Your channel has grown substantially since I last watched (think it was around 1-5k). Well deserved! Amazing that Morrowind still attracts players after all these years. Still dreaming of a full playthrough of my own... one day!
Ah yes, we've been expecting you. You'll have to be recorded before you are officially released. There are a few ways we can do this, and the choice is yours.
I just rewatched ep1 original series. You mentioned that the game was just island vardenfel, and maybe someday we’ll be able to visit all of morrowind! So prophetic. Also you laughed same way at “favorite friend”.
In unmodded TES3, that first dagger you see is a unique weapon, because it's identical to every other Iron Dagger in all ways save one: It's only worth 1 gold, all others are worth 10. Some modders "correct" this "mistake" but they are objectively wrong. And it's existence doesn't really need an explanation, but: If you save it all the way to your FINAL save, you can load that up, check out your collection of stuff, find this dagger, and wonder, "Why the hell did I save this," and then notice the value, and then...remember where it, and you, came from.
TTF Fonts for OpenMW will do the trick for the text. OpenMW has built-in support for fonts, so the process is different than installing a texture mod. It’s easy though! Also, sorry I’m treating this like a live chat? I should probably just wait till the end to compose one long comment, but I definitely won’t…
I'm excited to be able to be part of a series from the start! Looking forward to the playthrough and am all for the self-imposed restrictions. Something else I'd consider (if it wasn't mentioned before) would be to ease up on using training. Granted Morrowind doesn't have proper level scaling, Chapter One got a bit boring when you got too OP too quickly. Of course, playing a game is supposed to be fun, so you do you.
Yeah, trying to minimize training could be worth doing. Though I might try to make use of the hostile trainers this time around before if I can remember to do it.If I hit a wall, it wouldn't be too hard to go track down some trainers.
I've just discovered your channel and love Morrowind Mondays! I joined a virtual running challenge and run on my treadmill an hour everyday - while watching your Morrowind Monday videos! So much fun!! except when I get too into it and you make a sudden turn :D I'll watch chapter 2 once I finish all vids of chapter 1 :D lots of running awaits ;)
Oh shit, it's a brand new playthrough! I thought you were gonna continue from where you left off last time. This is very exciting, maybe I'll finally be able to follow the let's play consistently! I really like that this playthrough is gonna keep the vanilla faces, there's something charming about them. The graphics mod also looks great, while also keeping the atmosphere of vanilla Morrowind. I think Ergalla's note that the choice is yours describes the game itself pretty well.
Oh my God, that bubbling sound made when you pick up potions and the like unlocked a core memory of me watching my Dad play this game when I was younger. So glad I found this playlist~!
Early marksman weapons? AH YES, the cave just north of town with all the smugglers usually has throwing weapons or bows in it for me. Could be a good early source of weaponry if your fists will suffice there :P
Tamriel_Data has a bunch of new assets, including plenty for chargen! If you want access to absolutely ALL of them at chargen, grab ‘Tamriel Unlimited’ from the nexus (I think it’s buried in the optional files of a mod called “mai’q on the mainland” or something?? but a search should do the trick)
I always put a lot of effort into making the chars face in every TES game...then I end up wearing an Ordinator helm in Morrowind, Glass helmet in Oblivion, and a Dragon Preacher mask in Skyrim.
ahh, I remember finding out how OP Bound Longbow was with a marksman and magicka-oriented character... :'^) the fargoth thing kinda makes sense now that i think about it? maybe arrille has some xenophobia and needs convincing that you won't take crap, like a lot of people in these kinds of areas?
I have never watched or played Morrorwind and I feel like a failure because Dunmer is my favorite race, lol. I am excited for this! and holy shit, dude! your subscriber count has jumped up so much and I am so happy for you and you totally deserve it!
28:45 Never heard or did that... BUT... "soultrap+fortify att" = 1000 in all except speed and strength NOT RECOMMENDED FYI!. Every weapon breaks upon first use, and speed could cause pc crashes.
Have a question you may be able to answer. Try making a spell with levitation on target or touch with say 60 second duration and with the magnitude set to 0, cast it on a bunch of NPCS, what is happening exactly?
If you set it the magnitude to 1, it kinda puts them on roller skates, they can vibrate sometimes along the floor unable to defend themselves. It's a great spell, the 60 second duration might be a bit overkill, even 4 or 5 seconds can render a room paralyzed if it's on target with a little bit of area effect
I wonder why it's that exact amount. Maybe it's supposed to add up to a hundred or two hundred after you take the gold from the locked chest and some of the containers.
Echoing what Lukas said, it's so bizarre to me that it's 87 gold. I was wondering if 87 was meant to correspond to maybe something happening in 1987. I checked and Bethesda Softworks was founded one year prior in '86. Maybe it's tied to the birthday of a child that someone had?
