    Thank you for these tips
    . I'm getting much better I do not talk about my symptoms anymore nor do I complain about them I know I used to be hyperfixated on how I felt the less attention I get to myself the better and set my attention on other things

    I really appreciated your explanation on the different ways to SHIFT. This helped me appreciate that a multi-layered approach to safety is going to be more effective than working with only 1 of them.😊

      I’m a little late and watching this video but this is great, it’s so hard not to obsess about trigeminal neuralgia pain it feels like someone’s drilling my tooth without anesthesia how in the heck do you not think about that. But I am determined to learn how to do this thank you so much Tanner.❤

    Hello from Ukraine! I've watched this video 3 times! You have clearly described my day by day actions enhancing pain. Thoughts about pain become dominant and this vicious circle needs to be brocken. I started to make notes in order to remind my self how to deal with it. Thank you!

    Sometimes when I’m feeling okay, I’ll think it’s suspicious and always check my bladder pain through trying different movements to prove it’s still there and I realize I need to stop because it just scares me more. I’m working on it. Thank you for this video.

    My biggest issues are TMJ myofascial pain and mostly trigeminal neuralgia caused by a dental surgery so they say. And I also have IBSC which I have many tricks for including eating tons of vegetables in the evening and then I developed Sibo two years ago After food poisoning and nothing was the same my tricks didn’t work. I have to say without even knowing it, I stopped concentrating on all of the gut issues because I learned about TMS brain retraining and I’m so into watching all of these videos on different channels that within I’d say three maybe four weeks it’s 80% better. I didn’t have time to focus on it anymore I was too busy on focusing on how do I get better and that seemed to eat be an easy place to start because I didn’t have it as long as the trigeminal neuralgia.

    What do you think about somatic tracking when you are in severe pain? I heard you shouldn’t do it if the pain is too high
    But atm my pain is always high

    • @edgargevorkyan5082
      @edgargevorkyan5082 16 днів тому +3

      Normally you would do soothing first followed by somatic tracking, somatic tracking is intended when you’re symptoms are not too high

      @@lovelymeidiland7803the goal is not to reduce the pain or sensation… the goal would be to teach the brain that the you are safe… eventually the brain is retaught to realize there is no danger and the sensations lessen and leave

      Generally when pain or any sensation is to high somatic work is not ideal. This is when nervous system regulation, strategic avoidance, or the skill in this video could be helpful.

    This is so confusing with somatic tracking. Somatic tracking says to focus on it now it’s like don’t focus on it. I get confused about it.

    • @painpsychotherapy

      With somatic tracking we are practicing attending to the symptoms differently, outside of this through the day the LCTT skill can be helpful.

      @ I guess idk how to do this when symptoms are visible or affect living abilities. Especially when ppl ask questions.
