Yeah Hugh could’ve sleepwalked through this movie and it still would’ve made bank as long as he put on the mask. But I’m thankful he put in such a great performance, he took his return seriously. This scene is arguably the best in the movie because it’s a wake up call to Wade and shows the human side of these superheroes. Ryan wrote this monologue showing he knows what would affect Wade the most, how Logan would tear him down, and what would be a turning point in their dynamic. It’s so good!
