I am the youngest of my family too..I’m a joker and am still proud of a joke I made… we were all in a car and my dad was trying to kill a mosquito but kept missing. After what seemed like a dozen tries suddenly the mosquito was missing and dad continued to search for it…to which I quipped, “it must’ve died of old age.”
I listened to Jim’s book on audible and it is soooo good. Just completely amusing, no boring bits. It is a great listen and his love for his wife is just inspiring
Were you always close to her or did you go through a rough period in your teen years? Asking for a friend (who's struggling to connect with her young adult son).
I remember the cartoon he and Conan O'Brien did called "PALE FORCE" as well as his infamous Hot-Pockets routine. Truly, one of the all-time greatest stand-up comics.
Imagine grinding it out for years finding your footing with very little return, then carving out a career and making the long climb all the way up to Seinfeld. So happy for Jim.
I know my dad and I have similar enough voices that people have mistaken us on the phone and yet, all my adult life, when I do an impression of him I do a much deeper, gruffer voice.
I used to do the same thing make my parents laugh. Especially my mom when i took care her with dementia it was the Best time i had watching her laugh ❤
Last week I saw Jim Gaffigan, Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Shumar and a couple other comedians in NYC at Carnegie Hall and in my opinion Jim was the funniest of them all.
I am the youngest of the family. My dad was SO MEAN to me. All I remember when I was young as him yelling at me when he got home from flying airplanes. I can hear his voice in my head right now yelling my name.
I was like Jim Gaffigan with my mom. The most important thing for me was making my mother laugh. I would get her attention and stick out my tongue slightly to the side like the cartoon Tom & Jerry. Jerry (the mouse) would always stick out his tongue sideways in Triumph when escaping from Tom (the cat). But, I digress.
@@BrianPeloso-ln4ry I'm not ranking them, i think the Seinfeld show is one of the funniest and most brilliant things I've ever seen. Nobody but Jerry could do that. I just think Gaffigan is better on stage.
That Seinfeld guy that Jim is now doing shows with may be a guy I took OSHA classes with. Dear Jesus, help OSHA Jerry achieve his dreams of at least getting a spot as a referee on a UFC (MMA) fighting match. OSHA Jerry dreamed of being on Hill Street Blues as a young man. That was a wash. Good to see that Gaffigan is a helper and not a serial killer many thought he was. Amen.
One time on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld said that abortion is murder and I've always hated him since then. After that I realized all of Jerry's humor is based on him being a complete asshole to people.
Hey there from Florida here that was totally amazing want to know if the surgeon did a great job on my boob job that I ask for this year as a present um let's go in the backyard and test our that trampoline hunny
I was raised by a mom who was ajoker. But sorry gang, Seinfeld is the most unfunny person that I've ever seen. He's so bad that he sucks the funny from a room.
I don't recall Ever seeing Colbert so QUIET. He looks so pleased, and relaxed, and... tickled.
Man, I always enjoy seeing Stephen Colbert and Jim Gaffigan just talking. Their many interview through the years have always been great.
Gaffigan holds a special place in our families entertainment history. We listen to him on every camping trip. ;-)
I love Jim. He’s so funny. I always enjoy seeing him in interviews.
He's really great! ☺
Jim is like a buffet, you just want a 2nd and 3rd helping :D 😆
Wonderful interview. Really enjoyed this conversation. Got some feels and some belly laughs. Love you guys!

Not bad kid. You should look into some Marx Brothers and Don Rickles comedy.
@@hayberdasher8625 how old are you, “kid”?
@@stomashek He's old enough not to put a joke like that on the Internet. 😂😂
@@debschaefer7820what’s wrong with you? Do you need attention?
Great joke. I see your dad fighting and eventually losing against the urge to laugh.
A very funny man love His bit about being "caught" in a McDonalds by a friend.
"I just came in to use the bathroom..." Lol
I loved watching Jim during the lockdown with his kids doing normal things.
I’m in tears. I had nooo idea, even though I’ve been a fan more many years.
I listened to Jim’s book on audible and it is soooo good. Just completely amusing, no boring bits. It is a great listen and his love for his wife is just inspiring
I think making your mom happy is so affirmative that I definitely understand what he's saying.
His dad sounds like an American Sean Connery. 😂
😆
Very first thing I thought, too!
His Dad didn’t sound like a bad guy. Sean Connery was a pig.
I would like to see that first standup routine.
I watched their lock-down streams on UA-cam and Jack is absolutely hilarious.
I was raised by my mom alone and she is still my best friend 40 years later. Making her laugh is a great feeling. I get it man
The first and most appreciative audience for any young person...Mom!

@@LR-mh8hs Yes, I was pretty harsh with her as a teen. It lasted a few years, but by the time I was 18, I had gotten over that phase.

Jim one of the best. Good to see him looking healthy

Love yah Jim. 😂😂😂😂
He is a funny man
I wish Gaffigan would sit in for a week as Stephen's side kick.
That would be amazing , and hilarious!
These two connect on a deep level.
Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan on stage wow
I love Jim Gaffigan.. I have him on a loop on UA-cam while I work.. he always has original material.. love how he trolls himself.. haha
Standup filled the void the mom left in some level
Not terribly interested in seeing Seinfeld in person but I’ll suffer through it to get to Jim Gaffigan…
My ex and I went to see Seinfeld and were pleasantly surprised.
I hear you.
I would love a show with Gaffigan and Seinfeld nerding out about comedy!
I never not say hot pocket in his voice from his special!
what i love about Jim is his quirky outlook on life!
His voice is sounds like a cartoon funny as hell
Jim Gaffigan is my favorite comedian 😂
I need to hear that mouse song.
🤣
Gaffigan > Seinfeld
😎
I enjoy watching his stand up comedies on Netflix or Amazon Prime
Gaffigan is funnier than Seinfeld so it's nice of him to help him out. 😉
💯agree, I watched the Seinfeld show and while enjoying it I always been puzzled how it last that long.
@@Marcus_CaiusThe other 3 people were particularly funny
Yes! I was never a fan of his show and only watched it if I was forced to (like when visiting other ppl's homes).
Does anyone realize Gaffigan is being comically facetious about Seinfeld?

Making Mom laugh was something both have in common

Well I hope that Seinfeld guy gets a chance...it's nice of Jim to give him some time on his tour

A Night of Comedy, and also Amy Schumer.
He is so talented! I especially like how he chooses to be tasteful but he is still so dummy!
I wish Pat Sajack had come out!
Hope yall get the video uploaded for Caroline!

Hotttttttt Pockets!
Jim, I am positive that with your comedy tutelage, Jerry Seinfeld could become a household name, like Jim Gaffigan.
I don’t know this man. He needs to come to Great Britain.

Pat Sajak had his own talk show once, in the early 90's. It was short-lived.
