Range Talk Episode 4: Jon Rahm | The golf ball is the best teacher
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- Jon Rahm’s secret is in his swing. Many coaches tried to change his backswing - to make it longer, to make it more “normal.” But Rahm refused to change. Instead, he listened to his body and made his disadvantages work for him.
Callaway Golf’s “Range Talk'' is a fun and authentic profile series hosted by Roger Steele. Roger set’s out to have the rillest conversations in golf history with absolute legends.

Shout to Roger for being able to bring out the best of each guest. So much better than cookie-cutter interviews.
Agreed. I like this style of interviewing. Seems much different than the norm.
Yo, Why is my money in your bank account?
@@JZ-xu3vg I paused it because I was laughing too hard!
@@brianr6661 1. pause!
2. rewind!
3. watch again
4. deliberate
5. Almost meme(able)
agreed
This was my first episode and won't be my last. Roger is authentic and genuine. Man, this was good.
Roger sets out to have the rillest conversations in golf history. Most aren't looking for those conversations. Callaway must be desperate, trying to gain a new audience.
@@littlelarry2912 I wouldn’t say desperate. Thats a negative look on it. Maybe they are breaking the mold and opening themselves up to a wider audience.
@@littlelarry2912 yeah I wouldn't say desperate at all, they're just getting with the times. Golf isn't the stuffy game it used to be, it's a game for everyone. Making it more fun and candid is better for the game as a whole, not just Callaway
Golf conversations are now official history. Got it.
@@francisbaconstrip7224 Yes, on Liberal/Socialist UA-cam they may be. But Golfers could care less about those conversations. These are just desperate attempts by Callaway. And any other company using UA-cam for the Liberal filter. Next Callaway will have BLM logos on their gear and require vaccine and mask for purchase. The cult will follow......
These raw interviews are 100% better than the normal formal 5 questions that nobody cares about. People like to relate to people and this is very relatable. Also love the sound of impact. Great mic placement.
This is a fantastic interview.
My only small critique is to show how far he’s actually carrying the ball when the Pro Tracer is on. When it cuts when the ball is mid flight then what’s the point?
you bet $5 on what square it actually stops rolling.
I’m a new to golf, and I’m from the hood. Roger is the first person in the golf world I’ve watched that made me feel like I could relate. Don’t change yourself for nobody! He’s a real one ☝️
i thought the same thing and only reason I subbed dude seems like a good dude
That’s dope
Welcome to the golf world!
Lookup eastside golf. They are a great follow and definitely bring some culture to golf I appreciate.
You can't relate to someone who doesn't sound like they grew up in an ethically-challenged neighborhood?
Maybe the problem is that golf is not really your game...you should stick to sports that are more "hood"...
This is such a fresh take on the golf interview. Probably not for everyone, but I definitely love how Roger gets these high profile players to relax and be themselves more. Keep it coming please!
💯 Love Roger
We think anything that makes golf more approachable is for everyone. We are all in this together against those 18, 9 or as many as you feel like playing today holes.
@@callawaygolf love it!
The "Roger sets out to have the rillest conversations". Callaway must be trying to draw in that crowd. That no one else wants.
@@littlelarry2912 “That crowd”. Can you elaborate?
Alright, fine, I’ll say it. My man Roger is caked tf up. Goddamn that man been doing his lunges
19:23 what’s the name of that song? Nice music in the video.
This was so good. Jon is such a relaxed, confident guy. I actually like the fact that he shows frustration on the course, like a normal person. He’s very down to Earth, and comfortable in his own skin. With a lot of professional athletes, I feel like we only get to see a “front”.
Its an american thing, using masks!
Jon is trying to be polite. YEAH SO YOU KNOW RAP!!!!!
"Uh…I would not have gotten a degree"
Thank you Callaway. The most authentic golfing interview I’ve seen in the golfing space. Look forward to seeing more of this.
John Rahm is such a polite man. I could listen to him talk for hours about pretty much any topic
Who cares?
@@MyMg23 to all those who are not rac*st americans like you😂
@@PriWolf umm what?
Holy! The sound when Rahm strikes the ball. OMG! WOW!
Major props to Callway for picking up Steele. Don't change nothin'. Charismatic and intelligent questions. Engaging at the start. Cheehoo to more great golf content!
Buddy caked up too😫
Jon is trying to be polite.
Dudes got back
Shout out to Roger great interview. John is extremely humble and open. Callaway is way ahead of the game actually giving the fans what they want.
