH THOSE M340i are something else but nothing beats the rawness of a v8 and if it’s manual 💯

No front cameras was a shock to me for 55k. My wife's 39k Equinox even has them.🤔

I think Chevy never thought about it during the original six gen reveal due to competition not offering as well. Later on it was too late, especially with the chip and supply chain shortage.

@@mikesowell7969 Everything is now. It is loaded and all wheel drive but still not worth 39k. Even though kind of cheap junk my wife seems to like it. Lol
4k front dash cams are less than 200 bucks folks. The chassis alone beats a 120,000 dollar car. If you spent 70k more in aftermarket parts, you can easily make a race car. There is no deal like this in the auto industry, and you can't build a Mustang to this cars track capabilities.

My ‘18 SS m6 is my next vehicle out. Gotta see who has the better options/price for the ‘24 zl1 or ‘24 c8. I’m so undecided, cause I’ll miss my manual wit the camaro but I’m on my 4th camaro & I think it’s time to move on
You're so correct about the 6 gen camaro. My 2022 2ss interior front dash and console I am changing it to all carbon fiber because of the plastic
That's what I'm doing at this time. I don't race my car because I want my car to be cherry for a long time. I bought carbon fiber side skirts from American muscle and carbonadon for my inside
I think you're being a little too picky. I had a 2022 Camaro 1LE 2SS while I was waiting for my C8 Vette to be built.. I love a skinny steering wheel. You have less hand fatigue. Also the only thing I actually hated on mine was the wireless charging. It's in the back seat and it only is large enough to fit an iPhone if you have a Samsung Android phone, it's useless. The Camaro is a smaller car than the Vette. Not fair to compare it to German made cars. But You Do You!

I have an "18 2SS 1LE. Watching your video is kind of surreal because absolutely nothing has changed on the interior at all. Except the SS on your center console. Im not as annoyed about the thinish steering wheel as i am that its diameter is kind of small and i have to tuck my elbows in a bit and Im a bigger guy. In any car there is room for improvement. But these small issues only endear me to the car more. In contrast to the engine, chassis and breaks ,mag ride and e diff 6 pot brembos.And considering the absolute feeling of driving on rails on vented recaros. I think we both know that as The Rock says " IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER"😎 love the channel. If you want a content idea it would be cool to see if you can get with BMR and get some traction mods for launches. Thats been my only gripe and thats with all front engine rear wheel hi hp cars. But if this car could sit down better on take off i would be quite happy.

and do a better job on the 2024 model Camaro.
To fix the shift skip just pull it out of first gear and let the shifter spring to it's center position. Then just pull the shifter to the left and go ahead and shift to second gear. It only takes a split second if you leave your handlightly on the shifter and don't fight it. Practice makes perfect. I can do it to mine in a millisecond. Try it out.

All your points are interesting and valid IMO, but obviously not enough to be deal breakers for most buyers. But as you said Mike "What the heck GM, what the heck Chevy?" Save the Wave 🙋♂
My 2007 Corvette has the same issue with the seat memory. Sometimes it just goes braindead for a cycle and then just magically works. It is not just your Camaro. I have seen reports across the GM lineup of this for years.
They wont be making any changes to the 2024 before it gets axed. Makes no financial sense. That being said, owned a Camaro for 8 mos. and dumped it. The interior was a big let down to me and driving it felt like I was in a tank.
I have a 2022 ZL1 ,,I agree it needs a front camera,,I can imagine the cost of caving in my front splitter,,,I added a cheap backup camera for $35 and it works great but I wish it was built in,,,my backup camera has really weak lines,,,hardly noticeable. And no garage door opener???
To adjust the exit setting; go into the vehicle setting and set it in the comfort section.
I had the same problem as you, but once I set it, the problem went away.

Agree with you and strong dislikes for the Camaro over time are the Circular HVAC Vents and Instrument Pods.
GM isn’t looking into dropping any more money on an outgoing model, don’t ya think?

Skip shift is easy fix just plug in the CAGS plug you can get for $10 plug in the transmission takes 5min and never have to skip shift again.
I want a new Camaro, any dealers recommended on the east coast?
Wish rev match would stay on.
@@ninjasarereal5883 supposedly the reasoning is to minimize rev match when engine is cold.
@@ninjasarereal5883 possible, but they do make certain options available before other brands. Elsd, coolers tremec, rev match etc.
Skip shift saves you from paying the Gas Guzzler tax on the SS 6 speed. Notice, the ZL1 does not have skip shift but you have to pay the tax. Even with skip shift enabled, the LT4 would still be subject to the tax, so they omitted the feature. Just order the eliminator plug and you won't have to worry about it.

This skip shift isn’t a problem as people make it out to be. All you have to do is keep it in gear longer so the rpms raise higher and that feature disengages. You get to hear the glorious sound of that exhaust longer and eliminates that feature. Two wins
The skip shift has nothing to do with the gas guzzler tax. It’s due to the supercharged LT4.
Bro, I have the 21 SS 1LE and you just have to know how to drive it without camera's... It's 50K... It not a supercar...

To make the seat go back when you open the door . Try putting the hand brake on before turning the car off. Since I have done that no more issue
It must be set in the comfort section of the vehicle setting.

Nice looking car. I can't stand Alcantara though - that steering wheel and seats are going to look like ass in a year or two. I will not be getting the 1LE package for that reason.

I love my 2023 2SS with the 1LE package. Except for one BIG annoying thing. Chevy locks you out of 2nd gear some tines, under certain conditions. I have the 6 speed. Obviously. This ruins an otherwise great car!
You forgot to mention the cluster gauge cause how bland it is to look at compared to dodge and ford

@@Chardonnay666 not at all. It's a little adapter that just plugs in to the transmission. Super easy to put on and doesn't throw codes or anything
GM hs had cheap plastic interiors for decades. But, enough ppl buy them that they don't care.
I drove the camaro as a rental...absolutely disgustingly poor visibility rearward and HUGE blindspots...BAD design and will not ever drive another.
The blindspots felt so large I was very very reluctant even to change lanes...my 2005 M3 is superior in every way except for HP/Torque
You have to set your side mirrors correctly and then you won’t have a problem ever again.

You are way exaggerating the blind spots and the view. Yes it is less than normal but you adapt and learn to deal with it. 2ss model helps with blind spot monitoring

How can you compare a Camaro interior to a BMW M4? You keep stressing 55k. M4 is a lot more for your 55k you got a rental car with a great drive train, brakes, suspension that’s what your paying for. That’s why it drives and eats up the track. Nothing else can for that price point.
