Love the way a world class player mentioned how difficult that shot is. We weekend warriors think we can pull it off. Also, thank you for teaching us to respect the grain.
You gotit, Gator. What I find impressive/scary is the number of things he's thinking about simultaneously -- like he started with which direction the grass was pointed... Whew!
There was no not one back ut it is not just about you all day I Watkin I am I had that I get you and I canthis To get the Your to it for me and I’ll see
I love the video but it would be great if y'all could go into more detail about what Jon Rahm is actually talking about. Why are those lies different? What is he doing w/ the bounce to get higher/lower/more spin/less spin? Why does the type of grass make a difference?
Jon is the man I love his intensity on the golf course he is going to be something special for the golfing world. Well he already is. Jon I'm rooting for you year take it to them buddy
John your chipping lesson has helped me tremendously. It's taught me to have a repeatable setup and swing speed for each wedge based on required distance. Thanks John.
Amazing. Getting tips from one of the best golfers in the world. Most of your average golfers would’ve chunked those shots into the bunker let alone put them close
theres really no excuse to not practice pitching if you have a backyard. You'll get different lies, even different grasses. Nail down distance and feel each shot, your scores will improve dramatically
EspressoShot it’s a nod to the Spanish players and their short game skills. Especially Seve Ballesteros whose known as maybe the greatest short game player of all time. What do you think it means? 😂
I think a lot of people dislike the premiere feature and dislike the fact that it's in their subscription list but they can't watch it yet. But I agree they shouldn't dislike the specific video because of that.
So nobody gonna talk about him hitting the one bunker shot in to the same bunker while aiming towards the front of the green yestetday at the tournament...
That was super well explained. Have a look at 6:00 - he explains it well. Basically his shoulders/arms/hands/body move as one (little wrist and hand action). So, he has one feel through the swing. Pretty impressive actually. Simple. A lot of average golfers lead with the hands. He is leading with the arms.
Do you think Jon will win a major this year? If so which one? Also, how good is his short game!? Comment below
Masters 2020. Book it
US Open going to be the best place for his game I think.
Hope so, he's fantastic
He will for sure. If not this season will be the next one. Maybe US Open.
Nearly as good as my short game😌👍⛳😂

HAHAA! Great username too here

I love Jon's simplistic approach to golf! From all the pros on tour most amateurs could learn the most from him. Solid guy and golfer.
Glad you enjoyed it.
"3 different lies: these two won't spin, and that one will. You have to know the difference."
They all looked the exact same to me haha 🤣
You gotit, Gator. What I find impressive/scary is the number of things he's thinking about simultaneously -- like he started with which direction the grass was pointed... Whew!
I’d be over the moon with any of them lies in the uk right now 😂
David Lloyd-Jones that's why he gets paid to play, and not the other way around hahaha 🤣
@@gatorwhiskers9011 Yup!
I like this more conversational format. Good stuff.
Great. This was unplanned. He was available so we thought we would ask him a few questions.
There was no not one back ut it is not just about you all day I Watkin I am I had that I get you and I canthis To get the Your to it for me and I’ll see
I agree it feels more organic and a lot more real conversation, less scripted good video
I love the video but it would be great if y'all could go into more detail about what Jon Rahm is actually talking about. Why are those lies different? What is he doing w/ the bounce to get higher/lower/more spin/less spin? Why does the type of grass make a difference?

So many different ways to play this. And even when using technique that he’s “not totally comfortable” with, such master class.
Exactly, You have to find what works for you. Jn shows that there are so many ways to do it.
Gotta love Jon Rahm! Well done guys for getting him to show us his best short-game stuff. I see a fair bit of Seve in Rahmbo.
Thanks Tigger, Jon was awesome!
@@meandmygolf. Just goes to show you can generate phenomenal distance with a [relatively] truncated backswing.
@@meandmygolf. And he continues to be awesome in Mexico! Must have benefitted from your advice.
Love his attitude and approach. One of the top 5 on the tour, no doubt want to see him win a major this year.
How can you not like this guy. He’s one of the best on tour. Down to earth and a fabulous player. And I live Jon’s swing. 😄👍🏻⛳️
Yes, great guy and super player!! He will have a great year.
John your chipping lesson has helped me tremendously. It's taught me to have a repeatable setup and swing speed for each wedge based on required distance.
Thanks John.
Awesome to hear a player like
Jon talk about how he goes about hitting shots!
This is amazing! Super simple insight and usually means he has loads of talent.
I love watching Jon Rahm playing golf!
Jon is one of my favorites
Love is swing
Would love to see a full swing with the irons
I like his comment about dragging the edge all the way through and keeping his body moving. Rotating all the way through.
His chipping is impeccable 🎈🎈
Amazing. Getting tips from one of the best golfers in the world. Most of your average golfers would’ve chunked those shots into the bunker let alone put them close
Yes such an unbelievable player. Excited too see what he does this year.
What I like about John Rahm is that he finds out what works for him, including his full swing, then just practises that.
JR’s technique is so good. Keeping it simple
Probably the best player around the green right now. Super Rahmbo!
Unbelievable JG.

