Thank you for these tips . I'm getting much better I do not talk about my symptoms anymore nor do I complain about them I know I used to be hyperfixated on how I felt the less attention I get to myself the better and set my attention on other things
I really appreciated your explanation on the different ways to SHIFT. This helped me appreciate that a multi-layered approach to safety is going to be more effective than working with only 1 of them.😊
I’m a little late and watching this video but this is great, it’s so hard not to obsess about trigeminal neuralgia pain it feels like someone’s drilling my tooth without anesthesia how in the heck do you not think about that. But I am determined to learn how to do this thank you so much Tanner.❤
Hello from Ukraine! I've watched this video 3 times! You have clearly described my day by day actions enhancing pain. Thoughts about pain become dominant and this vicious circle needs to be brocken. I started to make notes in order to remind my self how to deal with it. Thank you!
Sometimes when I’m feeling okay, I’ll think it’s suspicious and always check my bladder pain through trying different movements to prove it’s still there and I realize I need to stop because it just scares me more. I’m working on it. Thank you for this video.
All of your videos are super helpful! I've been doing a brain retraining course for a year. This is a great addition to what what I've already learned! Thank you!!
Your videos are so helpful. Your explanation are very clear and easy to understand. Thank you so much for offering such valuable information, wisdom and support!!!
My biggest issues are TMJ myofascial pain and mostly trigeminal neuralgia caused by a dental surgery so they say. And I also have IBSC which I have many tricks for including eating tons of vegetables in the evening and then I developed Sibo two years ago After food poisoning and nothing was the same my tricks didn’t work. I have to say without even knowing it, I stopped concentrating on all of the gut issues because I learned about TMS brain retraining and I’m so into watching all of these videos on different channels that within I’d say three maybe four weeks it’s 80% better. I didn’t have time to focus on it anymore I was too busy on focusing on how do I get better and that seemed to eat be an easy place to start because I didn’t have it as long as the trigeminal neuralgia.
What do you think about somatic tracking when you are in severe pain? I heard you shouldn’t do it if the pain is too high But atm my pain is always high
@@lovelymeidiland7803the goal is not to reduce the pain or sensation… the goal would be to teach the brain that the you are safe… eventually the brain is retaught to realize there is no danger and the sensations lessen and leave
Generally when pain or any sensation is to high somatic work is not ideal. This is when nervous system regulation, strategic avoidance, or the skill in this video could be helpful.
I am unformed regarding this condition and if it can potentially be neuroplastic. Generally even when there are structural causes a portion of the symptoms can be neuroplastic. I hope my content can be helpful!
Sorry to hear what you are going through. This can be difficult with more extreme symptoms, but possible. Exploring this skill consistently in different ways could be helpful.
I have my symptoms for about six months now. It feels like a small needle in my urethra. How long does it take to reprogram a Sensation like that? Do you have any tips for that part of the body?
Generally, for any symptom that is neuroplastic all of my content can be helpful. Timeline can really vary person to person. Checkout the brain retraining and somatic practices on my channel!

Thank you for your Videos! Do you have a Tipp for Visual Symptoms? Not looking is mich More difficult because I See them more or less everytime…
Some of the initial symptoms have been improved about 90% and some have worsened. Though the improvement is very sluggish 😢.
I know this healing can be really hard! I wish you the best in your healing!
@@painpsychotherapy Thank you.
Personality wise I am type A and a lot of things are matching with people who are likely having neuroplastic symptoms/conditions.
Yes, this is very common (myself included!)
Tanner how do you take your mind off the symptoms when it’s your vision and eyes
Help would be much appreciated
Generally it could be focusing on other senses such as sound or touch, or alternatively visualizing a calming person, place, or animal.
Tanner ..please give me link on video regulating nervous system .. because your video very helpful ❤❤🙏

@painpsychotherapy thanks tanner 🙏❤️

Normally you would do soothing first followed by somatic tracking, somatic tracking is intended when you’re symptoms are not too high
@ thanks but soothing doesn’t make the pain lower for me

I'm wondering if central post stroke burning pain can be cured with your methods?

If chronic nerve pain and spinal cord shocks are always present, how do you shift away?

This is hard because my symptoms literally keep me from living life so idk what to tell my family.
Sorry to hear this. It can definitely take some exploring of other topics to discuss with people. I know when I was healing I even wrote out a list!
What about if you have fibromyalgia and your full body is in pain, how to not look for that bc I don’t feel like I’m looking, I just feel it
Sorry to hear about your symptoms. Yes, it can take some exploration of different ways to shift to safety.
This is so confusing with somatic tracking. Somatic tracking says to focus on it now it’s like don’t focus on it. I get confused about it.
With somatic tracking we are practicing attending to the symptoms differently, outside of this through the day the LCTT skill can be helpful.
@ I guess idk how to do this when symptoms are visible or affect living abilities. Especially when ppl ask questions.
