i like the fiboroptic light looks bad ass might try it on my next build . as far as the foot well you need 6 of them if you do the back seat . 2 under dash , 4 under the seat 2 facing forward to facing the back for the back seats . unless you dont want it . then how you did yours with 4 but put 2 under dash the other 2 go under the seat facing forward .helps light front better and prevents shadowing from your legs .

You're welcome Abel! Regarding a wire, I'm assuming you are referring to the fiber optic cable? If so I ran the cable into the inside of the clear plastic holder (after the holder was inserted into it's location) then after filling the holder with the fiber I left extra slack so it can reach the light source (the LED) and then I cut it. Nice...I did the footwell lights ( front and rear) and underbody lights and tied them into alarm system and the interior light. So when you unlock the car both lights come on .. as approach lights. Same if you open the door .. The underbody lights come on. But I used the opt7 led kits

@@JamesOKeefe-US..I think its a function of how the lights work. To do it the way you want, I would hard wire my lights to a fuse that turns on with the ignition. But also for the lights to come on I have to turn them on via the physical remote. But once I turn them on via the remote, the control box remembers that the lights were on so I don't have to touch the remote again. Whenever I start the car the lights come on. I am not sure if your control box has that functionality of remembering the previous state when power is applied.

Can you cut the fibre cable, and if you cut it, wouldn't you damage it, please can you explain because I don't understand how it will still work if you cut the cable in short strips

Hi Steven! yes I currently working on that install video, it was actually a very easy install but I did took my time installing it since I didn't want to break anything. Only panels that came off where center console, and left and right side panels. I did disconnect the glovebox so it would hang down giving me access but the wires can technically be run in some many different ways I can see them being installed without touching the glove box. Hi EsJustMe! I think the install cost really comes down to how much detail and how many lights you want to have installed on your car. I seen very quick good looking installs with just one or two strips that can be done in a few hours and I seen extensive installs that taken days with multiple kits installed (the more labor, the more cost there will be). Hi gojjjd doooj! I think that is the reason the BMWs and Mercedes that come from factory with this style of lighting usually have them stay in one color (selectable) or cycling but very slowly thru only few colors for a more conservative approach. So you could potentially set this kit to do the same or even decrease the length of the runs or positions if you don't need or want too much mood lighting. Hope this helps, Cheers!

I think that is the reason the BMWs and Mercedes that come from factory with this style of lighting usually have them stay in one color (selectable) or cycling but very slowly thru only few colors for a more conservative approach. So you could potentially set this kit to do the same or even decrease the length of the runs or positions if you don't need or want too much mood lighting. Hope this helps, Cheers!
