New sub from Florida, USA. The way you prep your vehicles for sale is confidence inspiring and the way things ought to be done by all resellers. Have learned alot about what to look for in Porsches that I didn't know before. I especially appreciate the stories when you reunite a prior owner with a car. I've been looking for my original 997 4S.
These FGP Prep Book videos are strangely addictive, keep them coming! Really enjoyed the Turbo drive, even if it was limited to "60 mph" ;) I love my 2001 996 C4.
I have owned a 997 turbo for past 7 years. The fuel tank is a 'saddle' design going over the front prop shaft, which is why you have to fill more than half a tank to register on the fuel gauge- the petrol fills on the offside and literally has to spill over to the nearside section of the tank to lift the fuel sender. Also please press the handbrake button as you pull the lever up to prevent excess wear on the ratchet mechanism. Great video as always, I love anything Porsche
Have a 2002 Turbo with X50 performance pack. Performance always surprises me when I get back into it from my daily driver. However, you can just cruise around in comfort off boost if you feel like it and its as docile as anything. Definitely a keeper.
Porsche 996 the best of the old and new in one. Beautiful, sleek Le Mans racing style yet with raw grit and Porsche character. Every day all weather drivers urban icon.
These cars with the GT2 bumper and wing are about my favourite looking 911....ageing well....funnily enough when I owned one I thought it was a bit ugly
Agreed! I like my 05' TTS Cab, although I'm getting tired of the niggling shit! wind screen washer not working, turned out to be the "stalk" switch, clutch accumulator failing, quarter window regulator failed, this was a REAL bastard! Water pump, coolant reservoir, front diff. seals, driveshaft flex disc, front rads, All THREE of them.
Grear job with the videos - I immediately went to Google to find your business and as an added bonus got to see your pricing menu. Will be coming to see you once I've found a 996 turbo - Shame you don't have any in stock now!
Stunning car! Would love to swap my regular 996 Carrera convertible for a 996 Turbo convertible. Preferably in yellow, that color looks incredible on a Turbo :)
Just been watching a few of your prep videos have to say think you should give yourself a pat on the back very informative and I have to say love your approach to the vehicles you get with regards doing what needs to be done and more if required bang on. I have been in the first Boxster S since late 2001 bought off a mate top spec and I'm thinking of dipping my toe into a 996 4s wouldn't hesitate to look you up. So if you get one Silver or Red with black or dark grey leather would love one with x51 kit on or maybe 40th Anniversary bear me in mind. Regards Gary
I was once a passenger in a 996 turbo (albeit a tiptronic), and my god was it quick. And a workmate's dad has owned both a 996 and 997 turbo, and my mate preferred the power delievery of the 996. @FGP: do you prefer the 996 turbo or R35 GTR to drive?
I found my dream 996 turbo X50 in guards red for $50,000 but it had TWO odometer discrepancies/alerts. It showed 97,000 miles on the odometer but it looked to have more mileage on the chassis overall. Weird. I passed. I though the engine might have been swapped or rebuilt after a blown engine or something. Should I have bought it anyway? Kelly Blue Book put it at $39,000 max retail and $30,000 private party.
Believe it or not, you can repair the air vents ... as long as the back bone is still in there they can be put back to factory 99% of the time, so don’t throw any away
Love your channel Great content Thinking of 996 C4S vs 996 turbo I’m in Canada and there are nice C4S available for 50-60k but turbos are 90 - 100k. Can’t decide if turbo worth almost double the C4S. The fun you had in turbo has me leaning that direction but can’t deny the value and rear end aesthetics of C4S. Thoughts???
It did, you just obviously never ran it empty then only put what at the was less than about a tenner worth of petrol in. you’re just too rich to have noticed 😂
@@3261carl it’s not a fault it’s the design due to the shape of the tank. I could explain to you exactly how it works but I’m not sure you’d understand 👍🏻
Mate loving the content I love watching you hoon the turbo. Is the exhaust standard? My mate said when he picked up his 996 from you it sounded more beefy?
Whole engine, rear wings (air intakes), engine lid and spoiler, front splitter, alloy wheels (hollow spokes on turbo) are all different for starters. Easier to see the Carrera 4S as a standard Carrera 4 but with the turbo body styling (wider rear wings), turbo brakes & suspension, turbo 'style' alloy wheels (solid spoke) and the unique engine lid with full length reflector.

Totally agree , they're brilliant cars
Had to laugh about filling up, first time I did it I went back into the fuel station and told them I think they have a problem with their pump ! 😅

Love these videos and the honest prep - give confidence in your company. I’m after a toy and need to come and see you!
Really likes the video! in am shopping for a 996 Turbo in Spain...and they are getting pretty expensive. This review was really helpful. Thanks!

Having seen this in the flesh it’s a fine car.
Great cars. I’ve had both the cars here. Also had a C4s which wasn’t as good.
Is that a 928 lurking in the background at PorschaCare? 13:02!!
Turbo front splitter looks better off the car , apart from that excellent
I'am interested in getting a 997 at the moment and it is good to see that you prep the cars properly .
My dream 996 forsure epic car. Great channel. New subscriber...
Enjoyed that... just your parking at the end did my head in lol!!
Same, and....same..!!
Don't worry, it was only a dead end road to some kennels on a Sunday evening. Getting the nice back-drop took priority!

Love your vids. You are a god. Love the cars and the deserved reverence you show them.
Stumbled across your channel. Great content and exciting to see you guys making a success.
Great vid. I have a 996 turbo S manual. Fun car.
rare car
take it to DMS and get the ECU remapped, should get 520 BHP.
Love these videos. Keep them coming 👌
love the turbo
Beautiful car
Long but really great video. How do you think about the clutch of 996TT vs the other n/a engine models?

996 Turbo!
That’s the carrera aero kit on the 2001 C4. Different to the “taco” GT3 rear spoiler (I have a 2001 C4 with the same)

I believe it! we repair them all the time, however, these particular vents had the lugs broken and required replacement.
Love your channel
Great content

Go for the turbo : no IMS issue + better side and back than C4S + twin Turbos
Hasn’t this been on your site for sale a while?
Could you please state power and torque levels for people who aren't clued up on porsche models
Never had this problem with the fuel gauge on my 14000mile 996 turbo when I had it at 4 yrs old.
It did, you just obviously never ran it empty then only put what at the was less than about a tenner worth of petrol in. you’re just too rich to have noticed 😂

It was probably a naturally aspirated model. Yes the Turbo's exhaust is the standard Porsche exhaust.
How much is the average cost of a prepped 2004 996 C2 triptronic? Thx!!
Nice video
Do you know anyone in Long Island New York as dedicated as friends green that can work on Porsche’s?
Any 997's coming up ?
I bet that car is worth 10K more now 👍
What are those strange caps on the headlights of the 996? I noticed it on another one of your videos.
The chrome caps are the headlight washer caps.
Top tip. Do not operate them at high speed as they fly off and are about £60 each 👍🏻
What’s the name of the song ? This Version
Not xxx Version
😂😂 doing nearly 60 now 😂
What tyres are fitted?
Do you use OEM coffin arms? Or third party?
We use good quality third party arms.
Everything on a 996 turbo is the same as a 4S minus interior spec and turbo.
No.
