At 8:09 That dreamcast that was marked for 11000 yen was actually a US model 1 dreamcast. I managed to get that during the 30% off and several games. My only regret was missing out on the Limited edition Boss Coffee Minidisc and the Limited edition 500 Million PS4 Pro.

I think these idiots forget there are proxy buyers. I buy what I am missing, get the dirt cheap shipping and wait. Some stuff I buy Japanese like Atlus because the non-JP copies have no Japanese text support. I need to buy some Famicom too for a few games plus Mark III. Part of it is yes the games are rarer in the US but the other reason is the game carts have all different colors as such and the Mark III doesn't have the BLAND art the SMS games did.

21:21 that's one of the first videogames i've ever played, it came in a multi cart for a famicom clone. i hated it lol, the colour brown is so appropriate for how crappy it is.
Not that common, only with modern consoles you can get translated games through the internet. Fighting games, puzzle games, platformers etc. are your best bet if you can't speak/read Japanese.
They're also region locked, Famicom/NES have a different type of connector but N64 are easily playable on American N64's with a small mod. Just a heads up.
I wonder what the chances are that when I visit Japan soon a Hard off I encounter has 20% 50%+ off all items? Probably zero %. I didn't see much that I want and i'll be restricted on suitcase space so no big items. Its very interesting to see a sale like this though so thank you for sharing. The reason the Megadrive is sought after in Japan is because only 3.58 million units were sold in Japan. Japan is Nintendo country. In fact the PC engine sold 5.5 million units in Japan so the Megadrive came absolute last in Japan. Megadrive was huge in the USA, Europe and Australia, but not Japan. Thats why certain titles in the Japanese market demand high prices.
I don’t know how the hard off employees don’t go insane with the same music and ads playing over and over in the background. If I ever go back to Japan and a hard off I’m bring earplugs!!!
With how big of a discount they're offering, you could probably make huge profits reselling some of these games on eBay. There's a big market of people in the US that are into collecting Japanese import retro games. You should do videos showing Gunpla more often.
This would leave less games for the actual collectors in Japan, if everyone did that there'd be nothing left ;) The little profit I could make off of reselling never seems worth it to me.