short game masterclass by 2023 master's champion Jon Rahm!
Great new video format
That's what i see with many pros, they play with hands forward and hold the angle , not what all coaches say releasing early and using the bounce.
Now that is MASTERCLASS - Jon rocks
Glad you enjoyed it Henrik.
Great clip. I would love to see more detail. In ball position on each lie. wrist shape /position in the contact and and backswing. body weight .
God how....tour pros just completely incomprehensible how good they are
Rahmbo is amazing. Future world number 1.
Yes we certainly think so.
Sweet !! That is what I plan to do forever. Hold and spin those hips. Nice.
Let’s go can’t wait!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Most certainly did, Mr. Rahm should squeeze out some nice wins this year. *Question where is the low point in a 60 degree shot ??*
Classy player. Great to watch.
This helped a lot, thanks guys 🙏
Hope it was useful.
Awesome skills.
It really was Rob.
You guys need a super like button for this vid. Great watch.
Thanks for video i was struggling with Deep divots when i use shaft lean, now i know how
what bit helped you?
Glad this was useful.
Great player 👍
What I got from that.... He hits hundreds of wedges a day. Not a half dozen before a round and expect good results.
Great vlog I think he will win one this year
Glad you enjoyed it Pete. What a player.
I wish that I could see the lies closeup so that I could understand the grain of the grass tip.
He has so much embedded knowledge it's scary
Unbelievable.
Great informative video 🤘
Excellent!!
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 3 different shots in 3 feet.
Class act
What a player.
RAHMBO!!!
"If I were really trying to hole it I would do it like this..."
*ball almost goes in the hole*
That was good!
Oh what a year 2020 has turned out...😂 let’s hope for a better 2021🙏
I hope so. He's been struggling on the weekends lately though, and his driver let him down this past weekend.
Yeh he will be back though. Such a competitor!
Rahm can't be bothered with these 2 bananas🤣
Maybe we can get Patrick reed on bunker shots next video
That would be great
Is that the Floridian Golf Club in west palm FL?
Yes
Palm City, Fl
Yes Marty. Beautiful place.
Jon is such a feel player... Difficult to adopt, unless you hit a lot of balls 😄
Great video
Thanks Callum.
The Spanish short game is just that little bit different
What do you mean
He’s got Spanish hands
Kimchicracker again not sure what that means
EspressoShot it’s a nod to the Spanish players and their short game skills. Especially Seve Ballesteros whose known as maybe the greatest short game player of all time. What do you think it means? 😂
J.R. ,hmmm I gotta feeling his short game is really good?! Hmm maybe I will use him in my draft pick???🧐🤔 🏌️ ⛳️
Here in Jan 2025 to watch the master class P & A we’re just talking about! 🙏👍
It would have been a plus to see how close the shots were...
hes the no1!!!
he's so personable.
9:48 😂
Wam bam thank you Rahm
Trottie and the other TM guys should watch your videos and learn how to let the guest be the star, well done lads.
wait how can you give a thumbs down before its even released? you havnt even seen the content yet?
Steve wherry- probably because they don’t like Jon Rahm.
I think a lot of people dislike the premiere feature and dislike the fact that it's in their subscription list but they can't watch it yet. But I agree they shouldn't dislike the specific video because of that.
You gotta remember the internet it full of trolls. I doubt they even watched the video.
Is that Henrik Stenson?
What's the season like for you whats the plans? Erm.....shhhh
Read the grain on a chip ? most amateurs don't even read grain on greens.
Golf today is such a hurried activity there's little time for even basic reads and strategy
@@bpdance2174 Yeah really hurried .....4 to 5 hours for a round.
Did see his set up from the face angle you guys cut it off .....
6:48 Is that Matt wolf yelling wow at him?
Does he ever duff a shot ?, I think not.😂
wow
MeandMyGolf: "What's your season like? Long season?"
John Rahm: "Very long season..."
Narrator: "It would not be a very long season."
Just be careful when you press down on the grass behind your ball.
6:50 right side 😉😍
I'm the guy in the background at 5:05...
Don't let the fame go to your head mate.
It would take me 100 years to learn all this. Against the grain? Bermuda grass? wtf snoop dog
PUTTING TIPS FROM JON PLEASE !!!! LIKE IF YOU AGREE
I was standing behind this dude at Riviera for the genesis invitational yesterday and he duffed his chip lol
Maybe we rubbed off on him😂😂
@@meandmygolf. 😂😂
So nobody gonna talk about him hitting the one bunker shot in to the same bunker while aiming towards the front of the green yestetday at the tournament...
And people say a short backswing dosent work bullshit
Loving the camera girl .. looks so cute :-)
Nobody talking about the fit camera girl! Lol.
Spanish hands.
Everyone listen.
Camera work is terrible !
This video needs subtitles! HA! Speaking in their native dialects.
No
What a waste of time for an average golfer. Just because you play well doesn’t mean you can explain
That was super well explained. Have a look at 6:00 - he explains it well. Basically his shoulders/arms/hands/body move as one (little wrist and hand action). So, he has one feel through the swing. Laying y lying NO ES LO MISMO ......