Wow, need more of this Roger!! That was the most laid back, cool interview ever. Loved the "charitable request" to be his partner in the Zurich!! 🤣 Rahm, we all know is cool, you are a breath of fresh air sir!!
I've always been a huge fan of Jon Rahm. After watching this he goes down as one of my top five favorite PGA Tour players.
Hello 👋Sorry for the random approach you seem to be an ambitious individual which gives me the idea to know if you’re open minded to look into a new way of generating an income,it may or may not be a fit for you, but if I send you some info would you check it out?
Where are the comments mentioning rahm just casually striping iron after iron after iron in the middle of a conversation
Great interviewer and great interview! My second one and this dude is really good and funny and natural at interviewing! Love to hear how great athletes became great by persevering through the challenges they faced! Very motivational!
Dude, why are your pants so tight?! 😂
Thanks for doing this Callaway Golf. What a wonderful video! Both did a great job!
Thanks for watching Larry!
As an amateur golfer born with club feet, I totally relate, and have mad respect for Jon. Love this series.
My 13 yr old was born with a right club foot also!! He had surgery at 3 yrs old. He used to have to sleep with a special foot brace on with the left foot locked in and the right foot locked in on a angle. He has a bit of a limp when he tries to run. But nothing slows him down if he sets his mind to it!!🙏😎💪
In this day of cars and bikes, running is far overrated!
Yeah. We need more of Roger. It's awesome that you have him his own playlist.
Keep doing your thing Roger! Dope interviews. Shout out to Callaway for recognizing talent and showcasing it!
Those are some serious fucking legs.
This Roger guy is so good. I could watch him "interview" anyone. It's refreshing to see someone ask real questions and have a real conversation. Great video.
Roger bringing the cake
Great interview!!! To be honest, I didn’t like Rahm after the one Ryder Cup, but after seeing him in a few interviews, especially this one, he’s grown to be one of my favorites…
It’s awesome to come back and watch this after Rahm’s victory at The Masters. He definitely deserved the win.
So true.
“You would have gotten a degree in my neighborhood” 😂😂😂😂
Also at @33:24 after John hits a drive and continues to talk like nothing happened "that's disgusting"😂😂😂
Amazing interview!
Best part: 33:17 - That's disgusting 😂
Damn! The sound on those iron shots! 😳
Roger has a lot of charisma and empathy as a communicator. Great interview! Jon's amazing!
Let’s GO!!!!! Range talk is real deal. Great guests great content.
Thug Life meets the Country Club... Nice
John Rahm = Amazing dude. My dream would be to drink 16 beers with this dude and then wake up at 7 am and let him destroy me on the golf course.
Wish I had a short crispy swing like Rahmbo. Mines always been long loose and all over the shop!
Great interview. Great series. Rahm is low-key, humble, and talented AF. A great life, and golf, example. And listen to the way he just pounds those irons!
Rahmbo is such a awesome guy and a wonderful, marvelous, golfer. I hope Rahm brings home the Green Jacket 2022
Love this take!
this aged well
Thats disguising LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL HAHAHAHAHAHA MASSIVE DRIVE BY RAHMBO!!!
This was riveting. Super entertaining to watch and "real" doesn't seem to even come close.
Jesus Rahm just rippin' it here, don't think he hit a bad shot the whole time
great interview. best i’ve seen - awesome format and host. fantastic question …
Roger is high key one of the best interviewers in golf. Such a cool ability to help other people be comfortable enough to come out their shell on camera. Great video!
Bro,I love this host. We need him at PGA events, Roger was hilarious and brought some street cred to golf. Love it!!!
Found the series through this episode. Love the interview style, feels like just a conversation more than anything!
Interesting that Jon couldn't speak English 8 years ago and now he is far more fluent than Roger. Roger struggles with basic sentence structure and tenses.
I love this. We need more of these videos!!
Dude's swole as fuck.
Bro I’m sorry but it’s gotta be said… my man Roger is caked tf up.
Roger's pants are to baggy
Pants could be a little tighter if you ask me
Roger Steele is thicc. I need his leg workout
seriously, is there anybody else who can strike a golf ball like this guy?
Roger Steele is good for golf. I've been following him for a while. He drops some of the heaviest truth on golfers that I've ever heard. "You're gonna be trash...And you're gonna be trash for a long ass time." That's probably my favorite. "A lot of y'all 'bout to miss."
I was surprised when TM dropped Rahm but a good pick up for C'way.
Think he could've taken a bit more interest in the host's swing thou, but I guess he likes the limelight...
