Now that Ford has seen the Chevrolet pickup and its range, they have some info about what the next revision of the F-150 should look like, if they want to do a ground-up redesign. I think they will hold off on major revisions and put their efforts into the launch of the electric Ranger, which is really a better size for a non-work-truck "second vehicle" if they keep the price under control; it is also a better "world truck" size for sales outside the USA. Full size trucks have gotten excessively large for many casual users, since most of them became 4-door centric; very long and clumsy around downsized suburban parking lots, and the miniature 20'x20' home garages that have become commonplace.

Totally. -No transmission -No need for VVT since fixed RPM -No need for 700hp ICE since it's just charging battery -No need for 2000+lb battery to cover every eventuality -Software can be gentle on the ICE - ICE can prevent taxing the battery limits. -90% of driving handled by EV -Zero issues with towing/long trips 4 years + 115k miles in an i3 REx has me convinced. Also, 40 years as a commercial drivers license holder dealing with DEF & $$$ issues helps too.
I think Rivian should put a pause on production on the R1T just to fast forward the R2 and R3 vehicles. I was rooting for VW but they been making way too many bad decisions. Stellantis, they got way too many brands that either needs to be let go one or two go fully EV while the others could do hybrids and have a few ICE vehicles. Also, not having Jeep compete with the Rivian with a few camping outdoor EVs is a miss opportunity.
5:25 "Hyundai's fuel cell vehicle will offer bidirectional charging" is a bit misleading. The fuel cell can't be charged from the grid as compressing/chilling the H2 back into the tanks can't be done in vehicle. I suspect that they're playing on the small battery that buffers the fuel cell output (and possibly limited regen) taking a (small) charge. More correctly it should be called V2L (Vehicle to Load); useful but not quite the same.
Should have just lowered the price on the Lightning isn't of basically discontinuing it. I had $100 reservation on one till it turned out they weren't going to sell the work truck/base model for $40k. Got my $100 back and still don't have a new truck. Dorf! Don't have an electric Transit either because the price still isn't right. Especially not for the insultingly low range it has. Especially for the price! Get it together Ford. Guess they will go out of business after Stelantis.

Bi-directional charging with a fuel cell vehicle. Dang that sounds dumb. (exception if used for emergency power stuff; if we're talking grid ... stupid)
It works out to about $3/KWH. When used in small quantities at the right locations like FEMA response locations it could make sense. Otherwise it the same as having one person dig a ditch and another person fill the ditch and paying both people - perfect government job.
Page 5:44 bidirectional converter has a cost budget to consider. Example : buy hydrogen to feed the grid is smart or dumb? Example : cost Vs. payback from grid to EV and EV to grid is 100% to 100% or not?
Anyone still think VW's Scout venture is viable? If you can't sell F150s that are essentially compromise free trucks for most any owner except someone who tows toys long distances, then how in the world is VW going to launch a new truck brand that also has to compete with Rivian? Naw, Scout's a gonner because VW is on the ropes and can't afford to gamble on a brand that famously sucked in its heyday. No disrespect to Scout sycophants, but it was never a great product, and always struggled to be relevant.

The back of that Hyundai SUV looks like the Pontiac Aztek
It matches the styling on the Santa Fe which has that nearly vertical drop off at the back with essentially no rear bumper.
looks like toyota is feeling the waters for a bronco/wrangler look alike.
