This is a great product, my toilet was leaking due to the flange being too low and the wax ring not sealing. I happened to find this on you tube while i was searching for help. Found this at my local home improvement store, worked perfect.
Well thought-out product. Can be adapted to a lot of situations. Thanks for the demonstration. I have to fix a rocking toilet but I might need this. Thanks again.
I used one of the screw in flanges and it went down to where it was the thickness of the flange ABOVE the floor-- and the damn thing will NOT set level- it rocks- but I placed a level on it and it's NOT crooked.. Either way it sits the thickness of the flange ABVOE the floor- I can't drill into the concrete and it won't pull down any more anyway. I may have to cut it out and use a new one.. (I'm not able to do that drilling right now.)
Do I really need to worry about a quarter of an inch gap between a tile job and existing, in-good-shape, flange? A 3/4 inch wax ring should seal in reality, right?
all i can say out of all the other products out there, this by far is the very best . thanks for your youtube clip/very helpful .(A.. PLUS) all the way. buyit you won't regret it. leaky repairs cost way more then,25.00 to do your job right the first time. God bless you.
are you sure about grouting around the toilet? I keep reading that if you do get a leak under, the grout would hold water back thus rotting the floor.with out your knowledge this happened to me
No don't grout the toilet to the floor. you can use silicone but in the back of the toilet leave an area that has no silicone to relive any leaks that happen in time.
My issue is, the flange height using the thinnest shim is a hair off the floor surface. If I used just the black seal ring and not the thinnest shim, the added flange will be just level to the floor height. If I use the thinnest spacer I am afraid the flange height could cause an issue when lowering the toilet on the wax ring. Will it sit just high enough off the floor to cause the toilet to move back and forth?
Allen, great product. Question: Your video covers one of my issues where tiles were installed and now i'm 1/2 inch deep but I am also 2 inches short from the wall and toilet due to tiles being installed on walls. I understand that there needs to be 12 inches away from the wall to the screws of the toilet. Do you have something that will allow me to make adjustments the the distance or will I need to find another toilet? Thanks.
Do you already have a toilet flange installed? And are using the extender to be at the finished floor height? If so, then the opening on the extender is sufficient. We designed it for a 3” pipe and the waste hole of the toilet itself...but it works equally as well on a 4” pipe. Also, we made the depth of the extender a bit longer for deeply recessed toilet flanges...but you can cut some of that off if it makes you feel better about going down the 4” pipe easier. Thanks for your comment. Tom
@@rlknight57 Yes...that should absolutely work too. Of course, it will also depend on whether the T&S flange is able to sit on top or be level with the finished floor and is supported.

If it's code approved and no doubt then a quality product, why is it not sold at places like Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, etc?
It's sold at Lowes .

what about offset flanges
They are now part of Oatey, search for Set-Rite when it takes you to Oateys page.

Impressed, hope it works as good as you say, cast iron inch under newer tile, I will be ordering
Original toilet bolted to floor with pipe floor level. So, "all" I need to do is install the piece that fits flat to floor?
After the yellow piece is installed, do u put regular wax ring down then secure the toilet on top of that?
Yes, That’s how I understand it.
Does anyone know if the self tapping stainless screws are capable of going through concrete after they self tap through a cast flange?

Does anything change if the floor is concrete? I"ve been told by plumbers not to drill into the concrete slab.
do your screws you provide drill into concrete after the original house flange
You have to buy separate masonry/concrete screws/anchors, and pre-drill the holes before screwing them in.
Does this work well with an ABS flange? And should the exterior perimeter be siliconed?
Did this get bought out by oatey?
yes.

Great video. All of the answers I was looking for.
Perfect solution for my master bath remodel!

Simply "rip the wall tile dow from floor to 1.5 feet up.🥴
Now this was a very well thought out system design! I am ordering now
Excellent video 👍
Does this work with a non wax ring?
I don’t like the fact that the opening in the extender is so small. I have a 4” ABS sewer pipe in the sub floor.

@@tommcgaughan3391 Yes, the original flange is still intact so my fix is a “Twist and Set” installed on top of it to raise it up.