Biggest takeaway for me is develop yr own swing..unless its shite haha
First off, I wasn't a Jon Rahm fan. I respected his game, but never really thought that much of him. I now understand why he's so well liked by others on the tour. I am a fan now. Being a Boomer, I'm wouldn't really be into Roger's smack talking style, but he's really a bright, warm individual who is a really good interviewer. I really enjoyed this chat, fun and informal. Well done Roger and Jon. I'll be checking out more Range Talk.
Roger looking THICC boooiiiiii
1:30 in and I knew I'd like this guys videos
Love Roger as a host! Letting him be him is what makes me love this series even more. Genuine character makes for great content.
So wholesome and inspiring! Makes me want to practice a shorter swing
First video watched.. This guy is the positive change to the game! Keep rollin.
After Jon Rahm's 1st Driver Swing: "That's disgusting." LOL
Great interview! First time I saw John play I was impressed with him. Was rooting for him to win the Masters this year 2023. He pulled it off. Best day of watching golf for me since I watched Jack Nicklaus win his green jacket. You handled your self perfectly. Brought a whole new light on this man for me. I am a fan of him and truly wish him and his family the best. Thanks again. PS love Callaway for all they do for us amateurs. Finding a Callaway ball someone lost on the course is like finding gold...lol. 😁😉
So much better than typical canned interviews that come out dry and flat. This one had heart, feeling, and humor.
my god that ball sounds insane coming off that club when he grabs the longer club
Best interviewer I've ever seen and heard. Roger you're a class act man. John Rahm is also a classy and genuine human being.
Steele got that wedding cake sheeshhh
Rog for prez
Golf needs more Roger in general
💯
Minus the tight ass pants 🤦🏻♂️
Rahm is a beautiful humble guy. Love him!
Jon is now my favorite golfer! Great guy!
John rahm class act as always
Why didn't you just ask Rambo to hand you $100k for your charity?
Great video, Roger has a great personality.
best golfer in the world from the basque country
Phwoar that ball striking sound with a good headphones sounds awesome
Respect for Jhon, he had to suffer during college and still today many people only Focus on him because is temperamental, it's ridiculous. Such a great player and better person, a real guy who speaks with the heart on his hands.
I love watching Rahm. Incredible talent.
Outstanding interview! I felt like I really got to know him and am now an even greater fan of Rahmbo!!! First time seeing Roger Steele, great work!
Roger is what golf needed! And so did the culture.
Amazing stuff here! Great job fellas.
The sound of his contact... the shorter clubs sounded like the ball turned to mush...and the divots seem so shallow...
I'm blown away that this content is coming from a big name sponsor. Really good interview. Great report 👏. New fan of the series. Thanks
Probably one of the coolest interview session to watch!
Hello 👋Sorry for the random approach you seem to be an ambitious individual which gives me the idea to know if you’re open minded to look into a new way of generating an income,it may or may not be a fit for you, but if I send you some info would you check it out?
YOU NEED>>>>>>>>an IrishAmerican to do this program, instead of this guy!!
His greatest accomplishment in life is finding the right woman in college before you’re filthy rich.
Great story about his wife (then girlfriend) picking up the tab when she found out he wasn’t always eating a “balanced” meal for dinner! I know he showers that woman with gifts, she deserves it👏🏾
Huh! Who is this guy??
Bro is caked up
The interview was good and all but the sound of his iron shots is just too satisfying 🤩
Fantastic video! Love him even more now
First thing Rahm asked, "How many hours a day are you practicing?"...No way around it. Becoming great at anything...There is no quick fix
As a PGA Club Professional, well said. So many teachers try to teach golfers what they can't do physically, than what they can do.
My wrist was broken as a kid, my arms are short and so it's impossible for me to get the club past 3/4 without my left arm collapsing like a lawn chair in the wind.
Great banter and adds a nice human touch to one of the most fascinating ball hitters of his generation.
Loose Pants.
Catching up late but caught up in time to support. From the corner (SS) country club😂 keep growing will keep supporting
If an American nicknames you rahmbo he absolutely means no disrespect.. Rahm has such a smooth short swing dudes swing is like melted butter he's one of my favorite players to watch him Ricky Fowler I know spieth has had some downtimes but he's still a favorite too alot of talent these days... Also if you guys love good golf content check out Bryan bros golf those dudes are awesome and Wesley Bryan literally has some of the best iron and wedge play I've ever seen
"exactly" at 10:03 hysterical
UH YEAH I KNOWZ SOMETIN TOO
Roger, you're a fantastic interviewer. Don't change for anyone. This was fantastic.
Probably the best golf I’ve ever watched
